After breakfast, Father Yu stepped out and headed towards the Zhu family house.

Since he felt that Zhu Fan would have been scared shitless about Zhao Xinyi finding evidence, Father Yu went there with arrogance.

The Zhu family was one of the top families in the first district and had a more stable background than the Yu Family. However, even their house was simple and was just enough for their family of five.

"Where's your brother?" Father Yu asked arrogantly as soon as he was ushered in by one of Zhu Fan's sisters.

He sneered as he looked at the relaxed mood here. "Do these people think that my Yu Family is a joke?"

Zhu Fan came as soon as he heard Father Yu was in the living room. As he was Yu Lan's father, Zhu Fan restrained his prideful aura.

"Father Yu,"

Father Yu felt his greeting was too inappropriate for his future father in law, however, since he still had a more important matter to settle, he didn't want to start talking about formalities with him.

"Zhu Fan, how is preparations for the selection final tomorrow? Xiao Lan has been worried sick on your behalf and made me come here to handle matters,"

Zhu Fan shrugged dismissively, "she doesn't have to worry, since I'm the one that built it, there's nothing that Zhao Mei can do,"

The other day in the hall, he had only been shocked out of his mind when he saw Zhao Mei whom he thought he had killed come into the hall.

Because of that, his emotions had been unstable and he acted a little out of it.

Now that he had gone back home to think about it. He felt that it was very possible that Zhao Mei hadn't seen him when he barged into the toilet stall.

Also, the chances that she might have suffered a concussion was high and she might not even remember.

And the most important thing was that, after knocking her head against the wall, he had deleted the recording of their conversation that Zhao Mei kept to use as evidence.

As for the competition material, he had already swapped out the phones. The current Zhu Fan was more confident than anyone at this point and knew that there was nothing anyone could do.

Even though he was thinking all of these, his thoughts were hidden from his face and he looked at Father Yu with an empty expression.

Father Yu sneered, thinking that Zhu Fan was really arrogant and over confident.

"Also, you should know that the software she created is just the higher one of the software that my company uses for the gambling services that we run, if she presents her evidence together with that, it is possible that people would believe her more than you…"

At his first words, Zhu Fan still didn't put his mind to it, but after hearing the second part, he sat up slightly, his attention more drawn to what Father Yu was saying.

As a shrewd person, Father Yu noticed his body language and added more oil to the fire that was already burning.

"It would be terrible if they drag matters out, after all, if they do an on-site testing of skills, the both of us know who will win between you two,"

Zhu Fan kept quiet, allowing the words to sink in. Also, he couldn't tell what Father Yu's real intentions was. He also couldn't lose guard and say anything that would be implicating.

Father Yu threw his head back in laughter and wished that Zhu Fan was his child. Thankfully, he had been smart to think of this plan otherwise, he was certain that Zhu Fan would leave his daughter after getting to the second District.

Zhu Fan was tempted by that offer and even though he felt like he could settle the matter without them including that, he knew that if they also stood against him, he might be unable to settle matters.

Before he could reply, Father Yu continued, "However, you have to agree to share whatever profits this brings with me."

Upon hearing this, Zhu Fan sneered. "Father Yu, I'm sorry but I have no interest in sharing my technology with you. If you have decided to argue on the ownership with your adopted daughter, then there's nothing I can do but to let the judges decide."

Father Yu was stumped with his words and wondered where Zhu Fan had gotten the confidence from. Wasn't he looking all panicked and worried the previous day?

He stood up, pretending like he had the upper hand.

"I have done my best to help you because of Xiao Lan, but if you still don't want my help, there's really nothing I can do."

One had to applaud Father Yu's shrewdness as his words made Zhu Fan hesitate as he wondered what evidence they had that could make him lose all what he had worked for.

"Father, if you really want to help me, the first thing is to show me the evidence that Zhao Mei has. It is only when I know the evidence she has prepared that I can also prepare myself…."

"Also, regarding the profits, you must know that Lan'er is the woman I love. Everything I own belongs to her. There's no need for us to split things like outsiders when everything already belongs to your daughter!"

Father Yu had to hold himself back from cursing after hearing Zhu Fan's words.

Everything he has belongs to Yu Lan?

But at the same time, he couldn't argue as Zhu Fan's words already trapped him.

If he truly had some evidence against him, he might have been able to talk or even show him a small part of it so that he could get him to cooperate.

But he really had no evidence.

Clearly, she had heard the whole conversation but didn't step out when Father Yu was there.

Zhu Fan nodded in agreement. He had never had plans to be with Yu Lan for the long run either.

He had only seen her as someone that could keep him company while he worked hard to increase his Value Points. But he would never have imagined that through her, he would be able to get such a good thing from Zhao Mei.

Thinking of Zhao Mei's face that day when she stood up to him, Zhu Fan couldn't help the slight throbbing he felt in his heart.
