Chapter 40: Kill La Kill

~Third POV~

Honno City sometimes referred to as Honno Town is an artificial island whose center top is Honnoji Academy.

The city itself is governed by the chair of Honnoji Academy's board of directors, Ragyo Kiryuin herself, with Satsuki Kiryuin as the proxy.

Under Satsuki's rule, the city has fell into a totalitarian state with her weeding out of the weak among the school's ranks, explaining its current dystopian state compared to the rest of the world by the time of Ryuko's arrival.

Honnō City is a city built on an artificial island and divided into four levels that separate the poor from the rich.

The status of wealth depends on the student's progress at school signified by the rank of their Goku Uniform.

The higher the Star ranking, the more prestigious the standard of living, with No-Stars being relegated to the slums.

The poorer districts are further away from the academy and the richer ones are closer to it.

Honnōji Academy seemingly shared the same purpose and systems with regular schools in Japan, but in actuality, it was built as the main testing ground of Life Fiber experiments (particularly Goku Uniform) commissioned by Ragyo Kiryuin herself, with Satsuki Kiryuin being charged to govern it along with the city.

Because of Satsuki's totalitarian rule over both the school and the city itself, living and studying at Honnoji Academy are best described as an exercise in survival at its extreme, with its students (particularly No-Star ones) finding themselves oppressed by iron-fist disciplinarians and abusive, if not outright excessively strict club presidents.

Power struggle seemed to be a recurring occurrence as promotion rewards the students better, if not outright luxurious life standards and even control over the school.

Those who disobeyed the rules would be severely punished, though a death sentence occurs once the offender genuinely poses a threat to the school's well-being such as attempted theft of one of Goku Uniforms.

However, in the lower slums of Honno City is where three people appeared seemingly out of thin air arrived one was a guy and the other two were girls of the same age group.

Toga Himiko was wearing her usual clothing from her series of yellow schoolgirl uniforms with her skirt and high knee socks.

Ruby Rose wearing her natural red and black dress wearing jeans underneath it along with no cape not wanting to damage it in a mission.

Lastly, is Tatsumi wearing a white jacket with fur on his hood, gray shirt, blue jeans, and boots as they have all their belongs in their subspace using their [Re-equip] magic and for Tatsumi, his [Dark Space] finally opening up to bring out Beatrice.

Beatrice turns into her astral state as to not be detected and follows above Tatsumi viewing everything in an annoyed expression.

Before coming into the Kill La Kill world the members used their points to purchase a legal transfer for a total of 500 points proving they have all the legal documents are already within the legal government system fooling anyone who isn't paying attention.

However, in Honnoji Academy a certain blue-haired man noticed a slight change in the security system with a raised eyebrow at three people are now listed as transfer students into the system.

Upon searching up this anomaly he was going to send this information to Satsuki Kiryuin as soon as possible…

~Tatsumi POV~

Well, here I am seeing a pretty shitty place in this neck of the world.

Honno City and seeing from the anime it's as bad as I remember it to be but no use worrying about it now.

Toga is the first to comment looking around this place as we all began to walk towards Honnoji Academy, "Damn did this have a poverty or great depression hit here or something because it looks like this place has been hit hard, or is it the norm here?"

Replying to her confusion in a knowing tone with an analyzing expression, "No it's actually set up like this since Satsuki is the person who made the rules like this with even crazier rules set in place but we can actually get a good place to live once we create a club."

Ruby glancing at me with confusion she asks me innocently, "Wait? How does joining a club determines that gives us a place to live?"

Then I began to explain how the rules work in this world to Ruby and Toga what to expect in this world of survival of the fittest.

Next, I explain to both of them the constant power struggles a recurring occurrence as promotion rewards the students better, if not outright luxurious life standards and even control over the school.

But once explain to those who disobeyed the rules would be severely punished, though death sentence they both have a quick expression of surprise!

But as we get going, we going to our destination to the school…

Wait…

FUCK!!!

DOES THAT MEAN I HAVE TO TAKE SCHOOL AGAIN!!!

IF I REALIZED THAT SOONER, I WOULD'VE CHOSE SKULLGIRLS THAN THIS?!!

SCREW ME AND MY POOR LAPSE OF JUDGEMENT!!

Shaking my head again regaining the control of my fear of going to school again we see the protagonist in this world Kill La Kill.

Ryuko Matoi.

Ryuko is a seventeen-year-old girl of medium height and mid-length dark-blue tinted hair with a single left-swept red highlight on her bangs.

Her blue eyes have peculiar gear-like pupils with eight grooves around the edges and her outfit at the start of the series is a simple white shirt with a red ribbon tie, a black miniskirt, white sneakers, and a black & white jacket with rolled-up sleeves.

Ryuko glances at us as she glares at us saying to our group, "Hey dumbasses! Are you three going to try to rob me as well?!"

Rob her?

Oh!

Then she already has met Mako and her brother then but better resolve this quickly before she gets angry at us.

Calmly defusing the situation, I quickly raised both my arms with a smile as I say to her, "No we're just new transfer students that came here I guess you came to Honnoji Academy the names Tatsumi pleased to meet you."

Ruby who was a bit scared of Ryuko got up to appear to Ryuko behind me as she introduces herself, "Oh… hello there I'm Ruby Rose it's a pleasure to meet you."

Aww…

Ruby is too cute for her own good.

Next was Toga to introduce herself in a friendly manner, "The same sup! My name is Toga Himiko it's a treat to meet you."

Ryuko noticing our nice approach cools off from her earlier attitude as she smiles at the three of us, "Well shit sorry about the earlier outburst I had a run with a couple of runts trying to rob me. The name is Ryuko Matoi a pleasure to meet you all. I guess you came here to attend Honnoji Academy, right?"

Whew…

That was close we almost made an enemy of her.

Replying to Ryuko in a friendly manner I speak to her as we all head towards the Academy with Ruby viewing everything for the first time, "Yeah we came here to Honnoji Academy for the education from what I heard but also for another reason but what brings you here anyway?"

Ryuko looks at me with a raised eyebrow as she was about to speak only till we finally reached the entrance of the Academy.

Wow!

I guess we are really fast walkers up here.

Looking up we see someone up to hang by two ropes on his wrist completely naked with a sign saying 'As Such Justice Was Served' now this school is interesting.

Ryuko looking at the body comments the school as we finally get going inside the Academy, "Huh… Even with the town, the school is disturbing… if this school is interesting, I might be able to take charge…"

With that we all went inside the school fortunately for us the points we used were certainly worth it since the facility members accepted us inside and had us join in in Ryuko class…

Neat.

With that everything goes as from the anime with Ryuko to her meeting Mako again with me, Toga, and Ruby in the back seats of the class.

But it seems to me Ruby is enjoying herself in a world of peace for once.

Blink.

Now that I mention it this would probably the first time for her and Toga in a normal world setting than their own, I wonder how'll they'll adjust to this world.

With that our new school life begins as Mako was talking with Ryuko while I, Ruby, and Toga stick to ours for the time being.

As the class was over everyone left but before that, I went towards the teacher surprising him a bit as I say to him, "Hello there teacher can you please give me a Club Form so that I can give it to the Student Council later today as soon as possible?"

The teacher looked surprised but he actually had a form and told me in a blank voice, "Uh… sure just make sure to turn in this to me or personally to the Student Council Members but I wouldn't recommend –"

I didn't bother listening in to the nudist leader as I took it and went on my way to the outside as I brought out a pencil to write down our club name.

As I left outside the classroom Toga and Ruby met with me outside as Ruby asks me with excitement in her voice, "Oh! Tatsumi you finally arrived, and you have a Club Form what are you going to name our Club?"

I only smirked at her not revealing the paper as I began to write it down.

With that Toga was the one to guide us around the school since she is someone more familiar with a Japan Academy since she is from one.

When a few amounts of time have passed we were all outside eating the lunches I prepared as everything they ate was filled with pure joy.

Ha ha ha ha!

I can't believe a while back when I was in the Re: Zero world Echidna helped me out with her Authority to what [Divine Protection] I received from Reinhard at the time and the one I got is pretty useful for me and our group I team up with.

[Divine Protection: Taste King] an ability that no matter how I cook, the food will come out delicious.

Smiling at this time everyone started to mobilize into a single line with two rows trying to introduce someone.

Ruby getting confused at this asks in a curious voice, "Huh? Hey, why is everyone acting this strangely in two rows should we follow?"

Toga looking around the place views that a group of people is following one person, "Well that is something you don't see every day but what the hell is with the flashes of light?"

Yeah…

That is going to be a trend isn't it.

"KIRYUIN SATSUKI!"

What the hell!

But I wasn't the only one to see this as Ruby and Toga gave out their own responses, "What how! / Why are there letters in the sky!"

Scratch that remark about this world being normal and viewing the names in the sky didn't bother the students here…

I guess that is going to be a trend now but Satsuki herself, however…

Satsuki is a tall slim woman with an angular face similar to her mother's. She has thigh-length dark-blue tinted hair that has inward diamond-shaped bangs hanging over her forehead, blue eyes, rather thick eyebrows, and a rather large bust.

But next, I see Ryuko stand up to Satsuki with a smug look on her face as she says to her in a defiant tone, "Hey! Are you the strongest one in this school? I have something to ask you!"

Next things were going all according to the anime as I know Ryuko is going to be destroyed soon might as well help her out but it good thing I had my club form completed plus it will help out Ruby and Toga as I already put their names on the signature.

Although Ryuko does make a good fighting match seeing easily dispatches a group of One Star Goku Uniform users with ease since it increases fighter power by 10% into superhuman levels.

But I wonder what effects will it do to us if we wore them a power boost perhaps?

However, this is where things take worse for Ryuko as the Two-Star Goku Uniform user the boxer Fukuroda takes action as he pummels down Ryuko to the ground damn…

Seeing the blows and furry of the boxer I took the chance to complete the club form and telling the members to go to class since it's going to start soon, "Hey Ruby, Toga class is starting soon you guys better hurry I have to turn in the form to them and help out Ryuko escape?"

Toga nods her head as Ruby agrees as well but asks me in a curious voice, "Ok will get going then but are you thinking that she is a prime member to join?"

Shrugging Ruby answer I honestly don't know yet?

The two people I have in mind are the twins Ryuko or Satsuki but that will be determined for the future hell maybe Mako if she makes the cut.

But seeing the scene change with Ryuko hardly standing against him I took this chance to get in between them surprising the people here.

Will this get me a lot of attention?

Yes.

Do I care?

Not really since it doesn't matter in the end if they find me or try to search me it's not like they can find any info about me or the other two.

Plus, I get more trust with the MC of this world don't know if it's useful in the future as a possible member.

As I get in between the fight I told Ryuko to run since she is out match here but she will get stronger tomorrow so expressing with a smirk, "Hey Ryuko how about you run from here it looks like you're unmatched against this guy but doesn't worry I got your escape cleared so get going already."

Ryuko looked surprised tried to refute me but knows she couldn't since she can't win at the moment, so she took her chance as she yells at me, "God damn it! Fine, then Tatsumi but I hope you don't live to regret it dumbass!"

I learn to regret this?

Not a chance but now I was viewing the furious boxer he glares at me as he tries to mock me for protecting Ryuko, "What the hell man! How dare you interfere in this fight against that girl! What are you a Knight in Shining Ar– "

Already got close to him I already have my leg at a kicking position in a man important area with a blank look as I kick him in the balls with minimal effort?

"AHHHhhhhh!!!!"

Next a quick scream of a girl was heard throughout the school as the boxer was holding his jewels in pain as the rest of male population in the school hold their balls for protection

"Why man! Why did you aim for the – "

Getting annoyed very fast I kicked the teen when he was down again.

"Ahhhhh!!!!"

Seeing that he was still screaming I aim for his head effectively silencing him but damn that guy can scream.

I wonder if he should look for being in the music business with those vocals.

But the next thing I see was Satsuki glaring at me then finally says to me in a commanding tone narrowing her eyebrows, "Tell me student why did you come to Matoi aid and defended her against Fukuroda!"

Giving her a blank look I gave her my reason was for my selfish wish, "I just wanted to help her out as a friend I suppose for my reasons but also that guy was in my way to meet you personally since I have something for you."

Satsuki looks at me unamused by reason as the students begin to murmur to themselves as I brought out the form I have with an amused smile, "Well I was either supposed to give you this form or to a teacher since you are the head of the student council president I was wondering if you can open this club ok."

With that, I threw her the club form with my member's names inside as she raised her eyebrow unamused by the name, "The anime and training club?"

Taking that as my cue to leave I decided to be bold to give her a surprise that left everyone completely shocked even the great Satsuki herself at that moment.

Quickly getting over to her side giving her a quick kiss on her cheek I told her, "Well have you considered smiling more often it would suit you well. Kiss~"

A simple kiss on the cheek was enough to shock her I highly doubt she was expecting that.

But then again she wasn't dating anyone before since the guys here are scared of her then that means she is safe to date as she is single right?

I used that moment well to give her a surprise with that me leaving to class being very bold to do that to her as I was now in my next class without anyone registering what happen only leaving off a very shocked Satsuki for tomorrow since it was near the end.

Now my first day here is coming to an end in Kill La Kill is just good but I bet her friends will be out for me after this.

Although I welcome the challenge but otherwise a pretty good start of my sudden school life.

Now I wonder what tomorrow holds next is the question and teasing Satsuki might bring me some fun.
