Rain

I walk around the living area looking for Orian. last time I saw him was in the lions den but he could be anywhere now...

I leave the sitting area, walking up to our room, maybe he's resting that would make sense. His next shift isn is in two hours, it would make sense to rest.. but he could be anywhere, hopefully he's not-...

I shake my head.

maybe he's helping Star with school work? it's more likely that he's in our room.

I nod my head to my thoughts as I head down to the last room in the hallway.

Orian's perspective

Dealer walked into the room holding a small child. I stare at him and the cold as I speak up.

"what the hell did you do this time? did you kidnap him or did someone gamble him away?"

he pauses for a second before answering.

"Neither! he's ours now! if you're ok with that it is... his name is Rain!"

the imp smiled as he heard his name and reached for Dealers face. I stood up and walked twords my husband and his little freind.

"May I?"

I hold out my arms to hold Rain. Maybe having another child could work out, and not be a disaster, like most parts of our lives.. dl I even want this for myself anymore..?

Dealer hands me the baby, and I smile at Rain. This child is so adorable, he's just so happy. he smiles up at me and tries to grab my nose.

"Where did he come from?"

I let him play with my finger.

Dealer speaks

"Valentino dropped by-"

"Valentino? your older brother? he never visits! unless it's something about your mom.."

I frown

"It was more business than anything else Love. and Don't call her that."

"Andd he's suddenly in the business of dropping off small children?"

he thinks for a second

"..yes?"

"bullshit. he was born into his position and we both know it. he can't quit and suddenly start dropping off kids."

"yeah.. I knew you wouldn't buy it, worth a shot though!."

"of course not.. look we need to talk about a second child a bit more before rushing into this. especially one his age."

"yes, but-"

"no buts, even if his parents are royalty from a far away land and we we're required to take him in, we'd still need time to prepare and talk."

"that's.. you're right dear."

"of course I am.. sids the country's at war on multiple borders.. not the best time to welcome a child into our lives. He can stay with S and Nemu until we make a final decision."

I look down at rain after saying this feeling a bit guilty, but we can't just rush into this.

Dealer sighs

"I can drop him off whenever.."

"..thank you love, maybe whale you're down there you can check on Hydrangea.. he's not doing to well according to Nemu.. she's worried."

"Alright love."

he reaches for Rain and I hand him over

"stay safe."

"I'll avoid trouble if I can."

he Smiles and kisses my cheek

"I'll be back in an hour."

"no you won't. you think you can just go to S for a quick visit?"

he groans

"I hate it when you're right."

he leaves the room

I sigh and go back to cleaning my Anubis shrine

"..keep him safe.. he's a good man.. just a strange one."

I smile
