"My lord, thank you for saving me." Saul got up from the ground, though his legs were still a bit weak, he insisted on standing up and looking straight at the pink bandaged man.
"New apprentice, do not stay alone in the East Tower until you have gained enough knowledge and power. At night, only your quarters are safe."
His voice was low, but unusually clear.
"I'm sorry my lord, I didn't know ..."
"Don't say you've seen me."
Saul's words were just in mid-sentence when he was interrupted by the person on the other side of the room.
The bandaged man raised his hand and waved it, a fresh breeze brushed close enough that Saul blinked involuntarily.
Opening his eyes again, Saul realized that he was already standing outside the door of Dormitory 604.
He quickly scanned the corridors on either side of him, the dim candle flames danced slightly and there was silence.
Without time to think, Saul opened the door and dashed into the dormitory.
...
Twelve o'clock had passed.
The blue hourglass instantly reversed, and the gravel that had been accumulating to full capacity fell back downward as time continued to pass slowly.
The two dormitory doors located on the eleventh floor of the West Tower opened at the same time.
Mark stepped from the dimly lit room into the even dimmer hallway and looked toward the door diagonally across the room.
"Twelve o'clock has passed, and our agreement ends here. I will only move my hand this once, and whether he survives or not, he will only be my schoolmate from now on."
There was no hint of impatience or a smile on Mark's face at this point.
Sid walked out from the dormitory diagonally across the street, a faint smile on his face.
"Of course, this is what we agreed on a long time ago. However, don't you want to know why I had to get that kid killed?"
"Don't want to." Mark said as he retreated back into his quarters and slammed the door.
"It's so boring, people who work with corpses all day are like that."
Sid's blonde hair dulled even in the dim candlelight, and he bowed his head, the candlelight and shadows splitting his face into several pieces.
His expression twisted for a moment, then returned to somberness in a flash.
"That diary must be in that brat's possession, it will only reappear if the previous owner dies. Brat, blame it on you being so lucky that the diary I've been begging for for years was casually thrown at your head."
Cid's right hand gripped empty a few times, as if he could still recall the subtle touch when he grabbed the hardcover book.
Unfortunately, due to inertia, it was only after he threw the book that he realized it was what he was looking for.
However, by the time he kicked away Saul's corpse and frantically searched his body, he realized that the hardcover book had disappeared.
Sol at his feet, however, resumed breathing once again.
There is only one explanation; the hardback must have saved him!
Looking at Saul's childish face, Sid wanted to kill him with his own hands countless times.
But no, in his grandfather's records, the diary would not be obtained by the murderer who killed its owner with his own hands.
Another arrangement had to be made.
Sid retreated a little into his quarters and closed his eyes tightly.
"Diary of a Death Witch, what is so fascinating about you? Why did my grandfather kill all his family and friends just to get his hands on you?"
Cid was full of questions, but inwardly determined.
Something that could make a grandfather as good as that madly chase after it, he had to get it!
...
After a chaotic, dangerous and crazy day, Saul nevertheless had to get up early tomorrow to go to class.
Reality was so frustrating.
It was twelve o'clock and he lay in bed forcing himself to sleep.
But that weird and scary scene in the lab always played out in turn before his eyes.
Was the abnormality in the lab related to Senior Mark? And why did he want to kill himself?
Who exactly was that pink bandaged man? Could it be one of the five mentors?
"It doesn't seem polite to always call people pink bandage guy," Saul thought about something irrelevant to cheer himself up a bit, "He's so powerful, he checks all the weirdness at once. Just go ahead and call him Pink Big."
In a daze, Saul felt like he was about to fall asleep.
"Knock, knock, knock!"
Why was there a knock on the door, was it already morning and Korrie had come to find herself?
Saul got up with a grunt and dimmed the lights, only to realize that it was just after one o'clock.
"Knock knock knock!"
The man at the door was still knocking.
Saul didn't really want to go over there, having just experienced that horrible scene, he was now a bit cupped and nervous.
"My lord."
The person outside the door couldn't wait any longer and called out softly, listening to the voice it was actually the maid from the daytime. Saul walked to the door and opened it a small crack.
Sure enough, it was the maid from the daytime.
At the moment she was draped in a pink silk cloak.
Only revealing the beautiful face and white neck, and then below ... seems to wear nothing.
Saul stood in the door.
"What are you doing here?"
"My lord," the maid smiled, her face flushed, "I know you're young, but don't you want to touch it?"
As the words left her mouth, the maid raised her hand, and the silk fell smoothly against her bare skin to her feet, revealing a ...
carved wooden body!
Saul jerked back a hand to slam the door shut, but the other woman stuck her head over, her face stuck in the crack of the door, only her mouth showing.
Those lips opened and shouted.
"Help me ... kill me! Kill me! Kill me!"
...
"Knock knock knock!"
Still knocking on the door.
Saul's eyes snapped open and he drew in a huge breath.
"Is it a dream?"
He leapt out of bed in a single bound and dimmed the candlelight to look at the hourglass clock.
Twelve-thirty.
It really had just been a dream.
Saul smoothly picked up the crystal ball on the table and slowly approached the door.
"Who's out there?"
It was quiet outside the door.
"I don't need special services." Saul raised his voice.
"... It's me, Konza."
"..."
Saul didn't really want to open the door, who knew if it was actually Konza out there, or something else?
But he couldn't stay in his quarters forever.
The door was opened a crack, the kind that could be closed at any time.
Outside, the woman in a long one-piece dress and a hood, showing only her delicate chin, stood there, the corners of her mouth slightly downturned.
"Lord Kongsa."
Saul stepped aside, and Kongsa walked right in, sitting in Saul's chair and lifting the hood on her head.
Kongsa's head was still horrible, but Saul, who had just come back from death in the lab, was able to face it numbly and calmly.
"You've had quite the apprenticeship, someone trying to climb into your bed at such a young age?"
Kongsha put one leg on the other, resting her elbow on one hand and her cheeks on the other, her sexy and slender figure was in full view.
If it wasn't for that half head, it was really more attractive than any maid.
"You finally came to me." Saul closed the door with a backhand.
"It's about time you realized what you're in for now."
"If you, Lord Konza, are referring to whether or not my strongest elemental sense knows why it was turned into the dark element ... then I probably understand my situation."
"Hmph!" Kong Sha lightly snorted, "Do you think your elemental perception is strong? If it wasn't for me helping you, I'm afraid you wouldn't even be able to choose a major element."
Sol paused for a moment, what Kong Sha said was most likely true.
He had realized during his meditation that he seemed to be able to perceive all elemental particles, yet his perception of each one was not strong.
He walked over to Kong Sha and softened his tone "Senior Kong Sha, are you here to help me?"
"Of course, or else I'm here to provide you with special services?" Kong Sha had a cold smile on the corner of her mouth, spreading her hand, a small pill bottle appeared in her hand.
It was the very same medicine bottle that had been given to Saul to heal his wounds in the first place.
"Senior sister, what is this?"
"It's a potion that can increase your perception of dark elements for a short period of time."
"This is the potion I drank last time?"
"Not exactly the same. This one you take one drop every day before meditating, and it can maintain high intensity perception for a few hours. After a month of acclimatization, I'll give you a new potion to help you reach 10 joules of magical power on your first test."
How did she know I needed to reach 10 joules of magic power on my first test? Who told her that?
Saul looked at the potion in front of him, his heart was moved, but he didn't accept it immediately.
"Senior sister, can I ask first, will this medicine have any side effects after taking it?"
