To You Who Have Left

It has been twenty thousand years since the fall of the evil Spirit Hall, the birth of seven new gods, and the rise of Shrek Academy. In a matter of a few years, seven gods were born, a world power was destroyed entirely, and a new one rose in its place.

Ten thousand years ago the once-powerful Tang Sect fell to ruin with only two members remaining due to the emergence of spirit tools however it was revived due to the efforts of that generation's Shrek Seven Devils and most importantly a certain man who later ascended to godhood after stopping the war brought by the Sun Moon Empire, eradicating the Holy Spirit Church and defeating the legendary Beast God Di Tian.

In these ten thousand years, the world has changed entirely with constant technical advances but one thing has not changed and has in fact become close to impossible. Becoming a God.

Every spirit master in the world wishes to ascend to godhood but nobody has succeeded due to the god realm vanishing. However, even then it is still the goal of every person in the world, after all, who doesn't want to be a god?

Snapping the book in his hand shut was a crimson haired young boy with a handsome face lacking any and all emotions. Placing the book on a bedside table the crimson haired boy looked at it for a moment, his face unreadable as dozens of thoughts ran through his mind.

The boy was Tang Wulin, the son of the Sea God Tang San and the Rabbit Goddess Xiao Wu, and the possessor of the Golden Dragon King. If his identity was revealed the entire world would praise him, bowing to every rock he walked upon.

However, there was one problem. Tang Wulin could not feel emotion, he was more robot than human and that created a myriad of issues in his day to day life. He didn't quite understand emotions and therefore he struggled to understand why others would try so hard.

More than once has he questioned why his parents take care of him as he does very little in return for them. In his mind, it was a poor decision that he couldn't comprehend. There was no logical reason for them to do so.

Yet, at the same time, this oddity of his allowed him something that reasonably should not be possible. The Golden Dragon King was a being of chaos, madness, and destruction, for any normal child he would contaminate their mind in a mere instant. However, because of his oddity, he had more… freedom if you will.

"Why did you attack the Spirit Hall?" Tang Wulin asked the sky, directing his words to his father despite knowing that they would never be heard. He couldn't comprehend the answer.

In his brother in law's time it was different, he stopped the war because it interfered with his life and those he stood with but what reason did his father have? Some of those reasons apply to his father but he struggled to understand nonetheless.

However, that didn't matter at the moment. He wouldn't receive an answer by sitting around and he surely would not hear his father's words from wherever he was. He doesn't know exactly what happened but they had been pulled somewhere before he left.

Rising to his feet he left his room which seemed more like a small library than a child's room and descended the stairs. He needed to eat a healthy breakfast if he wanted to have full energy for the rest of the day.

Today was the day he would 'awaken' his martial soul. It wasn't particularly important to him as he had already done so, however, it was a requirement and he was not one to defy social norms without reason.

There was a reason why this event existed and why it was so important. Even he wouldn't have awakened his martial soul if it weren't for the energy of the Golden Dragon King coursing through his veins forcefully awakening it for him.

In essence, it was the same as the ceremony he was just about to go to. To awaken a person's dormant martial soul and inner energies another person's energy is injected into their body to rouse the person's own.

Of course, it's usually done by people with weak, meek, or calm soul power to reduce possible damage and not pure destruction energy, however, it turned out fine so there was no reason to complain.

From what Tang Wulin had managed to gather, his bloodline was almost entirely that of the Golden Dragon King rather than that of the Sea and Asura Gods. It seems that before the seals could truly form, the Golden Dragon's energy destroyed the incomplete seals and the bloodline that formed them.

"Oh, good morning Wulin!" The adoptive mother of the Son of the Sea God Lang Yue said happily, a wide smile on her aged face. Despite her son's odd nature, she loved him with all her heart times ten.

"Good morning." Tang Wulin replied simply, walking closer to her in order to move the breakfast to the table faster so that he could eat faster. It also helped foster emotions between parent and child, or so he's heard.

"Ohh what a helpful son I have!" Lang Yue squealed happily, ignoring the side eye she received from her son as a result. Most children don't help their parents with things like this!

Ignoring his mother's shouts of happiness he began taking the food to the table. He had the entire day planned out and so he must follow his schedule no matter the interruptions even if those interruptions may be from his mother.

"Oh? Helping out again Tang Tang? What a good kid you are!" Tang Wulin's adoptive father Tang Ziran said with a smile, a newspaper in hand and a cup of coffee at his side. It wasn't long ago when Tang Wulin couldn't even control his strength for something so simple. Blacksmithing was the right decision.

"Mhm." Tang Wulin hummed softly in response, shoveling the food down his mouth. It wasn't enough so roughly an hour of his schedule was planned for eating various high nutrient rich food around the town to strengthen his body.

Not only that but it helped save his parents' own money which in turn continued to allow him to have a roof over his head. It reduced his own funds but in the end, it was worthwhile in multiple ways.

"Are you excited about the ceremony?" Tang Ziran asked, clearly watching for any signs of his son's reaction with his wife doing the same.
