[1] Isekai Victim

At two in the morning, a profound silence enveloped the surroundings. It was a night of darkness and howling winds, a night fit for murder and arson.

[Even if I die suddenly, nailed in my coffin, I will shout out with these decaying vocal cords in the grave... 'Fuck your useless waifu!']

Watching a group of men of cultures still active in the chat group, Aiden's lips curled slightly upwards. With agile fingers, he tapped out a message.

[Go to sleep, adults should know they can't have everything. Might as well wash up and dream, you can have anything in dreams. Goodnight.]

[Goodnight.]

[Goodnight.]

Setting down his now dimmed phone, Aiden, who had spent the night grinding saint quartz, unsurprisingly harvested nothing. He soon drifted into a deep slumber, venturing into the realm of dreams with a beautiful maid.

When Aiden was traveling in the land of Morpheus, suddenly the previously tranquil sky tore open, a rift appearing in space. A terrifying energy emanated from it along with a domineering and evil voice echoing faintly, "That's right, just like this, Saitama. This is what makes it worth it for me, Boros, the Dominator of the Universe, to defeat you! Energy release! Collapsing Star Roaring Cannon!"

Under the sudden appearance of the collapsing star roaring cannon for unknown reasons, this blue planet without the caped baldy hero had no reaction time whatsoever, let alone any power to stop it. In the next moment, the sky collapsed, the earth split, plateaus were leveled, seas evaporated, and the entire crust was utterly destroyed.

Shortly after, in the dust-covered sky devoid of stars, several more spatial rifts appeared. Accompanied by intense wind pressure, a silver light streaked across the sky, descending upon the blazing surface of the earth.

...

In the night-shrouded labyrinth city Orario.

A black-haired youth lay inexplicably at the corner of the street. His skin was fair, his frame slender, his chest rising and falling rhythmically.

Yet, this abrupt appearance of a youth did not draw anyone's attention. Pedestrians passing by didn't stop or glance his way, as if there was no one lying there. Yet, there seemed to be some mysterious force enveloping the young man, granting him an enhanced version of Kato Megumi's talent, rendering him utterly inconspicuous.

Time passed, unmarked.

Hungry!

So hungry!

"So hungry, I'm really hungry~"

Aiden felt his stomach growling emptily, his organs echoing feeding songs, each verse more intense than the last.

"Damn, what time is it now? How could I be so hungry? Didn't I set my alarm for 10:30?"

In a daze, Aiden struggled to fight off sleep, slowly raising his hands and rubbing his eyes. Without opening them, his left hand subconsciously reached for his non-existent glasses.

"Hmm... Where are my glasses? Why does the feel of my cabinet seem different?"

In a half-awake state, Aiden couldn't help but open his eyes, still filled with a hazy sense of drowsiness.

"Wow... What a beautiful starry sky."

"I'm not wearing glasses, yet everything seems so clear?"

"And, shouldn't I be looking at the ceiling?"

"Hmm... I must still be dreaming."

After a moment of contemplation, Aiden decided to ignore his protesting stomach and go back to sleep.

A few seconds later, a gentle breeze brushed past, bringing a hint of coolness.

"Did I kick off the blanket?"

Aiden reached down with his right hand to pull the blanket over his stomach, but all he felt was air. He had to rub his eyes vigorously with both hands, struggling to open them. When he finally did, he saw his hands, fair and slender, without a single scar.

The drowsiness vanished instantly from Aiden's mind, replaced by shock as he blurted out, "What the hell?"

"What's going on? Why am I so pale? And the scars on my hands are gone. Where am I now?"

With a bewildered expression, Aiden sat up with his hands on the ground, shifting his gaze away from his hands.

Not far away, amidst the European medieval-style buildings, pedestrians in various colorful costumes with various weapons passed by, as if attending a cosplay event. Aiden looked utterly confused.

A girl dressed as an adventurer, with furry ears on her head and a furry tail above her buttocks, walked by hand in hand with her companion, chatting and laughing.

"Huh?! Is she a catgirl?"

"Wait, are they speaking Japanese?!"

Aiden immediately drew a conclusion.

Another girl in mage robes passed by.

"These pointed ears... are they elves?!"

He subconsciously thought he was still dreaming, so he pinched his thigh hard with his right hand, a myriad of thoughts flashing through his mind.

"Damn, that hurts! This isn't a dream. Okay, deep breaths. Don't panic, don't panic. Start counting primes... wait, what are primes? Damn, why did I give back all the math to the teacher when I was only in my second year? Pull yourself together! Is this the time to think about this stuff? Calm down!"

Aiden gently slapped his cheeks with both hands, trying to steady his racing thoughts.

"First things first, this clearly isn't my room. And those 'cosplayers' are speaking Japanese."

He put his hands down, softly stroking himself while carefully observing his own body.

"Secondly, my skin is flawless, like a newborn baby's. Even the little bit of belly fat is gone. Did I reincarnate? Or did my soul transfer? So, my consciousness is in a different body now?"

"Thirdly, I'm dressed so freely, yet these people don't seem to react at all. It's like they can't see me, or is it normal for them? Am I invisible? Or am I dead? No, if I were dead, it wouldn't feel so real, and I wouldn't be damn hungry."

"And judging from the architectural style and the pedestrians here, this isn't Rukongai from Bleach, let alone Seiretei."

Aiden's hands trembled slightly as he came to an unbelievable conclusion, "So, I get isekai'd? And I get isekai'd into a Japanese-style parallel world?"

He tried to suppress his fear of the unknown and started analyzing, "So, where exactly is this? I haven't watched much isekai anime, and it might not necessarily be anime, it could be a light novel, manga, or game that I've never heard of."

"Dwarves, elves, and humans living together in harmony is not unusual... first, rule out No Game No Life, then Zero no Tsukaima, and finally Fairy Tail. Is it Re:Zero? Isekai Smatrphone? Tensura? Danmachi? Or Konosuba?"

"There are too many possibilities. What the fuck, with just these, I can't determine which world this is. I can only pray it's not a chaotic parallel world which is war-torn."

"And the most crucial question now is, why did I get isekai'd?!"
