Chapter 20: Kryptonite!

Metropolis

Outside the LexCorp press conference venue, amid the continuous sounds of intense clashes, Clark looked at Lex and confidently said to him:

"This young man is more powerful than you imagine, Lex."

"Oh? I didn't expect our future Pulitzer Prize winner to say that," Lex raised an eyebrow, then suddenly noticed something. He chuckled and said:

"Well, then I'll look forward to his performance."

Meanwhile, inside the LexCorp press conference venue, due to the impact caused by the collision between Jerro and Metallo, a large amount of dust filled the air, making the entire venue appear hazy.

The ceiling of the venue showed slight tremors, and the walls were shedding plaster. Cracks appeared on the elegant marble floor.

Two streaks of light once again crossed paths, and the figures of Metallo and Jerro descended.

The silver Metallo, emitting a faint green light, landed on LexCorp's new combat robot, which was covered with silver armor. The red-armored warrior, with some silver armor on his body, landed on the ground. The tremendous impact left a large crater beneath him.

"I'll just borrow LexCorp's new weapon." Metallo inserted his right hand into LexCorp's new combat robot.

Numerous mechanical tentacles extended from Metallo's right hand. Jerro realized something was wrong and immediately controlled the two EX rifles on his back to fire large-caliber bullets.

However, the bullets, of the same caliber as anti-material weapons, left no marks on Lex's new combat robot.

In the next moment, Metallo's figure disappeared, but LexCorp's new robot began to emit a green light.

"Because it's an exhibition model, it isn't equipped with weapons, right? But it doesn't matter; I am the ultimate weapon!"

Metallo's voice echoed within the new combat robot. Countless unidentified mechanical tentacles roamed inside the robot, quickly turning this octopedal machine into a giant killing machine.

Looking at the ten-meter-tall octopedal robot in front of him, Jerro, who had a relatively small stature, drew another Spazium Sword.

"I don't mind having an extra hostage while seeking revenge against Superman! Kid!"

Metallo laughed wildly, and numerous mechanical tentacles emerged from the interior of the octopedal robot. With a fierce wind, they attacked Jerro.

Facing this overwhelming tide of mechanical tentacles, Jerro swung his dual swords to expertly block all of them. Judging by the readings on his visor, Jerro recognized that this metal was not of Earth origin; the technology that enhanced Metallo was definitely extraterrestrial.

However, with so many extraterrestrial villains in the DC Universe, Jerro found it hard to pinpoint which one Metallo was associated with.

Jerro's EX rifles behind him continued to fire, diverting Metallo's attention. A large number of high-caliber bullets attracted Metallo's attention, forming a 500mm cannon.

On Earth, the largest caliber for naval guns tried by humans was 406mm. Considering Lex's technological level, if he were to fire a cannon based on this caliber, it might not only destroy a conference venue but potentially launch half of Metropolis into the sky.

"Die, kid!"

Metallo's cannon aimed at Jerro, and little green lights continued to gather at the cannon's muzzle. A Kryptonite energy shell capable of destroying half of Metropolis was forming.

"I can't let him succeed," Jerro thought to himself. It wasn't about being a goody-two-shoes; destroying half of Metropolis was beyond his moral limit.

He disarmed himself, removing all the weapons except for the two Spazium Swords. His speed increased dramatically, and in an instant, he appeared in front of Metallo. He swung his swords toward the 500mm barrel, intending to sever it.

"Hahaha! I knew that you superheroes couldn't resist causing collateral damage whenever you appeared."

Metallo laughed manically. Two razor-sharp mechanical tentacles appeared behind Jerro and intertwined. They began to spin rapidly, forming a high-speed spiral blade aimed at Jerro's back.

"Save half of Metropolis or your own life? Choose, Ultraman!"

Metallo's maniacal laughter echoed in Jerro's ears.

In the face of such a perilous situation, the nearly adult Jerro had only one thought.

He wanted it all!

Jerro quickly threw both Spazium Swords, which struck the 500mm cannon, causing a massive explosion.

Boom!

Due to the Spazium Swords being embedded in the barrel, the stored Kryptonite energy experienced a violent surge, triggering a massive explosion.

The explosion generated a shockwave that damaged some of Metallo's systems, requiring some time for self-repair.

Jerro's Spazium Swords were completely destroyed by the explosion, leaving nothing to retrieve.

In the next second, as Metallo's consciousness upload reached 99.9%, it stopped. His consciousness upload was incomplete!

Boom!

An explosion occurred behind Jerro, with the high-temperature heat roasting his rear armor. Jerro activated his cooling system, and a large amount of hot air vented from the exhaust ports, making his figure appear somewhat illusory.

In a heap of ruins, Jerro found Metallo's remains, including the Kryptonite inside him. It was extraterrestrial technology unlike anything he had seen before, and it needed to be sent back to the Ultraman Noa for examination.

However, in the moment after Metallo's body exploded, in a certain location in the Lighthouse Nation, a silver-colored bio-mechanical robot "opened" its eyes.
