Chapter 151

Rose was taking a bus to leave the city, a great opportunity to blend in with the crowds in a transportation system with few security measures.

However, A.R.G.U.S. has access to all cameras connected to the government system.

So when she entered the bus station, she must have made a small mistake, and the facial recognition system found her.

The agents came when she got on her bus, so Rose had to jump out the window.

The chase then began and led to this almost empty three-story parking lot.

"Robin didn't mention there were so many."

Kid Flash said this when he saw the number of agents entering the parking lot.

"A.R.G.U.S. agents certainly move quickly."

Starfire remarked.

"I counted fifteen of them. There were ten inside the parking lot, and the other five stayed in the cars while blocking the exits."

Dio informed everyone.

"At least they're not using those heavy A.R.G.U.S. armor and weapons."

Kid was right. They're all in suits and armed with common firearms.

"All this started with an off-the-books mission, so they can't use all their resources so openly; it would attract too much attention."

"Should we wait for the others?"

Starfire asked him and held firm to not just jump in and help Rose.

"Raven, can you tell how she's doing?"

Dio could hear the hearts of those inside, but he couldn't see through walls.

"She's on the second floor now while running but not tired, but she's feeling a bit scared and annoyed."

Raven said.

Well, this is as good a time as any to introduce themselves.

"Kid Flash, you'll take care of the cameras along with the recordings after a few rounds and confirm that there are no civilians in the parking lot."

There shouldn't be any guards here since it's a public parking lot, but it's just a precaution.

"Why take care of the cameras?"

Kid asked curiously.

This has never happened before since they are the good guys.

"Because, whether we like it or not, we are going against someone in a high government position, and if she has images of us fighting or helping someone against her men, that can be legally used against us."

Dio explained, and he nodded understanding everything.

It's not unheard of for edited or manipulated footage to appear on the internet or in newspapers to paint a bad picture of certain heroes.

"The rest of us will meet her once you give her the green light. She likely didn't have time to steal a car yet and is heading for the top floor, given her breakout at this point. Let's meet her there too."

Kid Flash ran as fast as he could to the parking lot, which was already locked by agents outside.

The rest of them flew high and waited a few meters above the top open floor of the parking lot.

It didn't take long for a teenager wearing a red cap with loose white hair to climb up.

Rose was dressed in very simple clothes with blue jeans, a white shirt, and sunglasses.

After that, four armed and black-suited agents appeared behind her.

"BOOOM!"

One of them shot at her, but she jumped to her left and took cover behind a pickup truck with her superhuman agility.

The four armed men took positions with their weapons and moved into the spaces between the parked cars.

Rose leaped over an ordinary car and landed a punch on the jaw of the agent next to her.

He couldn't even aim his gun before she dropped to the ground and rolled underneath the car.

The agents in front of her crouched and were ready to shoot her, but Rose had already gotten up and jumped onto the roof of a car.

When she saw two of them crouching, she leaped and kicked them both in the face with a spinning kick.

The only one left pointed his gun at her.

"BOOM!"

Rose dove, and the bullet passed over her before the man lowered the pistol to aim.

She pulled a small knife from her shoe and threw it, then hit the man's hand.

"HAAAAAAAA!"

Rose advanced and kneed him in the nose.

There were five that went up and four that were already down.

"She's a good fighter; it will be an honor to fight alongside her!"

Starfire exclaimed from the side in her warrior mode.

"I'm done!"

Kid Flash appeared on the roof they were on before and showed hard drives he must have taken from the camera system.

"Anyone inside?"

Dio asked.

"No, aside from the A.R.G.U.S. men, the place was quiet."

Kid confirmed.

"Great, then let's go with that."

"It might be better if only two of us go. She might accept that better than thinking we're attacking,"

Raven suggested.

"I think you're right."

"I'll go!"

Kid Flash shouted through the communicator.

"No!"

"No!"

Raven and Dio canceled Kid Flash's request.

He's not like Wally from Young Justice, who hits on every girl. But he is a bit hyperactive, and some people find that part of him difficult to accept at first.

"Starfire and I will go."

Dio said.

Raven is good at everything, but Starfire is more social, which is what we need at the moment.

"After that, we'll meet there."

Dio pointed to the building two streets away from where they were.

The two of them floated slowly to the parking lot. At this moment, Rose is trying to open a car door with a piece of wire.

There is another agent coming up behind her and pointing his gun.

"BOOOM!"

Dio sped up because he thought she couldn't dodge backward.

Then he saw her in slow motion, moving out of the bullet's trajectory and rolling to the left to avoid the bullet.

That was interesting.

Dio didn't see how he could have seen the trajectory of the bullet facing backward—maybe one of her powers?

He didn't dwell on it and made his move. He carefully watched the bullet fly in slow motion through the air.

This is his fastest speed when flying, which is pretty good compared to what he could do before.

Dio quickly took the bullet he was holding and went to the shooter. He gave him a light touch on the chest, which stopped his speed.

An ordinary person could only see Dio showing up in front of the agent, who then suddenly flew backward after being hit by an invisible force.

"Hello!"

Dio greeted Rose and tossed the bullet to the ground.

She is already on the ground with one hand on one of her shoes, where another small knife must be.

It's hard to see her face because she's wearing sunglasses and a hat, but the fact that she hasn't attacked or tried to escape is a good sign.

"Since you took care of that idiot, you're not with them, but that doesn't mean you're with me,"

Rose said while slowly getting up. Then, with a small knife, she tried to hide from him by running her hand down her leg until it stopped at her hip.

"Sister, we're here to help."

Starfire spoke gently to her.

"I'm not your sister, and I don't need help."

Rose replied sharply.

"You're a great warrior. A warrior like you should know how to accept help when needed."

Starfire tried again and was unfazed by her earlier words.

Looking at the woman's smile, Rose seems to have given up talking to her and focused her attention on Dio.

"We have to go. I can hear four more agents coming up, and more cars are heading this way. Why don't we take this conversation to another place?"

Dio asked.

Rose looked around, and even an ordinary human could hear the approaching sirens.

"All right,"

Rose finally decided.

"I can fly you there if you accept..."

Starfire began, only to stop the next moment.

Rose moved faster than an average person would.

She held her small knife between her two fingers and tried to stab him in the neck, but he grabbed her wrist to stop her.

"We're not your enemies, and we won't hurt you."

Dio said it as calmly as possible. Then Starfire had already clenched her fist.

"How can I know?"

Rose asked in the same position.

"Because if not, we wouldn't be trying to talk, right?"

Dio released her wrist to prove this.

Rose still seemed suspicious, but she lowered the knife and put it back in her boot.

"I'm not going to be carried by anyone."

Rose demanded.

"Let's go."

Dio said this to Starfire, who started to float.

He did the same and then pointed to Rose, who also began to float beside him.

The flight spell he created could be used on another person as well, but he didn't have control before, so he avoided trying it.

Now, Dio had no problem controlling someone else and flying at a good speed at the same time.

Rose was a bit tense but fought not to show anything to them as they flew to the rooftop they agreed upon earlier.

"We're not alone, so don't be startled."

Dio warned as he gently set her down.

Then Rose took a few steps forward without looking at them.

She stood in front of the fence on the roof while facing the exit, with no one behind her.

Shortly after, Raven emerged from a shadow on the ground, and Kid Flash appeared in front of Rose.

"Hi, I'm Kid..."
