Chapter 3

He walked out of the building and headed for the main village his plan was to get some people to follow him. He hoped that they too had lost some one. When he got to the main village he found out that preparations had begun to go after the raiders. They had gotten word that the attackers came from the north and had already attacked other villages apart from theirs. Some men volunteered to go with them and rescue anyone they could. Trevor felt his hope strengthen. At least with more people, it would be easy to find his sister and probably others that had been taken. He quickly walked over to register. The man at the counter seemed nice. He was fat and nice he had a genuine smile that reached his eyes. "Your name young lad?" "Trevor" "Trevor what?" "Just Trevor" " You lost someone?" " Yeah I lost my sister" "Well cheer up young lad we'll find her sooner than you imagine." "Thanks". " Nah its nothing now when you go out there just be careful". This man; he had a particular vibe it was a nice one he liked him immediately. He took a sword and walked along with the others looking back twice to the man. The man just smiled and waved at him.

Trevor felt like he was forgetting something while they were on their way. Well he didn't have time to think about that. As they walked on, he heard the men engage in series of discussions, some of which ended in arguments. But he could feel the love they had for each other. It was a small village and there was enough love to go around for everyone. Some of the men there did not even loose a person to the raiders and yet there they were; walking aimlessly around trying to find someone who wasn't their own It sure said enough of the villagers. But before he could walk up to them to join in the conversation, they heard a loud sound. A man had been caught in a trap. This made them know that they were in the enemy's territory. Next thing they knew, there were arrows flying everywhere one arrow even flew past him. Missing him by only a hair breadth. They all tried to move and prevent the attack but they engaged more traps. Really, very, deadly traps. Traps with poison. He saw many of the men die by the arrows. They were only few of them left. Then the enemy came out. There were more enemy swordsmen than there were the men from the village. They drew out their swords and prepared for combat. They swung their swords, fiercely at each other. The majority was winning soon just 3 of the village men were left. Trevor included. They were surrounded and the only option was retreating but the taiders wanted none of that they still attacked. Two of the men were down Trevor was the last man standing. Suddenly, he noticed something. A kind of strength that he had been suppressing it had been unleashed. With bloodshot eyes, he attacked swinging and killing the more he killed, the more his thirst for blood grew and the better he got at using the sword. Soon most of the enemy were dead. Seeing that they being defeated they ran but with the speed of light, Trevor caught up with and killed every single one of them. When they were dead, he was at rest. He was so happy that he could control his demon if not, he could have killed even the village men that were still alive. They both watched him with awe. One even asked "where did you learn to fight like that?" "Ooh that, well my uncle taught me that." "hmmn" " now lets get you two home. Are you strong enough to ride your horses?" "yeah we can handle it". They walked out of the forest and headed to town. Someone came out of the bushes where he was hiding. He had been watching all that had happened and he smiled to himself. He could have intervened and saved his men but he didn't he wanted to know the golden haired boy's potential. " After all my years of searching I've finally found you. Now I just have to give the word to king Jabin and his daughter.

Trevor got home with the village men that were left. They met a large crowed of the village women- wives of the men that went out for the search. They didn't even think on their way home of what they would tell the rest of the villagers. Immediately they came down from their horses, they were bombarded with questions. " where are the rest? did you guys decide to leave them? did you find anything? why aren't they here? what's going on?'''''' The one that got the best of him was "where are our husbands?" They had no answers to any of the questions. But one of them didn't think telling them what happened would be wrong. What's more, he didn't even care so he just said it " we were attacked in the forest and we are the only ones that survived it. That's thanks yo Trevor." They all looked at him then one of them said "Why couldn't you save my dear husband?" He was weakened on hearing those words. "Look... I really tried but there was nothing I could do. If there's one thing I know, it's that your husband is one of the bravest people I have known. He fought bravely." One of the women was rolling on the floor and crying saying, nothing you say will make sense I lost my son to those b*stards and now this, hhaaah ill never make it past this. Do you know the pain i feel do you? No obviously you don't". Trevor was speechless there was only one thing he could do. Bending low, he held her chin up so she could see him then he said " I promise you and everyone here today that I will try all I can to make sure that you all get the revenge you so desire. And as for your lost love ones, they will be back to hold you, to hug you and to love you. That is what I will do.
