Delirium II: Headless in the fog

Vardus was trying to understand the actual situation and suddenly stopped abruptly causing Ingus to crash on his back and wince while holding his nose.

Ingus: “OU- “

Vardus quickly shushed him with a gesture. Ingus looked at him confused. Vardus was not looking at him but forward. Ingus looked past him and could see a figure standing in the smoke, slightly highlighted by the poor dim light of the redder part of the smoke. Vardus’s ears were flat on his head and his fur was standing. His tail swayed anxiously behind him while his eyes narrowed on the figure.

Vardus: (*mumbling*) “We are going to step back and try another way…”

Ingus nodded and started to move back a bit. Vardus followed not leaving the figure from sight. Ingus stopped as he bumped on a hard surface. Vardus had to stop as well before asking.

Vardus: “Ingus…why did you stop?”
