Chapter 52: Power of the blue gem

<<It broke free from my hold? How is this possible? I could swear it was completely suppressed a second ago!>> Alex's mind was filled with thoughts as he realized something is wrong.

The fact that the mutant beast could muster enough power to break free from his hold in such a manner was more than enough evidence for him to know something bad is about to happen. When it stepped back to evade the decapitating attack, Alex's heart skipped a beat but he remained calm.

To know the true limits of this beast he would need a sacrificial pawn to spearhead the attack

"And that is where you come in" Alex mumbled coldly as he watched the hunter charge at the beast fearlessly. He could have stopped him but he chose not to.

If someone who has been in this job for more than a decade now can be so hot-headed and refuse to analyze the battle situation then he is not qualified to be a hunter, nor should he be allowed to live.
