CH 42: Arachnid External Soul Bones
After picking up the trio's storage devices, he walked towards the corpse of the giant spider. "Huhuhu~, this is some bullshit, man!" Ah Li laughed, picking up what the Man Faced Demon Spider had so graciously given him.
Not one, but two External Soul Bones! He couldn't be happier! He knew that the spider legs would definitely show up, since that was prepared for Tang San. But he didn't expect a second External Soul Bone.
"Li'er, your luck is just out of this world." Bibi Dong laughed dryly :"I think you're the first person in history to have two External Soul Bones, little guy." And he couldn't help but nod frantically. But he was surprised by Nightmare :"She's right. You're really a lucky one."
"Oh, good morning, Nightmare." He greeted, and the centipede nodded :"Hello. So what happened here? I woke up when I sensed an External Soul Bone nearby. I didn't expect to see two of them though."
Ah Li explained what had happened. After explaining, Nightmare hummed :"Alright, I understand. You should absorb these two External Soul Bones immediately. The sooner you fuse with them, the faster they'll completely bond with you. I'll help keep a lookout."
"Nightmare is right." Bibi Dong agreed :"It's not a bright idea to keep an External Soul Bone around without absorbing it. Not only is it wasting a precious treasure, but it may also invite unnecessary trouble. We'll keep an eye out around you while you absorb them. Also, don't deactivate your orbs. Let the barrier stay."
He wasn't going to disagree or argue. He was dying to absorb them already. Looking at the External Soul Bones, one fit for the back, and the other fit for the arm, he was extremely excited. He hadn't been so excited in quite a long time.
He first stored the Man Faced Demon Spider's corpse. The body of a Soul Beast was precious and beneficial. Especially the corpse of a rare Soul Beast like the Man Faced Demon Spider. He wasn't going to waste it.
And after doing so, he sat down. Entering the lotus position as he began to absorb them both at the same time. His body was already tough enough to handle 10,000-year Soul Rings. With his Orbs active, he wouldn't have a single problem absorbing two 2,000-year Soul Bones. Even if they were External Soul Bones, he still wouldn't have an issue.
Feeling the foreign Soul Power entering his body, coursing through it and latching onto certain parts, trying to change and integrate into them, his mind focused on them alone. Leaving his body for his trusted companions to guard.
But with his barrier still around and the energy exiting his body, scaring away all beings, be it intelligent or unintelligent ones, none of the three needed to worry. Simply that energy would be enough to vaporize anything below god-level that tried to harm him.
His strength belonging to that of a 1,130,000-years was no joke after all. Hours passed quickly in the dead of the night, no sensing what was inside of the invisible barrier, and no creature inside of it daring to come close to what had caused the changes.
Finally having absorbed both External Soul Bones, Ah Li's eyes fluttered open and he exhaled a comfortable sigh. Smirking as he stood up, he released both of what he had gained tonight.
Eight spider legs, purple in color with pink veins, stretched out from the metallic object that appeared on his back. Looking extremely sharp, and as the rules said, if something was too colorful, it was definitely poisonous, or extremely poisonous.
But things didn't end there.
The same metallic object appeared around both of his wrists, but in black, in different shape and with no spider legs sticking out of them. Looking at them all, Ah Li smiled excitedly as he cheered :"Yes! Hell yes!"
Looking at the spider legs, Bibi Dong's eyes went wide. Shock filling her as realization hit her :'These spider legs... this is Tang San's External Soul Bone! Or at least was supposed to be his. So this is how he got it.' Realizing the turn of events, a cruel smile etched onto her gorgeous face.
The Eight Spider Lances were one of the greatest weapons of Tang San, which had helped him greatly in becoming so strong in her original timeline. It was because of this External Soul Bone that he managed to absorb a 10,000-year Soul Ring for his 4th Soul Ring as far as she knew! Which had helped him greatly. But without it, that bastard had suffered a great loss.
She couldn't help but smile in delight. Not only had they taken away his precious 1st Soul Ring of 100-years and had made him absorb a 10-year one, they had ruined his Martial Soul completely, and now they had taken away his treasured External Soul Bone! Forget about absorbing a 10,000-year Soul Ring for his 4th Soul Ring, it would be impressive if he could absorb a 1,000-year one.
However, looking at the happy and excited Ah Li, she couldn't help but smile gently. Him acting childish would always lift her mood. "Congratulations, Li'er." She smiled, rubbing his cheek gently, loving how he happily leaned into her touch :"You've absorbed two more External Soul Bones. Hahaha which is honestly ridiculous now that I say it. Two more External Soul Bones. As if so many people have a single one to begin with."
Nightmare, nodding :"Hm, Bibi Dong is right. Even though I don't know much about humans, I know that a normal Soul Bone is already very rare and hard to come by. Much less an External Soul Bone. Yet here you are, having actually fused with three External Soul Bones. I think most people would die of jealousy."
Bibi Dong, seriously :"And almost all of them would kill out of jealousy. Li'er, you already know how precious Soul Bones are, and how External Soul Bones are considered the treasures among treasures. You must definitely keep these hidden until you've completely fused with them like your Nightmare Sickles. Otherwise, be ready to kill hundreds, if not thousands of Soul Masters."
Ah Li :"Yeah, you're right. I should definitely keep it a secret for some time."
Bibi Dong, smiling :"So what are you planning to name these ones?"
Ah Li, shrugging :"Eh, you know I like things simple. Arachnid Scythes and Arachnid Bracelets will do."
Bibi Dong :"Hm, so are you going to tell me about the two External Soul Bones or what?"
Ah Li, smiling :"Glad you asked! Lemme explain."

1) Eight independently manipulable appendages.
2) Toxic and corrosive poison of the Man Faced Demon Spider.
3) Poison Synthesis: can not only inject poison through stabbing, but can also create and bring out the poison inside of the Arachnid Scythes.

7) The Queen: extremely small Man Faced Demon Spiders live inside of the Arachnid Scythes with numbers and age according to the age of the Soul Bone and Ah Li's Rank, with the calculation of Years = x5ⁿ and Ranks = x5ⁿ, where the result of both will be combined. They don't have any intelligence nor feelings and will follow all of his orders like puppets, even if it's to kill themselves. Ah Li and they themselves can also control their sizes to grow bigger or shrink.

(2,000-year Man Faced Demon Spider: Arachnid Bracelets)

Description: bracelets that can shoot out various webs. An Arachnid Bracelet, which is a black bracelet, will appear on each hand, even on the extra hands brought by the Abyssal Centipede Martial Soul. The Arachnid Bracelets can also extend to become fingerless gloves or turn into actual claws. Have the special feature to be seen as normal bracelets unless Soul Power is poured into it.
1) 100% increase in all attributes for each Arachnid Bracelet.
2) Stingers: extremely sharp retractable stingers can come out of the bracelets which had the same poison as the Man Faced Demon Spider.
3) Life vitality draining.
4) Poison re-absorption.
5) Domain of Slaughter: Domain-type Soul Skill where the field in a 100m radius can be filled with the almost invisible threads of Arachnid Scythes. Ah Li can control the threads to not hurt allies. The area of effect will increase by a digit every Sacred Level. 100m at Lv 10. 1km at Lv 20. 10km at Lv 30. 100km at Lv 40. 1,000km at Lv 50. 10,000km at Lv 60. 100,000km at Lv 70. 1,000,000km at Lv 80. 10,000,000km at Lv 90.
6) Thread Manipulation: Ah Li can create, shape and manipulate threads and strings, long, thin and flexible forms of material. Most commonly, he can generate them and use them to control the movements of people and manipulate their movements akin to how a puppeteer controls puppets. He can also move threads telekinetically or use them to move other objects. Depending on their tensile strength and durability, thread manipulation can be used as a thin and stealthy weapon to slice up enemies or cut through objects with ease. Moreover, Ah Li can shape strings into weapons, such as whips and swords, or use them to form shields or traps to bind his opponents and immobilize them.
7) Threads of Slaughter: a new type of thread will be acquired every Rank so that the base form of the threads can change into that form of thread. The colors can also be changed. Extremely beautiful, soft and silk-like texture that can be used for clothing and such. Extremely hard and tougher than most things. The weight of the threads can also be controlled to make them light as a feather or as heavy as an entire mountain. The durability of the webs increases with Ah Li's strength.

1) Decapitating Thread: an almost invisible and extremely deadly thread that can cut through almost anything without difficulty. The strength of the Decapitating Thread depends on Ah Li's strength and Soul Power Level. Can also be strengthened even further by linking the Arachnid Scythes with the Physical Power Orb. Ah Li can also turn them into normal threads to use them as silk and for clothes or such.
2) Marionette's Thread: anything caught in it, living or not, becomes Ah Li's puppet.

"Oh, wow..." To Bibi Dong's surprise, the External Soul Bones were even more powerful than she expected. She knew the power of the Arachnid Scythes, previously named Eight Spider Lances by Tang San, in her original timeline.
But she didn't expect them to be even more powerful when fused with Ah Li. Tang San had never had The Queen ability, and frankly, she's happy he didn't. That was simply a bullshit ability. It basically let him have an army of one of the most deadly Soul Beasts! And the size of the army would simply increase with the age of the Soul Bone and Ah Li's Rank!
Normally, that wouldn't be possible. But External Soul Bones are so treasured because of the fact they can grow stronger with the Soul Master, and she had seen Tang San's Eight Spider Lances change and evolve multiple times.
Even now, with Ah Li being just a Lv 20 Soul Grandmaster and the Arachnid Scythes being simply 1,000-year, he could still make a small army of 50 2,000-year Man Faced Demon Spiders! An army that size was nothing, but that would be for humans.
One 2,000 Man Faced Demon Spider was still extremely deadly, and the reason why Ah Li didn't have a problem killing it was because he was by no means normal. An army of Man Faced Demon Spiders would make anybody tremble. Even she shivered at the thought of how horrifying that army would be when the Arachnid Scythes grew stronger and older, causing the army to grow stronger and older.
Martial Soul Hall Temple was so overwhelmingly powerful because of its army of Soul Masters. How powerful would Ah Li be with an army of Soul Beast that would continuously grow with him? The thought of it was making her smile sinisterly.
