Eating Contest

<Earth, 1675>

<Wednesday, 9:00>

Inside the Inn. The place was full of people now, the crowd surrounds a table in the center of the Inn, and in the table sits 2 person. The crowd were talking and cheering for the 2 players who is now sitting in front of each other. In front of them is full of meat, fruits and other cuisine of the Inn. The 2 competitors is Dion and Jing.

Last Chapter Dion challenged Jing in a duel, everyone except Dion immediately think of swords and shield right, but after he said another word, everyone was mind blown. He said as punishment to the two adults (Long and George) for laughing at him, they must be the one who pays all their food needed for the contest. George sighs as he knows that this is more like heaven than Isabelle's punishment and so he agreed while Long was,"Umm no thank you" but Jing interrupted and said"I'm gonna tell mom you're not feeding me" and after that Long agreed immediately. Looks like having tiger mom is a tradition.

After George and Long look at each other with a knowing look, they paid for the amount of food for the contest. What makes this more fun is Dion and Jing are both gourmet.

"Now the rules!" said by Dion who is looking at the food like a hungry wolf. While Jing was struggling to stop his/her hand.

"2 Miss Beautiful here will count our food we have eaten and whoever eats the most wins sound simple right" said Dion while representing the 2 Inn waitress.

"So are you ready" said 1 of the waitress.

They both nodded and ..."Go!"... both take off. Dion was serious since he was humiliated and want to take back his honor, while Jing was taking his/her time and eating it with a delightful expression. Dion ate the small one first and get's bigger as more he eats. Jing was eating the sweet flavored ones.

'So Jing has a sweet tooth', Dion used that as his advantage and ate all the sweet ones, Jing notice it too and started adding more speed to eat. Both were like 2 voids whenever a piece of food goes inside them it will directly vanish, the crowd quieted down and look at the 2 kids with a weirded expression.

....'Are they even chewing!'.....

Finally the battle was about to be done when they see the final piece they hesitated because the last was a Broccoli, Dion started to grab it and Jing follows him the 2 grab half each and both look at each other.

"Ehem you first" said Dion.

"What why am I first?" said Jing.

"Um....ladies first" said Dion.

"that...well should a man be brave?" said Jing.

"okay well on three?" said Dion and Jing agreed since Dion will be the winner if he go first.

They both want to win but also want the other to suffer so they both agreed on eating it at the same time.

The two quickly putted it at their mouths and instead of chewing they swallowed it, the 2 both look at the referee to see who the winner was.

"Umm you both swallowed it at the same time so it's a draw" said 1 of the referees.

The 2 still didn't lose their competitive spirit and shouted at each other for another duel, but both were stop by their fathers and was carried outside the Inn.

After all the shenanigans they are now back to the stable where they parked their carriage, As it's still George's work day, he still have to go to the fortress and guard it. While Long and Jing will walk around the town. And for the Duo they glared at each other as the other one leaves.

Dion also still has a schedule, the routine Isabelle made for him is following George around and maybe to try and start training those swords, as it is in there blood Dion was also fascinated by swords just like his father but for him it's different it's not fascination it's more like the sword was calling for him to wield it.

The Fortress is located on top of the mountain, the mountain is the mountain where the town was near at and at the side of the mountain there is a pathway for carriages and humans to walk safely on the fortress. Unlike a castle the fortress was full of giant walls, the castle is made to protect an important person inside but the fortress's purpose is to watch borders and protect them from intruders.

This fortress's purpose is to see if intruders are invading or crossing the region, and this is why the fortress was made on top of the mountain. But this fortress purpose is just a watchtower while you can see from the bottom of the mountain there's another fortress, they are the ones who guards the road of the western continent and also checks on people crossing the region.

"Dad are we there yet?" said Dion who is looking bored over the edge of the carriage.

"No son" said George.

"Dad for today the watchtower fortress is the only place we will guard right?" said Dion.

"Yes son" said George.

The carriage traveled peacefully. No bears or boars, just an empty road. Their travel was continues, no interruptions, no bandits or logs in the way, just the sound of the horses feet, the wheels ticking and their voices when talking.

....

"Finally" said Dion as he jumps out of the carriage.

Just like any mountain, it was full of trees, the mountain was shaped just a cone but is leaning little to a flat surface. The fortress is builded at the side of the mountain and the other fortress is on the road at the bottom of us.

"Come'n let's go" said George.

"Coming!" said Dion.
