Chapter 31: Untitled

Ok lets tell you what happened so far. This is a couple years later. The girls started schools since they are 5 years old now. Rio is 4 so he is starting preschool and Seth is just 3 so he is home with me. Its getting a little quieter since the kids are now starting school. I feel a little lonely. I don't work much anymore since I had to take care of the kids before they started school. Hazel still works though. The kids have been to his work and loved it. Haha its cute Aqua said she wanted to be just like her daddy when she grew up. She wanted to be a painter just like Hazel. As for Aya, well she wants to work with her uncle Vince. I told her about him and the creatures he has there. She didn't care. Well as for Tyde, well, his boy Pax, he is 6 and his sister Echo is 5. They are both in school. They get some alone time before the kids come home. Tyde usually gets home before the kids get home. she works as well. I gave up the idea of being a warrior since I officially turned demon. Well lets get back to the story so I don't spoil too much.

"Aunt Lia! Come on we're going to be Late!" "I'm coming!" We were going to the prince's wedding with Zala. I was surprised they waited 2 years after the battle. Then my kids, Hazel got in one carriage, father and uria went in another and so did Lia and uncle. Oh speaking of father, they had a baby boy. I have a baby brother now. Of course he is 2 now. "Dad how is Zax now?" "Oh he is at Kira's he will be fine." "Sigh. I'm going to miss my darling boy." Said Uria. "I know what you mean. It was the same with Rio when it was just him too. Now that the kids all started school, its quiet with just Seth. He only has until next year before he starts preschool." "Have you though about working lately?" "Well when Seth goes to preschool I will. Except I don't want to work selling swords and daggers anymore. I either want to do something helpful with my power or learn to paint like Hazel. You know I've never even drew a picture since my childhood days. It would be interesting to see how I draw." "Why don't you try something simple first. Like draw something around the house?" "Yeah good idea. I think I might borrow Hazel's Easel When he goes to work. I have a year to practice anyway." "Yeah good idea."

It was a long ride but finally we made it. We told them that we needed to rest for a while. Then they had someone show us to our rooms. Their wedding was in 2 days.

After our rest we went to join the prince and Zala. "Hey Zala. How do you feel about marrying the prince?" "Well he at least waited for 2 years out of respect. He's kind of a nice guy." Then we heard a man's voice. "Kind of huh?" said the prince. "I was talking with my friend here." "OK I get it. Have some girl talk later. I need to talk to Zuri in private. I already talked to Hazel. "Ok well I guess I will see you later then." So I left with him to his office.

"So I see you have been doing well?" "Yeah well. I've been better." "You look pretty in your demon form. Hazel told me about your situation. I'm sorry. It must suck to not turn human again." "Sort of. So what did you want to talk about?" "I just wanted to see how you were and let you know that it really was out of protection I was going to marry you." "Yes I know. I was told. But who was I being protected from? Obviously it wasn't from Tyde's father." "So that's who it was. Well no its not from him. That was the demons war. This is the human's war. Yes you are one now, but this person will recognize you. I have never seen their face, but my father has. You should go talk to him about it later." "OK. Does he know about me now? When is he coming?" "According to father, he had to strengthen his army. He doesn't know either." I took a deep breath and let it out. "Ok. Then after we are done talking, I will see your father. Where is he at this moment?" "Oh he is in a meeting. He should be done soon." "Ok I'll wait in the mean time. Oh uh. Sorry for worrying you back then. I was pregnant and I didn't know you wanted to marry me for protection." "Its fine. Now go." "Yes." Then I got up and headed somewhere I can wait until the meeting was over. A few minutes later the meeting was done. One of the guards told the king I was waiting for him.

I heard someone walk in the room I was in. I looked up and saw the King. "Your majesty." I bowed. "Please rise. What did I tell you Zuri? I told you not to bow to me. whether or not you are married to my son, you are still family." "Thank you sir." "So what seems to be the problem?" "Sigh. Well Your son wanted to pull me to his office, he told me that he wanted to see how I was. He saw that I was fine and I said I was. Then we got down to the real business. He apologized to me for not telling me he wanted to marry me for protection. I told him I was sorry because I didn't know as well. I also found out when I went to the demon village I was already a month pregnant. So I was already pregnant with Soma's child. Anyway that is not the issue here. So he told me there is someone after me. He wanted to marry me for this reason to protect me. He said you knew who the man was." "Ah. There it is. I was wondering when you were going to ask that. Don't worry all will be well for now. Whatever happens won't be for awhile yet. When it does, someone will let you know I promise." "OK then. Thanks." Then I excused myself and left.

I went to find Hazel, and when I did I told him what was happening. "Hmm. OK. Well we will worry about it when the time comes. Until then lets relax until the wedding day." Then he kissed my head and hugged me. I hugged him back. The kids were running around with some guards and maids with them. "Sigh. Lets go see the lake here at the castle. Its so pretty." "Ok sure."

We went to the lake, and it was as pretty as I remember it. I took off my shoes and jumped in. "Zuri what are you doing?!" "Going for a swim. Want to join me?" Then he jumped in to join me. "OK lets go." Then we dove down and wanted to explore.

This is one thing I don't miss being a human. I can breathe under water with these Gills of mine. "I'll race you." "OK sure." Then we were off. So we swam and swam until I started feeling funny and stopped midway. Hazel stopped after he saw me stop. "Zuri are you ok?" No response. She was in a daze and he was worried not knowing what was happening to her. "Hey Zuri. Zuri." It got all quiet for her and she didn't hear a sound anymore. Then Hazel grabbed her and headed up to the surface when they heard someone swimming up to them.

"Oh no. Zuri." The man came up to Hazel. "Excuse me sir. Why are you holding Zuri?" "Oh hello. My name is Hazel. I am her husband. You know Zuri?" "Yeah for a long time now. I just didn't know what happened to her. She hasn't visited for awhile so we were worried." "Can you find out what is wrong with her? She was in a daze and is not responding. She is still not." "Sigh. This still happens in her demon form." "Actually sir what is your name?" "Oh apologies. My name is Azure." "Well Azure. There is something you should know about her." Then he told her how she got stuck this way. "Hmm. I see. Well the sickness is just in her body rather its human or not I guess. She had these spells a lot when she was little." "She's lived with me for a couple of years and hasn't had one." "Yes it is strange." "Is there a doctor that can understand her situation?" "Yes two actually. The doctor here and the prince's doctor." "OK well I'm going to bring her to the surface. Can you bring the doctor down here up for some information as well?" "Yes of course." "Thank you Azure. You're a good friend." "It's the least I can do since she saved my life. I let her tell you about it." "Ok thanks see you later." "Sure thing. Take care of her for us." "I will."

Then he swam up as fast as he could. Then he yelled for the palace doctor. The prince came over just as worried. "Sigh. Another one of her spells huh?" "Apparently." The doctor came by in a rush. "Oh Zuri. You had an episode again." Hazel had closed her eyes so they didn't dry out.

"Is she going to be alright doc?" "Sigh. How long before her last episode?" "She has lived with me for years. We have a 2 year old at home and a 3 year old biological child. She still hasn't had any episode. Heck we even adopted 2 girls. In all this time no symptoms. What triggered it?" "Sigh. we don't know what triggers it that is the problem." "So if we find out the trigger, we can stop the episodes?" "Something like that." "Well when she had an episode we were racing. I don't think that is what caused it though." "Its not." Said another voice. Then a muscular man came up to us. "Hello Hazel. The names Doc Ocean." "Nice to meat you Ocean. So if racing is not the trigger, then what is it?" "Well I don't know about the doc here, but I have been experimenting with others, with the same symptoms. To see what we can do to help her. So far its always the same thing. They stop and think of a memory. The thing is, the memory isn't a good one. Its almost like they were Cursed." "Cursed? Hmm. I think I might know someone that I can talk to about that. I will be right back." Then he left.

"Hello Zala. Are you busy?" "Not really. Why?" "Something is wrong with Zuri. Looks like whatever this episode thing happened again. Then doc Ocean said that its almost like she is cursed." "I knew it! I knew it wasn't natural! Let me see her!" Then she followed Hazel.

"Oh Zuri." Said Zala. Then she ran the rest of the way and checked her out. "I need you to lay her down somewhere comfortable." Said Zala. "Ok the parlor is closer." Said Hazel. So they laid her down on the couch there.

Then she focused on Zuri's body. She touched Zuri's head and closed her eyes. Then a purple light came out. After awhile the light finally disappeared, and Zuri was waking up. "Hmm. What happened?" "I can't believe all this time I didn't know what is was." "Its your fault Zala." Then Zuri cut in. "Uh Hello? Can anyone hear me?" "Zuri! Your awake!" Said Hazel." "Yeah I have been. What happened? How did I get here? Last thing I remember, I was racing Hazel in the water. Then all is fuzzy." Then Zala explained. "Do you remember the blackouts you used to have?" "Yeah. Is that what happened?" "Yes. But they weren't normal. I just found out it was a curse. I healed the curse from you though." "I see. Oh Ocean you're here." "Yeah Azure grabbed me. He was worried." "Oh Azure was there too? I'm sorry I missed him. How are the kids?" "They are fine. They are down for their naps and the older ones are doing home work." "Oh good." Then she closed her eyes again and Zala checked her and was relived she was just resting.

A couple days later, it was time for the wedding.
