Dragon Devourer System

Note: The main character is male. The novel is written in 3rd person. I never could guess life would be this terrifying. In the past, I was a high-ranked adventurer looking for riches and fame, fulfilling every request of the Adventurer's Guild and gaining a substantial prestige. I still remember the old legends from my hometown, the legends of dragons, absolute beings who even the gods fear. And now, it seems I somehow got reincarnated into a dragon. ------------------------------------------------------------- The artwork does not belong to me and if anyone knows the artists of this work, please let me know and I will credit them. Immortal Young Master

Now that he had used all his stat points, Jacob willed for the Status screen to switch to the Magic Panel screen. It did not take long for his stats screen to vanish, to be replaced by a large screen with the name "Dragon's Magic" written in white letters on the top.

[DRAGON'S MAGIC]

[Racial Magic: A dragon can naturally consume mana from their surroundings, filling up their stomach.]

[Affinity magic: Annihilation.]

[Passive Magic Skill: Host gains strength based on the number of enemies (detected killed intent) within a certain radius.]]

[Passive Magic Skill: Host has control over the natural mana in his surroundings and can shape it.]

[Domain magic: Locked. Host must further evolve in order to unlock his Domain.]

His gaze was drawn first to the racial's magic, where he noticed that something had changed since the last time he checked his Magic's screen, which was also when he was reborn as a dragon.

It had previously informed him, from what he remembered, that he could consume mana from corpses, which would fill his stomach. Now that he has become a young dragon, this has been replaced by "consume mana from their surroundings", removing his previous food bar in his Status's screen.

Jacob had already noticed it, as when he breathed, he felt an odd energy enter his lungs, which would later spread throughout his entire body. When he checked his Status in the palace, he assumed he was breathing mana, as the mana points and affinity had become unlocked.

This was the reason he tried to breathe mana after the System stole some of his mana while he was trying his luck in the Divine Dragon Bloodline Pool. Although he was still perplexed as to why the System had taken his mana, he did not dwell on it further.

After all, he had gained a bloodline from an ancient Dragon God, and a very powerful one at that. At that time, Jacob was tired and could not fully process the vast amount of information provided by his System.

However, he remembered it clearly saying that his new bloodline would interfere with his next evolutions.

This thought brought him back to his recent evolution from baby dragon to young dragon. He had the theory that his evolution had to do something with his level ups. He was not sure at first, but the more he thought about it, the more it made sense.

Before passing out on the battlefield, he gave a peek to the System's alerts, and he noticed the large number of level ups messages, as well as an odd message following them, asking him if he wanted to evolve.

However, Jacob was not sure if this was real or he had dreamed it, as everything after he killed Old Dragon was blurry in his mind. He continued reading his Dragon's Magic panel, putting aside his stray thoughts.

His affinity magic was the next thing he looked at. It was previously locked, informing him that he needed to evolve in order to unlock that section. But now, it was unlocked and displaying the word "Annihilation" on it, which came as no surprise given Jacob's knowledge of it from his Status screen.

However, he only knew what his affinity was and not what it did. This was the reason he was checking the Dragon's Magic screen in the first place.

Fortunately, the various applications of his magic's affinity were described below, or he would have wasted his time checking the System. Jacob's attention was drawn to his first passive magic skill, which appeared to be a strengthening type.

Based on what the System was telling him, his affinity would make him stronger if he were fighting against any enemy, to the point where the more enemies he faced, the stronger he would become.

Nonetheless, the description provided him with no indication of how strong he would become or the area in which this passive skill would work. It seemed that he had to find out about these things on his own.

He did, however, find the enemy's concept of his affinity intriguing. According to the explanation, only individuals which possessed killing intent toward him would activate the passive magic skill, but this made him wonder what would happen if the enemy did not exert any killing intent.

He had heard many rumors regarding powerful people during his days as an adventurer. The Immortal Young Master came to his mind as he read about killing intent.

The Immortal Young Master was a man from another continent who possessed magical abilities that no one had ever witnessed on his home continent.

Immortal Young Master was rumored to have murdered numerous people without a single trace of murder intent. He even had a relaxed expression on his face while carrying out the killings. As a result, many people regarded him as a terrifying existence that should not be provoked.

Would not this ability become completely useless if there was an enemy who did not have a killing intent, such as the Immortal Young Master? What would he do if he came across him someday?

He was somewhat wary of coming upon the powerful figures he had heard about during his time as an adventurer, but he was not afraid. After all, he was no longer a human, but a dragon. His mindset was gradually changing to those of a top predator.

The next magic skill he saw in the Dragon's Magic Screen was one which surprised him. The ability to control the natural mana presented in one's surroundings, including the ability to give them shape.

Based on this, he could attack with forms made entirely of mana, giving them the appearance of human weapons, such as swords. Exactly like what the Old Dragon used in his battle against the Impaler of Gods.

Jacob had never heard of such a thing before. He was aware that fire users could control the fire from their surroundings, and even some geniuses could create fire from thin air, and this was the common ground for every magic's affinity he had heard of.

He had never seen or heard anything like an affinity with non-attribute mana before. He became intrigued about how he could use it, and wanted to try it right away. However, the System suddenly sent him an odd message, abruptly closing his Dragon's Magic screen.

[The System has detected that Host had met the last condition for the System's Awakening. The Awakening of the System is now unlocked.]

[Starting the System's Awakening…]

[The Awakening has been successfully completed. The Trial Period has come to an end.]

"At long last, I can finally speak... Hello, little brat."

Hello! Here you have the new chapter. It is a bit later than usual since I was planning to take the day to rest, but I woke up earlier than I expected, so I could write today's chapter.

Remember to support the novel by giving Power Stones! Reviews are also well welcomed :)
