Nova, just Nova

" Yawn,yawn that all I seem to be doing these days."

I leaned backwards, stretching out my arms. I had finished re-designing the large mountain range in the soon to be released game "Legends Born". I'm part of a large team putting together the newest, highly immersive gaming experience on the market.

This game… it's filled me with a burning passion ever since I've started working on it, millions of people will come together and play within this virtual world we have created. Thinking about how stunned people will be once they see how life like it is, put a smile on my face.

I looked to the dark windows, as the sound of the rolling thunder brought me out of my thoughts. It was so late that only I was left in the building, well I say only me, I also had 4 tubs of shin-cup ramen in the cupboard.

If I remembered whilst looking outside, that it was meant to be stormy tonight. ' I'll just crash here for the night' I got up and walked over to a large black and green cube. Inside were several monitors, lasers, pressure gauges and more and more; the endless amount of kit was insane.

Ted, I called it, was a multi-million-dollar device in it's alpha stages, once my and my team were done, we would go down in history. This device was unlike any other, it would make you feel as if you're in the world; smell, touch, pleasure… almost everything you would be able to feel.

If we can finish working out the endless bugs, it will revolutionise the world and I will be rich, diving into a bank made of money rich.

I opened the door to the cube and stepped into the dark, when my feet touched the ground, the tiles underneath began to softly glow. I shut the door behind me and walked over to the control panel. My team had been labouring all week like dogs, tweaking the programming. I really needed to get them a pay rise but for now, I needed to see my mountain.

From a tiny seed to biggest palace, I was in charge of creating all of it and making sure my 'World Environmental' team kept their deadlines, whilst the rest of the staff worked on character design, gameplay and storyline. It has been a lot but we've managed to handle it really well. The Dev team told me a lot of the bugs had been resolved so it was rough but playable.

I punched my number ID number into the control panel, opening up the games opening screen in full view. I hit the play button and watched as the screen melted away like cherry blossom petals. I put that little touch in.

The space of the cube transitioned into a white room as if I was standing in an open space. I lifted my arms a little as the lasers began scanning me from head to toe. Once they were done a handsome animated version of me stood opposite me on the screen.

" Please select the desired class" The female computer voice said.

I chuckled and quickly found {Rigger Lord} 'I've been carrying my team, I should have respective title hehhe'

The screen zoomed in on my character as the female voice said" Please customize your Character" I clicked on my face and immediately change it, I've had always hated my acne! ' Beautiful smooth tanned skin all the way! If I can't have that in a game! Then why did we bother making this!'

I left my greens eyes but changed nearly everything else.' I love games! Love them!' ..I laughed like a madman as gave myself a long silver bluish thick ponytail. Sharp eyebrows, full red lips, a robust chin and one of those crossfit trainer bodies "Hmmm, not bad Nova! Looking Good! ...too good! I saved and move onto the next part.

I huffed in annoyance as I looked at the clothes ' I'm going to have a word with the character designers, what's up with the female clothes, kids are going to be playing this game.'

The men's wardrobe was too extensive, im visitng a mountain not going to war. I scanned in what I was wearing; a charcoal grey hooded sweatsuit with trainers, along with a custom pen and pad that the dev team used, in a small leather drawstring bag. I looked like I was going on a run through the forests, I hit 'Save and Start' and placed the headpiece on my head.

I watched as the screen went dark, I was instantly brought to the opening menu of the game as the different missions started to display but I ignored them all and hit 'Free Roam'.

I just wanted to check out the mountain and maybe few bugs whilst I am inside, then log-out and back to my meal.
