I wake up to hear beeping, I open my eyes to see I was connected to a heart monitor and an IV drip

I go to roll over but I hit a body I look over to see Jay laying on the right side of my bed and Antonio and Gabi sleeping in the chairs on each side of my bed

I shake Jay and he opens his eyes, he pulls me into his chest

"Please don't ever do that again Kennedy," he says kissing my head I cough feeling a pang of pain ring through my chest

"You ok?" He asks and I point to my chest coughing, I sign out the letters for Rhodes and he looks at me clueless

"Get Rhodes," I say in a raspy voice coughing more

He jumps up running out the door hitting Antonios chair in the process

"Wha?" He jumps up, he sees me up he runs over to me, I was still coughing and it was getting more frequent and the pain in my chest and it was getting worse

"Wheres Jay?" Antonio asks and I sign out Rhodes

"He went to get Rhodes?" He asks and I nod my head hitting my chest as it starts to get worst

"Hey Kennedy nice to see you awake" Connor smiles and he realizes I was hitting my chest

"Ken does your chest hurt?" I nod my head still coughing

Kennedy starts to flat line

"KENNEDY!" I yell pushing Jay out of the way and rushing to her side Gabi wakes up and Jay and Antonio rush her out

"We need a crash cart" I hear April about as she runs in

"Push one of Epi," I say starting compressions

"One of Epi pushed," April says as Ethan brings the crash cart in

"Charge to 200," I say, I grab the paddles and shock her and nothing

"Charge again," I say shocking her again

I watch as they work on Kennedy

"Jay c'mon you shouldn't see this" I hear Will say

"I need her to live man, she's the first one since Erin, I can't lose her too," I say standing there, he pulls me in for a hug and I lose it

"She'll make it bro I know it shes a Dawson she's a fighter," he says as Gabi walks over

"She loves you, Jay, she's a fighter we all know that she's had a messed up past but hopefully she has a better future with you," she says hugging me

"Shes liked you since she first met you I know that, that smile she got when you first talked to her I haven't seen her smile like that in years," Antonio says as Connor walks out

"She's stable but she isn't out of the woods her body is reacting to what he gave her earlier," he says

"We had to intubate her so the machine is breathing for her, earlier the oxygen was basically caught in her chest which was causing the pain she felt" he explains

"Thanks for everything Connor," Antonio says shaking Connors' hand

"No problem Antonio she's a friend and colleague" he smiles and Gabi gives him a hug

"Thanks," I say shaking his hand

"You guys can go in but not for long you guys she needs to rest and so do you," he says and we nod our heads and we walk in

I let Gabi and Antonio sit with her first while Will and I stand outside

"Please do everything you can, I just can't lose her Will, she's the first girl I had strong feelings about since Erin," I say pulling my hands down my face

"I will Jay she means a lot to us here at Med and hell she might be the future, Mrs. Jay Halstead," he says pushing me laughing, I push back smiling at the thought

"Oh my god she might be," he says

"Shut up we haven't even gone a first date yet," I say looking at Kennedy seeing Gabi and Antonio sit in the chairs again

"You better before she gets tired of waiting for you to ask," he says walking in and sitting at the end of her bed talking with Antonio and Gabi
