Thirty Nine : Did Anyone Know About Us?

Kim Sora POV,

December 24, 2019,

"I have to go, Jagi. I'll call you tomorrow. Saranghae", said Namjoon ending the call

"Ye. Saranghae", I replied

I turned off my cell phone screen, and smiled.

"Oenni, you look so happy. Is that a call from your boyfriend?", Aeri asked smiling at me

"Uh? Ye", I blushed

"I've never seen your boyfriend, Oenni. Has he ever come here?", Aeri asked curiously

"He's very busy Aeri, it's very difficult to meet him", I replied nervously

"Jinjja? What is he like, Oenni?", Aeri asked again

"Mmm ... he's a nice guy, smart, hardworking man. Even though he's actually a little clumsy haha...but he's a very nice and very caring guy. Sometimes I think, how lucky I am to date him", I replied with a smile on my face

"Whoaa, he is like the ideal perfect man, Oenni. Maybe if I knew him I would like him too", said Aeri teasing me

I just laughed at her words. Namjoon is indeed one of the men that many women out there dream of. When I'm alone, sometimes I think, do I really deserve to be with him ?. If one day our relationship becomes public, will I be strong and able to survive?. I shook my head driving away these thoughts.

"Did your siblings come to Seoul, Aeri~aah?", I asked Aeri who was busy typing reports on the computer.

"Ye, they will arrive tonight. Therefore, I really want to finish this report as soon as possible so that I can pick them up at the train station", she replied cheerfully

"They will arrive tonight? You can go home earlier if you want. It seems there is not much we can do tonight", I replied looking at her

"Jinjja? Thank you, Oenni ", said Aeri happily, hugging my arm

"Enjoy your day off with your family", I replied patting her hand

"Ye!", she replied cheerfully as she continued typing the report

I went to the bookshelves on the left and started checking books. It was 7pm now, Minerva had just closed early. Because from tomorrow Minerva will be closed until early next year. This is different from the previous plan, which was only off at Christmas and the day before New Year's Eve.

I decided on this because I was going to spend the end of year visiting my parents in Gwangju. And I want my employees to have a long holiday to spend with their families too.

Currently Aeri is completing her year-end report. Hansol, Minhyuk and Eunsoo were tidying up the kitchen and coffee shop. Meanwhile, Sossa and Yunsu were doing inventory checking on books in the children's section on the second floor. Meanwhile, Ara and I did inventory checking on the books on the first floor. I hope we can finish this work before 9pm so that they can all leave early.

I took my cell phone from my pants pocket. I saw an incoming message from Sunmi.

"Sora~aah, are you still in Minerva? I'll stop briefly before heading to the airport. Have you had dinner? I'll bring something for you. Wait for me, okay?".

Tonight Sunmi is about to leave for Bali-Indonesia, to spend the Christmas and New Year holidays with her family.

"Ye. We're still tidying up Minerva. You don't need to bother, Sunmi. Don't you miss the flight because of me", I replied

I am very happy that Sunmi is able to spend her vacation with her family. Her parents are very busy with their work, so they rarely spend time together.

Half an hour later, Sunmi's voice came from the entrance.

"Annyeong!", Her voice sounded cheerful and excited

"Annyeong Oenni!", Aeri said excitedly

"Wow, you guys are still working! Have you guys eaten? I brought pizza. Let's eat together. Where's Kim Sora ssi?", Asked Sunmi in a loud voice

"I'm here. Whoah that's a lot of pizzas!", I said surprised to see a pile of cardboard pizza in her hand

"Ye. I want to treat you before this year ends", said Sunmi walking towards the table in the reading erea and putting down the boxes

"Daebak ya!", I said when I arrived in front of her

"You don't have to do this, Sunmi~ aah", I told her

"Ani, this is nothing. I feel guilty for not being able to spend this holiday with you, Sora. So I think we can eat together before I leave", said Sunmi, smiling happily

"Gomawo", I replied hugging her

"Aeri ssi please call the others. We will eat together", I said to Aeri

"Ye, Oenni", she replied, then she headed for the coffee shop and second floor to call the others

We put a few tables and chairs together so we can eat together. Eunsoo and Minhyuk took out a few drinks from the kitchen. We enjoyed the dinner happily.

Sunmi and I already know each other's employees, so it is not awkward for us to mingle with each other. This dinner was filled with chatter and laughter, until we didn't realize we had finished all 6 large pizza boxes. Then Sunmi said goodbye to go straight to the airport.

We returned to continue our works until 9.30pm. Aeri said goodbye first, followed by Ara, and Yunsu who came home later. Right now it's only me, Sossa, Minhyuk, Eunsoo and Hansol who are still in Minerva. The second floor has been checked and cleaned. Sossa and I are still doing inventory checking on the last shelf containing Hobby's books. Meanwhile, Eunsoo, Minhyuk and Hansol were taking notes on the remaining stock of food and drinks.

SCRASH!!!

Suddenly there was a sound of broken glass. Me and Sossa looked at each other in shock.

"What is that ?!", came Hansol's voice from the coffee shop

"Did you hear thay? It's like the sound of broken glass", said Eunsoo running towards the entrance

We looked at each other in bewilderment as we searched for where the voice had come from. I didn't see anyone in the parking lot below. Only my car and Sossa's car were still parked there.

"Are you sure that voice came from Minerva?", I asked, frowning

"Yes Oenni, it sounded very clear earlier", said Sossa looking at me

"I'll check the ground floor", said Minhyuk walking quickly to the ground floor

"I'll check the second floor", said Eunsoo who immediately ran to the stairs

Hansol checks the entrance on the first floor. Sossa and I turned on some lights and checked the windows around the first floor. Most of Minerva's buildings are made of glass, so we had to check the entire building to see where the noise was coming from.

Somehow I feel bad. My heart was beating fast, like I knew that something wrong had happened.

"Noona, Noona, your office window is broken. Come here quickly Noona", shouted Minhyuk panting from the stairs

"Jinjja?", I said in disbelief

Me and Sossa walked quickly following Minhyuk to my office. When I entered my office, I saw pieces of glass scattered all over the room.

"Look at that Nonna", said Minhyuk, pointing to a large brick wrapped in white paper

"Gosh, what has happened? ", I said, shocked to see the condition of my room

"Oh my God!", Sossa screamed behind me

"I will call Hansol oppa and Eunsoo noona", she said as she ran to the first floor

I entered my office carefully so as not to get hurt. I approached Minhyuk who was picking up bricks from the floor.

"Damn! Who did this ?!", Minhyuk cursed irritably while examining the stone

I felt my body tremble in shock by this incident. I tried to take a deep breath to be calmer.

"This is a message, Oenni!", Said Minhyuk, opening the paper that was wrapped around the stone. We opened it and read the message together. I shrieked and closed my mouth.

"What is this?", Said Minhyuk startled

YOU DON'T DESERVE HIM, BITCH!!

I WILL MAKE YOU LOSE EVERYTHING AND DIE LIKE THAT POOR RABBIT!!

The words on the paper were brownish red, like blood. I felt dizzy and my vision was blurry. I held on to the bookshelf so as not to fall.

"Noona! Noona!", Shouted Minhyuk trying to support my weak body

"What's wrong ?," Hansol, Sossa and Eunsoo came over to us

"Oh my God! Noona!", Said Eunsoo surprised when she looked into my room

"Help me!", said Minhyuk trying to carry me out of the room

Sossa swiftly supported me and led me to the next room. They sat me in a chair and brought me a glass of water. My body was shaking violently.

Why is it happening again? Why did something like this happen again ??

"Oenni, gwaenchana?", Asked Eunsoo to approach me

"She must be in shock, I found this tied to the stone hyung", said Minhyuk while handing the paper to Hansol

"Gosh! This is a threat!! I think we should report this to the police", said Hansol with a serious face

"Ye. I'll contact the police," said Sossa, running out of the employee room

"I'll check the CCTV", said Minhyuk going after Sossa

"Sora ssi, did you know who do this?", Asked Hansol, kneeling in front of me so that our faces were on level

"I don't know, oppa", I replied weakly

"Eunsoo~aah please accompany Sora here. I'll check her office", said Hansol then walked to my room

I leaned my head against the back of the chair. My head hurts alot. I closed my eyes and thought what those words meant.

I don't deserve him? Who? is it Namjoon? But how did he/she know? Nobody knows about my relationship! Or is there someone who knew about it? But who?

Many questions were running in my head, until I felt overwhelmed and nauseous. I covered my face and I felt my body trembling again.

"Oenni .. calm down .. let's breathe Oenni, slowly yes ... good ... like that ... slowly ... calm down", Eunsoo helped me

"I've called the police. What happened?", Suddenly Sossa came out breathless and immediately approached us

"Sora Oenni is like having a panic attack, she is having trouble breathing and her body is shaking," Eunsoo replied, holding my hand

"Oh my God, why is something like this happening again? Oenni, please have a drink again, try to breathe slowly. Everything will be fine. The police will catch the culprit. Trust me Oenni", said Sossa helping me drink water

"The police are coming!", Hansol walked towards us

When the police arrived, Minhyuk and Hansol immediately reported what had happened, they also immediately handed over the stones and paper containing the threat. The parking lot CCTV that we installed a few months ago captured the picture of the perpetrator.

And just like before, the perpetrator wore black closed clothes. Not a shred of skin to show. According to the police, when viewed from his posture, the perpetrator was a man with a height of about 165-175 cm. And it can be seen that the perpetrators really know this area. Hansol urged the police to immediately arrest the perpetrator, because he had done several disturbing things.

After we finished giving our statements to the police, Hansol and Minhyuk put a plywood board on the broken window. Meanwhile, Eunsoo cleaned the glass scattered in my room. Me and Sossa cleared my room. Move computers, and important files to the employee room.

I've calmed down a little, but my head is still filled with thoughts. It's almost midnight, we all feel tired. I felt sorry that my employees have to go through this too. We should have enjoyed our day off with great joy, but because of this incident, that feeling turned to anxiety and anger.

"It's done. I'll take you home, noona", said Minhyuk after he finished putting up the plywood board on the window

"Ye, Minhyuk better drive you home. You too, I'll take you home too", Hansol said to me, Sossa and Eunsoo

We immediately locked and turned off Minerva's lights. And make sure nothing is forgotten or left behind, because we will only come back after the holidays.

I let Minhyuk drive my car and drive me home. Meanwhile, Hansol will take Eunsoo and Sossa home with Sossa's car.

"I have told Aeri noona, Yunsu and Ara noona, about the incident. They are very worried about you, noona. I hope the police can catch the perpetrator before the holiday ends". Minhyuk said with a serious face

"Ye. I'm sorry for making you worry", I said while lowering my face

"Ani. It's not your fault, noona. Frankly, I didn't understand the contents of the threat letter. Did this have to do with your boyfriend? Did anyone jealous with you?", Asked Minhyuk looking at me

"I don't know Minhyuk. I don't know ...", I said biting my lip

I don't want to jump to conclusions. Is Namjoon what the perpetrator meant or not. If it was Namjoon, how would he know? How long has he known it? Instantly, the hair on my neck twitched, imagining that someone had been watching me all this time.

"Do I need to take you to the front door of your apartment, noona?", Asked Minhyuk, pulling me back to reality

"Huh? Oh, ani. You don't have to. Thank you Minhyuk~aah", I replied when I realized we had arrived at the parking lot of my apartment

"Are you sure, noona?", He asked again

"Ye. Then how about you? You're going to take a taxi?", I asked out of the car

"Ye. This neighborhood is very crowded, so I don't think it will be difficult to get a taxi", he replied while buttoning his jacket

"Alright. Thank you so much. I hope you enjoy your holiday, Minhyuk~aah", I sincerely told him

"Ye. You too, noona. Don't worry too much, I'm sure the police will find him", said Minhyuk smiling at me

"Ye, I hope so. All right, be careful," I said, waving at him

"Ye. Bye, noona", answered Minhyuk as he went to the main road

I tighten my coat when the winter wind blows at me. I leaned over to block the wind and walked toward the lobby of my apartment building. I greeted the guard on duty at the entrance and headed straight for the elevator to go up to the fifth floor.

When I got to the door of my apartment, I looked around, making sure no one was watching me. I immediately locked my door with a double lock and set an additional alarm. Then I closed all the curtains and locked the door to the balcony.

Why did I suddenly feel insecure? Am I too much? What if the perpetrator has been watching Namjoon and me? Who exactly is he ??

I lay down on the sofa and massage my head. I thought it was over, but I was wrong. Should I tell Sunmi and Namjoon about this incident?

But Sunmi is on vacation with her family, I don't want her to worry and not be able to enjoy her holiday. As for Namjoon, he's busy right now, I don't want this to make us fight again like that time.

I will leave this to the police, Hopefully after I return from Gwangju, the perpetrator will be caught and my life can return to normal.
