CHAPTER 44: The Dark Blast

"Heavens!" Aella tried to calm her racing heart as she held onto the thick body of Bane's pet.

Her legs were dangling at each side of its belly as they flew in the air, heading towards the Castle which was being taken down by the green-skinned ogres.

Aella had never rode on a flying animal before and the thought that she might trip and fall to her death from such a tremendous height made her grab the beast tighter.

The cold wind hitting her face aggressively blew her blonde locks all over the place and she squinted her eyes to see past the white storm of dust that had gathered in the air.

"There! There!" Aella pointed down to her blade which had dropped to the ground when she was thrown out of the window.

The animal grunted in agreement and dived towards the direction she directed it to.

"A little bit lower. Just a little bit," she placed her hands on its back as it got to mid-air.
