CHAPTER 46: The Steaming Tea

"Ah!" Aella grimaced as Bane pressed the ground herbs onto her swollen ankle.

Bane glanced up at her as though to tell her she deserved it.

"Wouldn't have gotten this bad if you listened," he muttered as he held her multi-coloured foot in his hand.

"Thank you very much," Aella gritted sarcastically as the pain intensified.

"You're welcome," Bane uttered which made her roll her eyes.

The room she had been assigned to was filled with bodies of the slain ogres and it reeked badly of their mongrelish blood.

So Bane had taken her to another room on the first floor which was safe from the attack. It was much smaller than the rooms she had seen but it was clean and cosy.

Bane took a clean cloth and tied her ankle tightly for the herbs to sink in properly.

He grabbed her hand and tore off the sleeve of the dress as she had another bleeding gash on her arm.
