Inheritance

Tangning walked through the doorway. She couldnt see at first and were about to make a small flame come out when the hall was suddenly illuminated. One by one the torches on the wall lit. there were rooms on both sides of the hall. They had jewels and gold in every room. At the end of the hall was a broken down door. There were bodies in the rooms with gold and jewels but for some reason there were none in front of the battered door. Tangning felt drawn to the door. She started to walk towards the door but was stopped by Xiaolong. HE gave her a look as if to say "You need to be careful who knows if this room is rigged as well" Tangning snapped out of her trance and focused on the flooring and the pattern of the bodies but as far as she could tell the only pattern was that they all died in the rooms with gold and jewels. "I dont want the gold or jewels so I think as long as we dont touch them it should be alright." Tangning planned to earn her own money. She walked to the door and tried to open it. It wouldnt even budge. All of a sudden, She heard a clinking sound and Tangning jumped out of the way in just the nick of time. An arm was around her waist and blocked an arrow. The arm was grazed with the arrow that would have otherwise impaled Tangning. the man hissed in a breath. Tangning saw that the wound wasnt healing. She pulled out a basic healing pill and fed it to her savior but the wound wasnt closing or getting better. she gave him two more and still no change. She then tried her dark blue Yuhe pill. but still no change. The man looked at Tangning and he collapsed on the floor. She quickly sat him up and tried to find out what was wrong. No matter how hard she tried she couldn't figure it out. She knew that the Guding pill would probably heal him but if she didnt plant it in her space then there would only be as many pills as she could make in the furnace. She stood up and knocked and knocked on the door. She had tears on her face. " Please...please dont let him die" Theyd only known each other for little over a year now but she felt a connection to him that she couldnt describe. Her little Xiaolong was a man! She slumped down and was about to give up when the door creaked open. Tangning shot to her feet and walked through after making sure Xiaolong was safe. When she walked through she was surrounded but a dense purple fog.

She looked around and saw nothing. "So, do you wish to save your friend?" A female voice sounded from...everywhere? "I do." Tangning could tell from the power emitting from the voice that this lady was powerful enough to save them. " Please, please help him. Well leave as soon as hes better. We wont take anything." At this point she didnt even care about the moon pearl she just wanted Xiaolong to be alive. She felt a wave of power and was knocked unconcious. She opened her eyes to see a woman. She felt a strange since of deja vu. Liked she'd seen this woman before. "So, your my reincarnation." The woman looked satisfied. "What? reincarnation...Are you...Are you saying that you are me...rather that I am you?" Tangning looked at the woman like she was crazy but then again she had been transmigrated. She looked at the woman "Can you really save him?" She didnt care about anything except Xiaolong. Even she was taken aback at how much she cared. "I cannot" The woman said matter of factly. "Then why the hell would you put me through all of this? Let me go so I can save him...I cant let him die..." He saved me...Tangning slumped down and started to cry. Why...why has this one man made her shed more tears in the past day than in her past life. I never said it was impossible. Just that I was unable to do it." She knew exactly who the man was to Tangning. She just couldnt tell her. Tangning looked up. she was confused. The woman had just said she couldnt heal him so what was she talking about? Tangning didnt get much time to think " Do you want to save him. if you do you'll have to accept my inheritance. I dont have much energy left. This is just a fragment of my soul but since I have been reincarnated this soul fragment needs to merge with yours. Do you accept?" If Tangning didnt accept then her soul fragment would disappear along with the knowledge and power she stored with the fragment. "I-I accept. If it saves Xiaolong I'm willing to do anything." Tangning closed her eyes and the woman pointed at the spot between her brows. Tangning felt dizzy and a rush of words and images went through her head. She felt a rush of power that wasnt quite hers but at the same time was. She felt the exact moment when her soul became whole.

She opened her eyes to see her, xiaolong and the moon pearl safe and sound outside the temple. "What? What happened to you two! It's been six months! I was about to go down and get the police.. If it wasnt for the fact that something was stopping me I would have." Tangning completely ignored Xiao Bai and focused on Xiaolong. She took out her worn out furnace and was about to use it when a little voice told her to look at her finger. She looked down and saw a space ring. She pored her conciousness into the ring and saw a beautiful pill stove. She didnt waste any time and took the stove out. She put the herbs in this time there were over 20 including the moon pearl. She used her soul flame this time and even added more into the furnace itself. She worked and didnt sleep for four days. She was sweating and hungry but she didnt lose concentration.
