Leader Nicholas nodded, but before he could say anything, a scream from a soldier cut him off, and he looked in that direction with a razor-sharp gaze. One arm directed his palm, and not even a second later, the soldier was shapelessly crushed, sinking into the ground, startling everyone. The adults quickly shielded their still young eyes, ensuring they didn't witness the brutality and hurriedly ushered them indoors.

No one wanted to inadvertently incur an attack from Leader Nicholas, remembering that his gravity control using Constructs was still imperfect, and sometimes the Constructs didn't obey commands well. Two houses and their inhabitants had once merged with the ground, with everyone inside unable to be buried with open caskets. They could only gather unrecognizable pieces.
