CHAPTER 99: The Return

Aella stood up from her sitting position and picked up her bag as she dusted the snow from it before placing the meal box into it.

'What are you doing?' Derake, the black and big creature in front of her, asked as he peered down at her with confusion.

"Leaving, Derake, as your Master had asked of me," Aella threw the bag over her back and turned around to proceed when she was stopped by the pet's red eyes glaring down at her.

Aella took a few steps behind from the shock she got by seeing Derake in front of her so quickly.

'You will not leave,' the animal's tone sounded authoritative.

"It is not your place to decide, sweet thing," Aella muttered, feeling angst that he was making her departure much harder than it already was.

'But it is in your right to choose to stay with my Master,' Derake shot back which made Aella still for a while.
