Chapter 7 Guardians Conclave

"Tch. A bunch of petty weaklings from a mere mid sized guild wanted to take advantage of me."

Adrosiean was truly annoyed and furious. If not for their sneak attack, Adrosiean would not be so passive like this in this world. He won't have to waste time looking for corpses everywhere to replenish his strength.

If Adrosiean had not summoned to this world, he would have went to destroy that guild over and over and murder their members until all the players from the guild quit the game from despair.

In the past, Adrosiean had done these kind of things to many guilds and players who want to take advantage of him.

Because of that, Adrosiean was despised by some. He was even described as a tyrant by them. However, no matter how bad the public option was on him was, his skills were genuine.

Adrosiean did not care about how other players disliked him. No one dared to say those things to his face anyway.

Adrosiean considered this as true power. As long as he is strong enough, nothing could shake him from his throne.

Despite Adrosiean not particularly causing trouble to the others, he would never take that laying down if anyone want to take advantage of him.

Furthermore, there were more people who admired him than the people who hated him. Because Adrosiean was not the only one.

Rise of the Worlds is an open RPG game consisted of many worlds and various maps. Anyone could be your enemy. That applied more to the top players. Many people want to be like them but also target them.

Thus, many top ranked guilds were not lenient in teaching a lesson to the players who challenged them.

It was mainly to make an example out of them and scare the others. This was a form of deterrence used by many top ranked guilds.

Thus, Adrosiean was not the only one who used these kind of methods. There were always hyenas and vultures hiding in the dark and the top guilds had to make sure to scare them.

Therefore, many smaller guilds and normal players hesitated to offend them. The main reason for that mid sized guild got the courage to sneak attack Adrosiean was simply because the rewards were too alluring.

Not including the fame they would gain, just the items from Adrosiean's inventory could elevate their guild's power to several levels. The rewards greatly surpassed the risks.

"Nevermind. It's no use having regrets right now. If there is no powerful body available, I just have to fuse the undeads together to create death knights."

Adrosiean cleared his thoughts. He knew regretting and getting angry right now would not help him with anything.

Adrosiean also felt that his anger level had been increased since he had summoned here. But it was not strange for him. After all, he is now a demon.

In the Rise of the Worlds, there is another way to create high level undeads. If the dead body of a certain high level NPC is not available, the players could fuse multiple dead bodies together and create a more powerful condensed version of the undead.

That skill is called 'Corpse Engineering.' But in the Rise of the Worlds, corpse engineering was considered a useless skill by many high level players. The main reason was because there were no lack of high level NPCs in the game.

Furthermore corpse engineering skill has a level limit. It's limit is only within the middle tier undeads. It cannot create highest tier undeads such as death lords or undead dragons no matter how many corpses a player fuse together.

Only low level players who cannot hunt hight levek NPCs and some players who want to test or create new types of undead for fun had used this skill.

But now the skill which was completely useless to many players in the past had became useful for Adrosiean.

Death knights were among the upper middle tier undeads in the Rise of the Worlds. Thus, they were still among the middle tier undeads and could be created using corpse engineering skill.

Even though creating a single death knight alone would cost at least a thousand corpses, it is still in the acceptable range for Adrosiean.

"Ha. I never thought this trash skill would become useful to me like this."

Adrosiean chuckled lightly. Corpse engineering is a compulsory skill that the players have to learn first before learning other higher level undead summoning skills.

Adrosiean learned it only because it was part of the skill tree and he cannot learn other undead summoning skills if he did not learn corpse engineering skill first.

"The business here is done. Let's go."

Adrosiean turned around and ordered the cultists. He had no intention to destroy a town yet. It would be way too eye catching.

"Yes my lord. May I know where we are going this time?"

Rexhell asked respectfully while bowing his head.

"First, we will go to the Crenoth kingdom. Rexhell, lead the way."

Adrosiean ordered. According to the continent map that Rexhell had shown, to go to the dragonspire, they have to pass through at least three nations. To be exact, it was two kingdoms and one empire on their way.

It was a long way. It was expected. They are traveling from near the bottom of the map to the top area.

In the game, even without teleportation, Adrosiean could use short blink skills or his wings to quickly reach one location from another.

But currently he was traveling with the demonic cult and how could these half demons move as fast as him.

If Adrosiean travel with his usual speed, he could reach Dragonspire in a few days. However, Adrosiean intended to take this slow for now.

He was not in a hurry or in an immediate danger anyway. Thus, he wanted to know about this world better before carrying out his ambitions.

"As you command my lord. I will lead the way for you."

Rexhell respectfully bowed and walked to the direction of the Crenoth kingdom. The demonic cultists closely followed from behind.

Somewhere unknown in the world, a castle illuminating with brilliant moonlight is floating in the sky.

Above the castle, a meeting was being held on the floating platform. The platform was decorated with moon like runes and magic. The graceful moonlight shines on the platform.

A group of humanoid figures seated around the meeting table. They are not just humans but a mix of different species.

"Not long ago, we detected a powerful foreign energy source entering the world barrier. According to our investigations, it's destination seem to be Alixena continent."

One of the humanoid figures spoke. Her soft voice was beautiful yet there was a sense of authority and power in her words.

She is a stunning beauty. Her slender body is pale and her eyes were illuminating with moonlight.

Her long black hair cascading down her back elegantly like a waterfall. Her beautiful long dress is adorned with raven black feathers. She is called 'Black Raven Sorceress.'

"Has another one descended? How long has it been since the last one?"

Another figure asked.

"It's been exactly 100 years since the last evil descender descended to this world. The time seem right."

The black raven sorceress answered.

"That time, we used the divine weapon to defeat him. Should we do the same this time?"

One of the figure spoke with confidence. He has a powerful aura. His face is covered in some kind of tribal mask that made with a beast skull and wore the hide of a dire tiger on his back.

He giant physique has the animalistic features and savagery that resembled some kind of beast. He is called the 'Beastmaster,' known for his ferocity. He is not a human but a fearsome beastman.

"I don't think so. Descenders are powerful. We should not act rashly without any information."

The black raven sorceress objected.

"Why should we scare of the descenders! We have the divine weapon. We killed them before and we can do the same this time."

The beast master said confidently. He has a aggressive nature and arrogance of a beast.

"Don't forget we also lost a lot of members in the fights. We don't want unnecessary losses."

The black raven sorceress coldly snorted.

"Tsk. Why are you so scared like a coward? Just give me the divine weapon and I will murder this descender in no time that he won't even know how he died."

The giant beastman slammed his fist at the table and roared back at the black raven sorceress in anger.

"Enough!"

A figure at the center who seemed to be the leader spoke. His aura suddenly spread out the whole area. Everyone there felt a terrifying pressure crushing onto them.

Even the aggressive beastmaster shivered in fear and stopped his arguing. Sweat dripping down from his forehead.

"Black raven is right. We don't need unnecessary fights. We already suffered a lot in the war with the evil descender last time."

The leader retracted back his aura and said calmly.

"Furthermore not all descenders are evil. Our moon goddess was an example. She is a descender yet she fought the other evil descenders for this world and even left her divine weapon to us."

He continued.

"According to our past records, there are also cases of some descenders who wished to remain natural and silently. We do not wish to provoke those kind of sleeping monsters unnecessarily without reason."

Another figure added.

"It is decided. We will keep an eye on this descender and observe from afar. If he shows any sign of evil, we will eliminate him using the divine weapon our goddess bestowed upon us."

Everyone nodded in agreement at their leader's words.

"Black raven, your abilities are the most suitable for scouting and observing. You are perfect for this role. Observe this new descender closely. Also the Alixena continent should be under the justification of the beastmaster.

Work together with black raven and help in her investigation. Don't fight with the descender on your own, especially you, beastmaster."

The leader warned coldly to the beastmaster.

"We have to look at the big picture. It is our job as guardians to protect this world."

He continued.

"We won't let you down."

Both the black raven sorceress and the beastmaster bowed and said in agreement.

"This meeting is concluded. For the moon goddess."

"For the moon goddess."

All of them said in unison. They are the guardians who protect this world in secret from the evil beings and invasions that came from the other worlds.

They never intervene with the world's affairs and only come out to intervene when the world is going to face total destruction or the foreign enemies from other worlds appear.

Each of their members were made of the powerful heroes across the world and commonly known as the 'Guardians Conclave'.
