The Four Dongolus

"Those markings and those flames... what was that?" Asks Baddinton.

"When I put my hand to the rock I could feel it reaching out to me. Like it was showing me what I could do." Says Laddinton

"You mean it was forcing out a hidden ability?" Asks Baddinton.

"No... not hidden. Forgotten." Says Laddinton as he ignites his hand again staring at the fire.

"I wonder if the rest of us have something like this too." Says Laddinton putting the fire out.

- 1 Week Later -

Laddinton and Baddinton had been training in the courtyard for their adventure while they waited for the others to arrive. the other Dongolus, Maddinton and Saddinton come from different countries too but being the only 4 Dongolus alive after their race mysteriously disappeared they kept contact and meet every year.

Laddinton had advanced his new found power to basic flame control being able to ignite from the stripes left by the initial incident. While Baddinton hasn't had any awakening his skill with a blade and speed make him scarier than any magic user could be.

"I still don't understand the coin... do you think there's more out there?." Asks Laddinton.

"More of what?" Says a voice from above.

They both look up to see a man levitating above them.

"Took you long enough." Says Baddinton looking up at him.

"Looks like I beat Saddinton though." Says Maddinton.

"Not quite." Says another voice.

They all look over to see a giant standing above everything around him.

"If that's everybody lets get to the reason you're here. Come inside." Says Baddinton as he makes his way into the building.

They sit at the same table as before and Laddinton places the coin on it.

"A few months ago I went exploring past Dongolia where the maps all stop. There's a whole different world out there... a new continent, abandoned civilizations, magic I haven't seen before! about a month in we ended up finding a deep staircase that led to a room still lit like someone had been there but there was no life from what I could tell. At the end of the room was a giant rock formation with a paw print in the centre and only I could interact with it... no. only us. When Laddinton placed his hand on it it lit up and exploded but it's what happened after that amazed me." Says Baddinton.

"It called out to me, showed me memories I never lived, told me to find the rest... but then it did this." Says Laddinton as he stands up and removes his top.

"What are those markings?" Asks Maddinton.

"This is what it gave to me. It was like something I was missing but never realised." Says Laddinton.

Saddinton leans forwards.

"What if this has something to do with the others disappearing? You said there was more but where?" Asks Saddinton.

"That's the thing... it didn't last long enough for me to find out." Says Laddinton.

"But we know it comes from beyond Dongolia." Says Baddinton.

"A seal that specific all the way out there..." Says Saddinton.

"So it's just a rock that gives you powers there must be a million out there." Says Maddinton.

"It only showed me what I already had. Like it was hidden from me." Says Laddinton.

"If there are more out there I'm going to find them." Says Baddinton.

"Then I'll come too." Says Saddinton.

"I guess I have no choice. If there's one for me out there I can't miss it." Says Maddinton.

Baddinton grins.

"Good. Because we leave tonight on Steve Tuffman's ship." Says Baddinton
