The next day, Carlin gets into her car and while driving, she picks up her phone and calls someone.

"Is she at work?"

"No ma'am. I don't think she will anytime soon, maybe even forever. I heard from people that she caught fire yesterday at her own party." Says the speaker on the phone.

Carlin smiles in victory and accelerates her car. She gets to work in less than the hour it always takes her because she is speeding on this particular day.

*Carlin*

Hm.

Now I feel so relaxed. I'll be getting my job back, my Dad will be getting his back too and my uncle's will finally see how useful we are.

Maybe I should send some flowers to Akeelah in the hospital or something? And I should include daisies in it since she is allergic to them?

She won't figure it's mine anyway because I'll send it anonymously.

Hahahaha.

I laugh to myself in the car, knowing that I have a good day ahead of me.

I reach the front of the company and park my car in the VIP spot as always. It's only my car there.

I get out of the car and lock the doors. I look up to the towering building and sigh. I've only been gone for a little over two weeks now but I have missed this place so much.

"I won't leave you again baby."

I mutter those words silently to myself and walk to the entrance of the company building and I see some security men coming over to me.

Guess they haven't forgotten who the boss really is after all.

So cute.

I smile at them but there's something off in the air. The security men get to me and instead of taking my bags for me, they reach out and grab my hands. Each of them on one side and drags me from behind, towards the door.

What is with this strange turn of events?

"STOP."

Finally, someone to save me from this terrible mistake and ruthless men who have forgotten who their boss. I'll make sure to fire them as soon as I'm back in office.

Finally to thank my saviour, I turn around and my eyes go wide.

WHY IS SHE HERE?!

Akeelah stands by the railings, standing elegantly with one leg crossed over the other and smiling at me.

A smile from a She devil.
