After office hours, Kelly nervously glanced around as she followed Ana to the parking lot. "I'm scared, Ana," she whispered, looking over her shoulder as if someone might overhear.
Ana rolled her eyes, her lips curving into a smug smile. "What's there to be scared of? My daddy's an investor here. He'll take care of everything," she said, sliding into her flashy car with an air of confidence.
Kelly bit her lip, still feeling uneasy. "Still…"
"Don't be silly," Ana said dismissively. "My daddy will handle it." She flipped her hair and revved the engine, brushing off Kelly's concerns as they sped out of the lot.
