Battle between friends.

Getting to the simulation room, they both had their weapons out from their inventory,standing opposite each other, Emiera had a smug look on her face as she began rotating her blade in a clockwise motion, generating winds around her.

Elena couldn't take any chances. She needed to win this fight and also defeat emeira if she wanted to get her rewards from the system.

activating the claymore and also activating her Blaze skill, she blazed forward and closed the gap between them. The moment she arrived in front of emeira, emeira swung her sword at her. Emiera's attack had a crazy amount of wind power sent out with it.

sensing the immense power behind this simple attack, elena quickly swung out her own sword, making a cross shape as both swords collided.

Emiera could feel her wind power being zapped into the Claymore. She was confused. During Elena's previous match, she thought elena could dissolve Aruh's fire ability and also carry out a fire based attack.

right now, it felt like Elena's sword was stealing the power behind her attack. if this was a battlefield and the battle had been kept up for a long time,she knew she would run out of energy, which wouldn't end well for her.

Quickly pulling back her sword, she sent out wind infused blades with her vampire energy, seeing this, elena channelled her own energy through the claymore, also sending out series of attacks, the claymore attacks absorbed all the winds Emiera had infused into her energy attack.

leaving just the energy blades, which then collided with Elena's energy attack, both attacks cancelled out each other, dissolving into little particles.

Seeing this, elena was stunned, "Just how powerful was her attack?" She wondered. The claymore had already weakened Emiera's attack by absorbing the wind out from it, but here,emiera's vampire energy was strong enough to cancel hers. Elena couldn't help but think of emeira as a monster.

Emiera, on the other hand, was having similar thoughts running through her mind. That was one of her strong attacks, and Elena's attack could match with hers and even cancel out each other. if elena was on the mage Rank, she would understand, but she knew elena was just a vampire on the ordinary vampire Rank.

they both kept sending out various attacks, which only left them in a stalemate. so far, the claymore had absorbed enough wind attacks to send out a wind based attack of its own, but elena was holding that for later.

clearly frustrated with not being able to deliver clean hit on elena, Emiera closed her eyes and started running around elena at a very fast speed, one that far surpassed Elena's Blaze skill. due to the speed emira was running at, she was leaving after images behind her.

at this point, anyone looking at them from outside would feel there were tens of emeira running around elena, emiera was gathering the wind force, she was slowly building it up,waiting for the right moment to unleash everything on elena.

elena stood still, not phased by this move, she had already activated her new skill "scrutiny" she had scanned through every image of emeira surrounding her, she could already pinpoint the location of the real emiera.

without holding back, she began swinging her sword from side to side, slowly absorbing the energy around her, pushing forward, waiting for the right moment when emiera would be in front of her. After waiting for less than a second emeira was almost in front of her again, so she threw out her sword aiming for emiera's thigh, at the same time allowing the sword to unleash the wind ability it has absorbed so far.

the sword penetrated emeiras thigh, this slowed down her speed greatly, as she was unable to completely stop running due to how fast she had been running, in the next instance the claymore sent out a massive wind attack, sending emeira flying several feets in the air, before she came crashing down.

the force behind the attack had separated Emiera from the claymore, rushing forward, elena grabbed the claymore from the ground before making her way, to emiera who was lying down on the floor, smiling.

although she was injured, she respected Elena's battle prowess. she knew she had been defeated by a vampire in a lower rank than hers, but this only meant she needed to train more and get stronger.

the injury on her thighs began to heal in front of Elena's eyes. A few moments later, Emiera was up on her both feet.

"Tell me, girl, how do you do it? I could feel you zapping off the power behind my attacks each time I used my ability, " and you used my own power against me at the end of our match, I know this because the wind power felt familiar, it was mine I just couldn't control it, it was like it has a mind of its own."

Emiera had a curious look on her face like a little child while asking elena a series of questions. "hnm, I I I don't know, it just happens each time someone attacks me with an ability, I'm not sure how I do it." Elena responded, she had lied, and emiera could tell. She was, of course, disappointed at elena, but she didn't let it show.

Elena, on the other hand, was ok lying because she had taken to heart Dracula's warning. She couldn't trust anyone in this world, who knew if emeira would one day turn against her. it was better she was safe than to feel sorry for herself at the end of the day.

elena could already feel her powers increase the moment she got the notification. Moving up a level always gave her a sweet feeling.

right now, she wanted to head to her room and check out her growth so far. before she could say anything, emiera brought out a pocket watch, and she exclaimed in excitement "Ah its time to go grab our blood flasks, I'm starving, let's head over to the canteen."

seeing how happy she was because it was time to eat. elena couldn't help but laugh, " You know you're just an overgrown baby. Who would believe you were the same person fighting a few minutes ago?"

they both laughed, heading to the door, Elena remembered something. "em, emiera as a V.i.p student, we get our blood flasks delivered to our rooms now, there's no need to go to the canteen"

hearing this emiera replied, "Oh, I forgot, Gerald did mention it though, I guess we have to head back to our rooms then."

they head back to the living area, where they both said their goodbyes for now as they each head into their room.

stepping inside, elena could see the tray on the table in her room. There was a flask of blood and lightly grilled meat.

ignoring the tray of blood and meat for now. She decided to check her progress so far. asking the system to open up her attributes bar.
