Chapter 28

"Ready for round two?!" I said to Jigen as I created a purple portal heading back to where I fought Hashirama and Madara. I knew I was going to lose ut at this point, the arrogance I carried along from my past life to this won't let me retreat without at least heavily injuring Jigen. Besides as long as he doesn't just fall and die for some reason, I still have a chance, however small it might be. I was angry but I wasn't going to let it cloud my judgement.

At this point in time, I'd rather die than retreat.'

The moment I stepped out of the portal, I released my chakra completing a jutsu. I then let my eyes turn to the dojutsu I awakened alongside the Otsutsuki bloodline, my left iris and pupil turned yellow with a black wheel-like pattern with eight-spokes coming out of the centre, while my right eye turns into the Byakugan.

Jigen walked out of the portal and stood in front of me. I activated the Byakugan, taking a good look at Jigen, I then smiled at what I discovered. 'Isshiki Otsutsuki huh! interesting.'

I appeared in front of Jigen already swinging my sword, right at that moment a wooden clone of mine emerged out of the ground behind Jigen with his hand coated in lightning. Jigen summoned a chakra rod, wielding it as a staff he blocked my sword.

'Amaterasu'

Black flames appeared on Jigen's body, he dropped the staff intending to absorb the Amaterasu flames with his karma. I wasn't going to miss this opportunity, two more wooden clones jump out of the ground with ash bones around them, they all sent it towards Jigen at the same time. 'Checkmate!' Jigen had no other choice, no matter what he does he'd be injured. He shrunk himself planning to slip out but we all did the same, he abandoned absorbing the Amaterasu flames, letting it burn him. He turned towards the ash bones shrinking all of them but this gave a chance to the first clone and me to complete our attack.

*Tch*

I hissed in annoyance as Jigen created a portal, using it in escaping. Wasting the effort I had just put in trying to kill him. I summoned my armoured susanoo, creating a double-sided spear by joining both weapons of the susanoo, I slammed it at where I sensed Jigen's chakra appearing but he shrunk himself, successfully dodging my attack.

'I've lost my advantage, this is going to be tough," I thought while maintaining an impassive face.

I had to dodge constantly as a barrage of chakra rods slammed into the ground all around the area even as far as were the bodies of Hashirama and Madara were. I balanced myself when the barrage finally stopped with Jigen hovering above the ground in front of me. I grunted in pain as I felt something go through my chest just narrowly missing my heart, looking down a saw what looks like a spearhead or glaive sticking out of my chest. "Wha...." I tried to say as a foot slammed into my back sending me to the floor with the weapon violently ripped out of me.

"Isshiki-sama, is he the aberrant?" I heard a voice from behind me ask as I activated 'Jikan Hanten' sending my body back to full health albeit with slightly less chakra.

'There are two of them now, I have to escape,' I thought, creating a portal.

"Nullify," That same voice rang out as the portal I created fizzled out, completely disappearing.

"Ugarishiki, what are you doing here?" The regal voice of Jigen rang out.

"I was sent ahead to capture the aberrant," The Ōtsutsuki now known as Ugarishiki replied. "Where is Kaguya? and why do I feel chakra from the inferior creatures on this planet?" he further asked.

"Do not ask me unnecessary questions. His body is going to be for my revival, so you can return," Jigen said to Ugarishiki, sounding annoyed.

"If you say so, Isshiki-sama. But since you look so weak, I'd help you capture him."

I tensed at what the new Otsutsuki said, he called Jigen weak. I tried creating a portal again but it didn't work, it kept fizzling out every time.

"Don't bother your portal won't function in my presence, It is my job to capture rogue clan members after all."

"Argh!" I screamed out in pain as my limbs exploded in a gory fashion. I activated 'Jikan Hanten' for the umpteenth time healing myself. I was breathing heavily, although 'Jikan Hanten' cost a flat rate of chakra, the mental pressure from having all my limbs explode at once wasn't something I could just shrug off.

"Subarashii!!!! how many times can you heal yourself? your body would have been good to have in my labs," the now confirmed sadist said. "Alas, Isshiki-sama wants it, how it would have felt to hear your screams as I carefully dissected you to find out the secrets of your body," the new Otsutsuki said, panting slightly.

"As much as I'd love to, I can't play with you."

As the Ōtsutsuki said that, chains appeared all over my body restricting my movement and stopping me from using chakra. I continuously tried to use devour as I felt the chains were made of chakra but the reality was different, while I could activate 'devour' the chains were physical metals so I could not absorb them. I continued struggling for minutes on end but it was futile as I still couldn't escape. I tried to look around for Jigen and this new Otsutsuki but they weren't coming over and it seemed like they were talking.

'It seems like I'd have to allow Jigen to place his Karma on my body making me his vessel, this Otsutuski won't be here forever, I'd get a chance to escape after he leaves." I ended the now pointless struggle after coming to this conclusion.

Jigen finally walks up to me, he looked completely fine but I could see a tiny crack on his abdomen. I placed his hands on my hand, and I felt a foreign chakra flow into my body, travelling from my head down to my right palm as a diamond mark started forming. The chakra started going out of control as 'Devour' activated without me willing it to, completely eradicating the chakra Jigen had sent into my body. 'Fuck, now he has no reason to keep me alive,' I hissed in trepidation as I felt the mark forming on my palm disappear.

"A failure," Jigen said with annoyance lacing his tone. "Your defective body would be useful at least."

"Isshiki-sama, the aberrant is defective, I'd take him back to the clan now."

"Kaguya betrayed the clan, his body would serve as a replacement."

Jigen picked up my body and then created a portal heading to one of his dimensions. I could hear a growling sound after getting out of the portal.

'Fuck! fuck! this bastard is trying to feed me to his pet juubi,' I started struggling to release myself as the realisation of what he'd said earlier dawned on me. The terrifying thought of being the food of Jigen's juubi kept playing in my mind.

"Do not worry, even in death your body would be useful to me," Jigen said as he threw me into the open mouth of the Juubi.

"I'd kill you Otsutsuki Isshiki!!!! I swear it I'd kill you," I screamed out at Isshiki, not caring if I revealed my knowledge of his existence.

*Crunch!!*

The chains around me disappeared but it was too late as the teeth of the juvenile juubi clamped around my body. I could feel my entire body getting crushed by the jaws of the juubi as parts of my body starts turning into chakra to transform the juvenile juubi into a shinju (God Tree). I felt it, right at that moment I felt my connection to the system dimension fading, it was as if the dimension was dying and I felt someone was with my chakra somewhere, I couldn't figure out where it was from as it was becoming harder and harder to concentrate.

'I have to do something!' That thought kept repeating over and over in my head as my mind became fuzzier and fuzzier. I could only think of a single option, if it failed I'd die but I'm already dying so I have nothing to lose. But I had to give the system one instruction first to facilitate my recovery incase I survive this so Jigen doesn't kill me immediately.

'System Transfer Authority.'

[Requesting Permission]

[Permission Granted, Transferring Authority.]

'Than.....Yo...' I mumbled in return, finding it hard to string together the actual words due to the growing decline in my mental acuity

'DEVOUR'

For the first time, I unleashed the full power of devour as my entire body, broken pieces and all turns into black chakra diving into the core of the Juubi.
