Domain Expansion: Adventure in DC

D.E.A.D. (Domain Expansion: Adventure in DC) Before you read anything: #1. This story gives a strong impression that it is a simulation, right from the start. Don't read if you're not a patient person. #2. Story is strongly plot-oriented and includes a lot of deep narrations. Again, don't read if you're looking for something simple. #3. Read if you're looking for something exciting, a lot of action and chaos, and, if you're patient enough to watch the story unfold (unlike The Cursed World). #4. Author may not give a F* (Synopsis) My name is Wan Juan. I was just a normal guy striving to climb the ladder of life when I walked into him. Little did I know of his nature: A Cursed Celestial. In his D.E.A.D world, my story began in the lovely island of Themyscira that instantly transformed into a battle ground. Slowly, I grasped my nature of being capable to use Cursed Energy and Cursed Techniques as I navigated the treacherous circumstance I had found myself in. Fate bind my story as a prophecy unfolded. Pacts were forged as the situation escalated, and I chose to exorcise the Amazons. But it was only until I met the Justice League that I grasped my true nature and the weight on my shoulders, as, The Cursed Millennial. The salvation and fate of all existence rested on my ability to hone my jujutsu and face threats beyond mortal understanding. C/N: The first chapter involves a rapid shit in POV like in the synopsis above. From I to He. Nothing wrong with it. Get used to it. Disclaimer: I own nothing in the realm of DC or JJK. Just my ideas.

Chapter 26. The Fight Continues...

[Fav Domain Expansion: Images & GIFs]

Momentarily lost in her imagination, the Oracle suffered a powerful strike from Mahoraga that sent her streaking through the rugged terrain. Thereby, she learnt the timeless lesson that Mahoraga is untamable, let alone possible to manipulate like a Curse.

Suspended in the air, emotions coursed through her pale body, dominated by an eternity of anger rage and total madness as she saw darkness flash through her mind. A signal that the next puch she would take would lead her to an instant death, and so was the Curse in her.

Survival instincts kicked in her and she pulled the threads that connected the Amazons sprawled around the shattered island. Like a spider that had laid out it's web perfectly, she claimed all the entities within them and gathered them to manifest the true form of the Curse, before Mahoraga laid its final blow.

Mahoraga sped as if literally gliding in the air as it gained on the flying Oracle. But her trick worked faster than its efforts and she gained absolute strength, overpowering Mahoraga.

Her mouth took shape first, grotesquely widening, allowing her to let out a powerful scream that slowed Mahoraga and pushed it back to fall into a large crevice.

The scream echoed throughout the entire island, unsettling the covert team operating to discover the anomaly, and, momentarily shaking off the jingle of coins that kept on ringing in my head as I climbed from my grave.

Mahoraga's wheel rotated, marking its adaptation to the first of her attacks as she herself landed gracefully not far from where it had fallen. Her final form rampantly took shape, and she developed.

Mahoraga shot up, back to the level ground, only to meet the most appalling sight it had ever seen. Immediately, it recognized that it would win in a beauty contest, with a landslide, if the Oracle was it's opponent.

Not acquainted with laughing or showing amusement, Mahoraga just glared at her and showed it's teeth slightly (probably it's way of smiling in triumph).

The Oracle's hair had fully transformed to pale while, as the rest of her remaining human body. They were now shaped like tentacles that acted autonomously, moving about her head.

Her eyes had widened and had fins for eyebrows, and her ears pointed like those of a giant, dark elf. The rest of her body was unevenly shaped, probably resulting from many of the souls having been already exorcised.

Her left hand was enormous, monstrous, and muscular while her right was the complete opposite. Respectively, so were her clawed right leg and wobbly left leg.

Her Oracle clothes and ornaments had been torn apart, leaving her to be shamelessly naked after the transformation. But even with the much change, one could easily tell who she was, before, and deduce that her new appearance was probably a physical manifestation of the person within.

Once she saw Mahoraga bounce back, she screamed again, stronger and more powerful than she had done before. The landscape moved, trees and the earth, but Mahoraga stood still, as if enjoying the brisk of the gently blowing wind. It had already adapted to that attack.

The Oracle stopped, her wide mouth painting a... smile? She didn't feel festered, and took pride in knowing that she remained superior over any of its attacks. She could only be put down if one could beat the resilience of the souls surrounding her, and discovering the source of the immense cursed energy she possessed.

With that much in mind, she morphed and focused a varied array of attacks against Mahoraga, occasionally breaking them into independent Curses.

A fast paced action scene unfolded as silence set in. Only to be broken by the clash of punches that arose as Mahoraga battled ferociously.

It's adaptation to reached a whole other level as it overpowered the unending arsenal of the Oracle's mischief.

Who knew she could willful rig souls to explode like grenades? What of all those projectiles she came up with? Oddly shaped, effective, evasive, and, illusive.

Ever seen a train come out of nowhere? Mahoraga had a tough time clawing his way out of the infinitely regenerating barrier that kept on trying to confine him.

A gigantic serpent managed to swallow Mahoraga whole but he tore through its belly before it managed to crash him. Makeshift birds forged from souls and actual impromptu Curses played their part, but they never really did much to the General.

Further attempts at trying to hush Mahoraga went on as the Oracle pushed her imagination to the limits, but she could only get so far. Formidable as it was, Mahoraga remained unbeatable until it pushed her to the breaking point.

---

My right hand came out first as I finally found my way back to the land of the leaving.

Uuuuuuuhhhfff...

I breathed in the fine air of the surface as my head came out. "That didn't play out as I had planned."

Of course, I hadn't planned out anything. In fact, I had just played ball with the first idea that popped in mind and ended up plummeting myself close to the Earth's core.

I had been stuck down there for a while, but I had found the motivation to use my energy to lift myself to the ground. That is, running out of air and the constant ringing in my head that seemed to disappeared now that I was out.

Was it all in my head or had my ear drums finally given in and bursted?

"Freeze." An authoritative, masculine voice commanded. "Stay where you are and put your hands above your head."

My vision cleared a bit and I saw a bunch of overdressed guys looking down on me with guns pointed to my direction. At least, my ears were okay. The problem was my eyes. Everything was just so blurry.

"Let me get out first... Whoever you are." I said, pulling myself up. I was already used to constant confrontation, and I was already playing out how this was going to go.

"I said to stay where you are!" The same voice from before shouted at me.

"Darn!" I complained putting my hands over my head. "Don't shout at me. I'm having the worst headache ever."

"Cuff him." He commanded, mistaking my surrender.

"Oh." I chuckled. "Bad idea."

---

(Several seconds later)

Sprawling on the ground were a couple of government mercenaries groaning as I walked around them, casually, enjoying how nice it felt walking around again.

"I've spent my fair share of time in confined places. Not planning on doing that again." I said, approaching their leader who was struggling to grab his pistol.

Stepping on and crashing his hand, I asked, "you were right not to choose diplomacy. It's nothing more than a word and a failed ideology. Did you happen to see a group of angry looking women when you boarded this cursed island?"

He groaned from the pain and just eyed me with a mixture of pain and anger on his expression.

"My guess is... You didn't. Because you're all alive." I deduced. "Maybe my plan did actually work after all."

"Did Mahoraga get exorcised too?" I wondered out loud, but a hefty clash from a distance that I hadn't tuned to answered me.

"Gotta run." I said relieving him from the immense pain in his hand and running to the direction of the battle.

"I don't know what brings you guys here, but if I were you, I'd leave immediately." I shouted the advice as I hopped through the unstable disk plates.

"What happened to the island?" I wondered to myself as I looked around the physically devastated terrain. "It won't take long before it collapses into the ocean."

"There they are." I observed, coming to the view of Mahoraga and the Oracle fighting. "Must be what destroyed Themyscira."

"Now. Time to finish this, and become a free man." I stretched my body, just as the Oracle got to her breaking point and snapped!

"Enough!" She shouted for everything to hear, speaking for the very first time ever since she got cursed. Thereby, becoming the first Cursed Amazon to speak.

She managed to push Mahoraga back and put her body back together, alerting me to a jingling sound originating from her.

"What is that noise?" I asked myself, having been annoyed by the constant clanking of coins.

"There is no point in having all these souls if it means that I'll be stuck in this eternal fight." The Oracle said as her fingers reformed and allowed her an intricate motion and pose.

Multiple appendages originated from her head, making her even more uglier than she looked.

"Domain Expansion..." She started with a calm, deep and gravy voice.
