Chapter 12 - The Heir Untamed

Noah's POV

I sigh watching Matthew run up the stairs after Mila. I take the tea Adira was handing me and smile as I watch her sit down next to me. She wasn't very close to me which saddened me. "Good tea. I like the flavor it's like strawberry and raspberry." I say. She nods and runs her hand through her already dry dirty blonde hair which has beach waves in it. "Look, I understand if you want to reject me as your mate. I'm a mermaid and we won't work out. We are mortal enemies so I just understand if-" I put my cup on the coffee table and take both my hands on the side of her face. I pull it close to mine until our lips meet. The kiss was gentle and sweet unlike my usual ones.

"Adira. You are my mate. My one true love. My kitten… I will never leave you for you being a mermaid, shoot well I really don't give a damn. I love you for you and who you are. And if you even speak about me rejecting you I couldn't even bear the thought…" My voice hitches at the end as tears roll from my eyes as well as her paleish blue gray ones. I wipe her face as she kisses me again and leans her forehead on mine. "I love you, Noah." She says giving me a breathtaking smile. I pull something out of my pocket that I was going to give her back at the house. I show her the small silver ring with the blue stone in it. She watches the small stone glide onto her ring finger with ease.

"W-what is it for?" She asks her voice cracking slightly. "It's moonstone. A gift from werewolves long ago that my 5 times great grandfather made for his mate so people would know she was the Luna. It's a promise ring. I promise to love you for eternity and maybe when the time is right. This ring will become more than just a promise. BUt a proposal…" I watch the ring on her finger slightly glow. I watch as little orbs of light come ou ton the ring and circle her head. They start spinning fast before her head absorbs them. On her head is a tiara made of seashells and sea glass. Her eyes were closed and as they open they are glowing a bright blue. They fade away to her beautiful gray and blue eyes but she is staring at me with fear.

"What's wrong love?" I ask attempting to put her on my lap but she quickly stands up and runs towards where we came from. I follow here quickly but see her dive into the small pool and out through the tunnel towards the ocean. "Shit…" I say running back into the cove to find Nahla, Elijah, Mila and Matthew. "Noah? What's wrong mate?" Elijah says as I sit down. "Adira just ran off after the ring I gave her put a crown on her head…" I say. All of the girls eyes light up in shock as they start looking around the cove and grabbing stuff. "Do you guys know what mermaid blood can do to people?" Nahla says cut her arm slightly causing blood to dip out as she puts it in bottles. We all shake our heads no and stand up. We watch as Nahla casts her hand over her wound and it heals. Mila starts putting some powders and liquids into the small bottles and after some ingredients they turn magenta. She grabs them and gives up each a bottle. "Follow us." Mila says as Nahla grabs three tridents each with a clear stone in the center of them.

We reach the pool in no time and we all hop into the water with the girls. Their legs turn into there beautiful tails with golden sparkles and there matching tops they wear. "Drink up boys." Nahla says with the tridents still in hand. We open the bottles and drink the oddly colored liquid which tasted like salt water making us squeam a little. Suddenly we are pulled underwater and bubbles surround all of us. I feel my legs growing heavier and longer as well as disappearing. When the bubbles fade I swim up to the air and breath before looking down. I see my shirt has disappeared and my legs. Oh no. My legs are gone and in there place is a bluish teal tail matching my eyes with silver sparkles. I look over at Matthew and Elijah who's tails also match their eyes; Matthews being a dark blue and Elijah's being a sorta mix between green and brown as well as with silver scales. "So you guys will have mermaid forms whenever you wish now. That's what our blood does with the right mixture. Turns people into mermaids. And take these I have a feeling we will be needing them." Nahla says tossing us all our tridents. When they touch our hands them emblems in the middle turn into our tails colors. Matthews glow his dark blue with a type of blue energy particles around the top of it while Elijah's seems to be creating tornadoes as he waves it in the air. I get a feeling of what mines does and point it towards the water. Suddenly all the water from the pool is lifted in the air and we are floating above the pool carvings where the water is supposed to be. I let it go and the water falls back into the pool and splashes onto the sides. "Let's go to Eldoris and save our friend." Mila says as we all dive underwater and start heading towards somewhere called Eldoris.
