Death is poetic

"Are you still interested in seeing it?" With a sly grin, she inquired.

"See? "See what I mean?"

Delilah laughed, his face flushed with lust.

"Morian, the symbols on my back."

"Certainly, yes."

He got up and moved closer for a better look as she turned around. Delilah let out a gasp as her skin was grazed by his cold fingers. The blood drained from his face as he traced a line down her spine. He knew exactly what this meant and who had sent it.

"How did you get this?" he seethed.

"I didn't, as crazy as that sounds, I woke up one day and it was there."

"You are a fascinating conundrum of a woman." He cleared his throat, unsure whether to focus on the beautiful naked woman in front of him or the fact that her old lover's ghost had etched messages on her back.

She turned to face him; she could tell he was upset.

"Do you hate tattoos? You seem displeased."

"Not at all, I just worry about you. That's all. You once mentioned that you were haunted by strange dreams, do you mind sharing?"

"I love that you worry about me this much, it feels comforting to know someone cares about me this much. And I don't remember these dreams but they are very emotionally charged. I don't want to talk about it."

She looked into his eyes, then at his lips, holding his neck, smiling, and pulling him into a kiss. He drew her closer as his hands traced down her sides and settled on her waist. His throat let out a deep grunt. She laughed with delight as she felt his hardness rub against her; she was drenched in desire. She stopped the kissing and pushed him onto the couch.  She stripped down to her underwear and stood completely naked, a wicked smile curving her mouth. If there was ever a time to thank God for the gift that had been bestowed upon him, this was it. She sat on him and kissed him again, grinding her hips against his groin. He placed his hands on her ass and grabbed her tightly, assisting in the endeavor with great vigour.

She bit his ear and whispered to him; "let's go to the room."

He did so without hesitation, carrying her through the door and into the bedroom. He sat her down on the bed and removed his clothes. His physique was magnificent; he resembled an African God, and his buttery black skin glistened with sweat. His full lips had become deliciously ripe and swollen as a result of her kisses. His captivating eyes were fixed on her; she was the most delicious meal in the world, and he was determined to devour it. He drew close to her on the bed and embraced her, their naked bodies intertwined in glorious pleasure. Delilah was taken aback by the intensity of his embrace for some reason. He held her as if he hadn't seen her in years before letting her go, gazing deeply into her eyes.

"I don't know how to say this without risking sounding weird or scaring you."

"What is it? Speak freely Morian, it's just you and I here." She smiled at him and reassuringly brushed her hand across his face.

"I have loved you since the moment I met you, Delilah, I know this might be a lot, or bizarre. But I just need you to know, I love you in a way I have never loved anyone before. For me, the sun rises and sets with you. like the ocean you are my moon, I move to your every push and pull. Every emotion you feel affects me. Your sadness is mine, your pain is mine, and your joy is also mine. I have drank from your cup and now like a drunkard, I am at your mercy. Please do not be scared of this confession." His eyes glowed in a way that was almost unnatural as he spoke, how was he this beguiling, otherworldly, she couldn't understand how he was even real.

"I am ashamed to call the love I feel for you human and terrified of God to call it divine. For the first time in my life, I see colour, I can feel the radiance of existence. Every fiber of my being burns for you. My heart has become a temple of prayer, with altars built in your honour."
