The next day, VIXEN'S DORM.
"Come on!" Nari muttered, raising her duvet higher to cover her face as Yumi's alarm blasted loudly.
She faced the wall and moved away from the direction of Yumi's bed but her attempts felt futile as a few minutes later their room door was pushed open by their manager Yoo Kang.
"Alright, get up!" Manager Yoo said as she walked into the room. She slapped Yumi's butt and moved to Nari's bed. Nari who heard the slap and Yumi's exclamation turned away and shifted closer to the wall.
She had fully expected Manager Yoo to use the same tactic with her but that was not the case. She shivered as an onslaught of cool breeze ran through her body as Manager Yoo pulled up her duvet.
"Get up, while I am still being nice, Nari!" Manager Yoo brought up the plastic spray bottle filled with cold water and placed it beside Nari's arm.
"Ha!" Nari shifted away from the cold bottle, she looked a few times to get her eyes adjusted before glaring at her manager who just raised the spray bottle and gave her a wide smile.
"GET UP or you will get a refreshing dose of cold water", she Brought the spray bottle closet with her fingers resting on the Clips.
Nari quickly jumped to the end of the bed immediately and waved her hand, "please don't, no need to resort to that! I am up!"
Manager Yoo pulled the spray away from Nari, "Good, we are leaving in 30 minutes girls", she stopped at the door and looked over her shoulder.
she glanced at Yumi, "start getting ready", Fixing her gaze on Nari,
"ware comfortable clothes, You will be joining Hak Yeon at ECHO'S dance studio after the pre-recording. The choreographer for the title track of their album came up with a choreography. You need to start practising together, filming of the music video will start in three weeks".
Nari comped her hand through her hair as she nodded, "okay".
Manager Yoo looked down at her leather wristwatch, "there is no time to waste, let's get moving people!" she shouted walking through the hall.
Loud bangs were heard as she hit Bitna and Mira's room door. Unlike Yumi and Nari who left their door open, Bitna locked her room door right before she slept. Three loud bangs later, a grumpy shout was heard as Bitna threw a stuffed Rabbit at the door.
"Get Up Bitna!" Manager Yoo moved to the next room.
The door opened as she was about to knock, Sun-Hi leaned by the door in a bug hoodie and small loose shots, "don't bang on the door, Unnie. We are up, who can sleep through all this ruckus", she muttered.
Manager Yoo brought down her hand, "wash up and get dressed! We leave in thirty minutes", she turned around and went into the kitchen.
Sun-Hi stepped back into the room and shut the door. She stepped out a few minutes later holding her basket of toiletries and her towel wrapped around her neck as she went into the bathroom.
Over at Nari and Yumi's room, seconds after their manager left. Nari sighed and leaned her head on the wall, eyes closed.
Yumi chuckled on seeing that, which made Nari open her eyes and bring down her head. "What's so funny Yumi?
Yumi pulled up her duvet and stood before turning around to face her, "You had better start getting ready, Unnie is the working time police. She will hustle us out as soon as the thirty minutes is done".
Nari sat forward, "Really?" she fell on her side, "Why! This is just a pre-recording, why so strict?"
Yumi opened her closer and took out a long cream-coloured silk floral gown, platform boots and a black leather cropped jacket.
"Strict? this is not close to her being strict, she is being easy on us because this is just a Pre-recording session. You should see her when it is a major scheduled event, she will micro-manage the life out of you".
Su Liya glanced up at her without sitting up, "geez", she sat up and blew up the strand of hair on her eye.
"I better get started", her eyes fell on the set of clothes on Yumi's bed, "isn't that a little much, that looks too pretty for a pre-recording. You should wear that on a date or something".
Yumi's eyes widened slightly, "a date" she whispered and moved closer to Nari, "are you dating someone?"
When Nari remained silent for a few seconds she pulled back a little, "don't take this the wrong way, I am not against that. it is just that we are just debuting, you should be careful. Don't get caught, netizens can be brutal. Getting into a dating scandal as a rookie will cripple your career".
Nari stared at her silently for some seconds before bursting into laughter, "Okay, I think you are getting way ahead of yourself, Yumi. I am not dating anyone, there is no need to worry. Is that even possible with my previous training schedule at GK".
Yumi nodded and took out her skin care products, she sat in front of her dressing mirror and began to apply them. "Never say never, even with her packed schedule, Chung-ae has managed to keep a strong relationship with MJ for the past five years".
Nari stooped slipping through her clothes for a split second and quickly glanced at her and asked, "Did you say 5 years?"
"Yes", Yumi replied carefully placing her eye masks.
"She has been dating Clockout's main rapper MJ for five years? How did she? Wow she is on another level. Aren't Hours the greatest K-pop detectives among all the fandoms? How did they manage to fly under the raider?" Nari shook her head as she selected loose black joggers and a yellow long-sleeved blouse and threw it on her bed.
"Well, Chung-ae and MJ have always been low-key. Since both of their mothers are friends, a lot of people just assume that they are just close friends".
"Hiding in plain sight, smart" Nari took out a black sneaker a placed it by her bed. "I am surprised they managed to maintain a relationship for so long".
"Chung-ae may not look like it but she is very mature for her age, plus it also helps that they have known each other since they were kids. They look so good to_"
she stood as she heard the loud noise of a door hitting the wall with force. She and Nari exchanged worried expressions before quickly running out of their room.
