The demon emperor, who will save him

As I arranged the food on the table, I couldn't stop thinking about Alexandra, It had only been two days, or even just one if I am not mistaken, and I was beginning to trust her, She looked so innocent, An innocent girl with a hard experience, What surprised me most was where she got the strength from. No girl is like her, not even a general's daughter.

"Hey, aren't you done? I am hungry. I didn't eat last night," Xandra said as she sat.

"Really? But I prepared something for you before I left," I said.

"Besides, I fell asleep because I was damn tired."

"Tired? What made you tired?" he asked.

"I was looking for you, I searched everywhere for you," she said.

"Oh, I'm sorry about that. I hope you forgive me, my lady," I said as she smiled.

"Yes, you are forgiven, my lord," she said as we both laughed.

"I can't wait, Where is the chicken… yummy." Within a minute, she had finished five chickens.

"Xandra, you're going to finish all the chicken," I said.

"Oh, but there is something you have to know."

"And what is that?"

"You have to know that chicken is not good for men; it makes them weak," she said with her mouth full.

"Wow! Really? Damn me, I never knew. So it doesn't make women weak?"

"Even if it makes a woman weak, you won't notice because women are naturally considered weak, But if a man is weak, damn, everyone will know, You don't expect a man to be sewing when he is supposed to be hunting, farming, or working," she said, smiling.

"Yeah, that's true," I said as I looked at the plate; there was only one chicken left. As I tried to pick it up, Xandra quickly grabbed it.

"Damn you, Xandra, I haven't eaten any chicken," I said.

"Damn you, nameless, chicken is not good for guys," she said.

"Xandra, that's unfair."

"Wait, how is it unfair? You ate the food, and I ate the chicken; it's equal, Why are you complaining? Don't worry; I will save the bone for you," she said.

"Am I a dog?" I asked.

"No, you are not, Besides, I didn't say that, I will save the bone for you because the bone is good for the body due to its high rates of calcium which helps build strong bones and teeth," she said, smiling.

"I'm speechless," I said.

"I'm full," she said as she stood up and went to the living room.

"Wait, take your plate to the kitchen," I said.

"Ouch, it hurts," she cried.

"What hurts? Are you okay?" I asked.

"My back. The wound hurts. I can't stand up, Please help me take the plate to the kitchen," she said.

"Oh, when you were eating, did you feel any pain?" I asked.

"Nope, it just started," she replied.

"Oh, it started when I asked you to clear up your dishes, right?" I asked.

"Yeah, you got it right," she said as I just smiled and cleared the table.

I came back and found her with a book.

"Wow, you are a writer, Can I read this?" she asked, smiling.

"What's the title?" I asked.

"The Demon Emperor, Who Will Save Him?" she said.

"Don't read that. I'm yet to complete it," I said as she turned, and I saw the mark on her neck; it was a mark of a traitor, She is a traitor, I see why she has so many scars. She lied to me, I was beginning to trust her.

"Xandra, who are you?" I asked as I stood up.

"Why ask?" she asked, surprised at my outburst.

"Damn you, how could you have lied to me? How dare you!" I shouted angrily.

One thing I can't control is my anger, That's why I tried so hard to never get angry.

"Meaning? If it is a joke, stop it," she said.

"Funny, did I look like someone who is joking? I'm damn serious, You're a traitor, you didn't tell me when you introduced yourself," I shouted.

"I am not a traitor, And how did you expect me to tell you that I am a daughter of a traitor? It isn't possible, I can't, Do you think it is a good name? I am not proud of it; so you don't expect me to tell you," she said as tears rolled down from her eyes down her cheeks.

I felt for her, but my anger had taken over me.

"Damn you, do you know you have endangered my life? Royalty doesn't mingle with traitors; you know that, right?" I said angrily as her eyes turned red.

"Damn you, I am not a traitor, and you never told me you were royalty, Besides, you hid your identity from me," she said angrily.

"I should have known. The scars on your back revealed everything, but I was stupid, believed you, and trusted you. I should have known," I said angrily.

"I am not a traitor…,

"Shut up! I would rather not hear anything from you. The penalty for this is death, but I won't kill you. Just leave and never show your face here," I shouted.

"I am not…

"Shut up and leave before I change my mind. I don't want to kill you. No matter how the urge to hate you and kill you, I can't just kill you, and I hate the fact because I don't show mercy to my enemies," I said.

"So we are enemies now? Well, we were never friends, I don't blame you; that's my destiny and how fate has made it. I know it hurts so much, but it isn't your fault," she said in tears.

"Just shut up and leave. Don't ever show your face here. I would rather not see you, and if I see you again, I swear I will kill you. Your words mean nothing; you traitor," I said angrily as she ran out in tears.
