Blain drove around aimlessly looking for any kind of trouble to get into. He couldn't believe the things he has seen and been through these past weeks with Emily. Blain thought about what he would do if he ever caught up to either of these two men. He shook his head violently trying to rid the images from his mind. He wondered how much better of a woman she could be if her mind wasn't always so full of negativity. He also wondered if this would be the rest of his life now that he proposed to her. He couldn't possibly leave the four of them after everything he knows.
Emily picked up the shot glasses she collected from all over the world, throwing them one by one at the wall. They shattered making a loud crashing noise, startling the kids. All three of them came to see what mockery their mother was doing now. Emily couldn't believe she was going to lose Blain over these dreadful nightmares. What is wrong with me, she thinks to herself? Emily contemplates getting help for whatever is going on with her but what good would a doctor do when she isn't even sure whether her shadow demon is real or in her mind. She feels his touch on her skin. How could that be if he isn't even real? He's gotta be real, mind whirling. I will find out who you are, Emily says aloud to no one.
She decides her demon is most certainly Jeremiah. He has never left her and Lucas alone and he never will. Emily knows the notes she finds are Jeremiah's way of playing a sick game until he's ready to claim her once more. He swore he'd never let her go and he made her promise him forever the first time they ever played his power game.
