Mia truly didn't anticipate that Lydia should sympathetically lead her to Nikki's room without making a quarrel. She figured Lydia would overlook her and act like the others do particularly Hazel.

They had used the stairwell since Nikki's room is higher up while Lucas and Hazel's room is first floor.
