Present.

"Well, it seems like he is doing quite well for himself," Quentin said as he stood on the walls overlooking the cliff, a small smile playing on his face.

"How the hell did he even recognize me?" Garcia spoke as she muttered, pulling off her hood.

"He would have recognized you even if he were blind. Even though you recognized him, guess those scars he gave you weren't just for show."

"Fuck…."

"We might have to delay the plan for now," Quentin spoke as Grais frowned.

"I will relay the orders." Grais spoke as Quentin sighed. It won't be long before Kenric finds them.

"Hopefully my swordsmanship hasn't gotten rusty," Quentin muttered as Grais stared at him.

"Did you say something?"

"None of your business."

Grais gritted her teeth; Fucker was only this strong due to them helping him. But no matter how much she tried, she wasn't able to hold a candle to Quentin's capabilities.

But this was for the betterment of the group, so she was fine following his lead since they had been able to build back under him.

Quentin On the other hand, saw Grais leaving as he touched the hilt of the sword that had stayed with him for the last five years.

His hand shook a little as he held the hilt tightly.

He should be prepared; after all, he had to deal with the annoying ability of Kenric, which even made him feel a bit jealous.

==

Tch,

Kenric clicked his tongue, wiping out the slight trail of blood seeping out of his left eye. What a shitty ability! He walked, heading for the Hightown passing by Templars passing around.

"So you are here!" Kenric heard the voice as he turned to find a man who seemed to be in his 30s heading for him.

Seeker Walter was the one accompanying Darius and him to Kirkwall.

"Seeker" Kenric nodded at him as the latter noticed the slight blood still on his face, as he wanted to ask but didn't.

"Senior Darius and the knight commander are looking for you. I believe you know  why."He spoke as Kenric smiled.

"Please lead the way." Kenric spoke his gaze calmly as Walter nodded, leading him inside as he couldn't help but smile. At first, he was doubtful if a kid from a noble family would be a good fit for the Seekers, but he had been pleasantly proven wrong with Kenric; not only was he getting along with Darius, he hadn't complained once.

Entering the office located on the second floor of the building, the first thing Kenric saw was an irritated mug of Darius staring at him.

"I leave you for one day, and you kick up a fuss," Darius spat as Kenric smirked.

"Ah well, I was just lost in old memories."

"…..who were you fighting?"

"An old friend"

Darius stared at the teen in front of him; he was about to say something when Guylian intervened.

"Is this old friend part of the group that calls itself Eye of Andraste?"

Guylian asked as Kenric looked at him before sighing.

"Well, I don't know what they are calling themselves now, but it seems to be that way."

He spoke, staring at the knight commander, who was seated on the sofa next to the window that gave a beautiful view of the city below.

"Do you know where they are currently?" Guylian asked as the teen shrugged,

"No Idea"

"You sure?" This time, Darius spoke as Kenric stared at him.

"How am I supposed to find people in such a large city?"

An awkward silence descended in the room. Walter spoke to break the silence.

"Kenric, we know that you may want to settle scores with your previous 'friends', but they may put normal civilians in danger. So please do tell us anything that might help."

Kenric stared at the three men before sighing, "Well, since they have come back, they might try something similar to last time, so I would advise that you ramp up security around the circle and in the low town. Also, it would be nice if you got your recruits and the reserve forces to participate."

"So we might also be a target?" Guylian asked as Kenric shrugged.

"Anybody is a target, but it is best to be safe."

"What are you going to do?" Darius asked as the teen smirked.

"You and I have somewhere to be."

===

"You already found them, didn't you?" Darius spoke a he grabbed his sword.

Kenric shrugged, looking at the old man, who had grabbed his armor and was strapping it on. Kenric didn't answer, as he was busy checking his swords.

"Well, since you want to deal with this on your own, I won't interfere…" Darius spoke, his gaze turning sharp as he stared at his apprentice. "But I will step in if you lose control."

"Ha, I don't plan to kill all of them, just a few fuckers and a bitch."

"Is that mage around your age in those fuckers?"

"Not unless he steps in; I already gave him plenty of chances to get out. Since he doesn't want to, I will deal with him. You can take care of the mob."

"Mob?"

"The underlings"

"I have a sudden urge to beat you up."

"Please do it after I am done getting rid of a few things."

Kenric spoke with a smile dancing on his face. Darius didn't say much, but the knock on the door interrupted them.

"Come in"

It was at this time that the Knight Captain Meredith walked in along with three others: two mages and a Templar who seemed to be in his 20s.

"High Seeker!" Meredith nodded lightly at the old man before turning to Kenric and doing the same.

"Commander Guylian and Enchanter Maceron would like to apologize for not being able to assist you directly, as their duties hold them down. As such, we have been instructed to assist you with whatever you need." Meredith spoke, looking at Darius, who just shrugged.

"Look at the kid; it's his decision." He spoke as Kenric stared at him and the four pairs of eyes turned to him.

"We might be killing, so if you are comfortable with it, you can come; otherwise, you will be more useful defending the city and maintaining order." Kenric spoke as none of the eyes lost focus.

"Good, we leave in a few minutes; be prepared." Kenric ordered as the Knight Captain looked at him, her eyes lingering on Kenric for a while before she left the room with the others.
