Chapter 191: Experiment

[Anthony's POV]

The Seven Deadly Sins were agitated because Pandora's Box was recently opened.

They should have returned, or at least most of their power if the Pandora Box had been opened.

Unfortunately, the Syndicate emerged and messed up the ritual, releasing the Seven Deadly Sins. 

They were almost released, but they are now trying very hard to escape from their confinement on the Rock of Eternity.

"I knew you were here, Pandora."

I said, teleporting to the Rock of Eternity.

She was now standing near their prison while preparing to fight them.

"Strange, the famous hero and Archmage."

She said, turning to face me.

"What do you want?"

"You are in my domain, so what do you need here?"

I asked.

"… Don't interfere with me fulfilling my duty,"

She said, pressing her lips together.

"You were young and ignorant. What happened was not your fault. Even the Wizard understood that, but someone had to be blamed…"

I said and approached her.

 "The Seven Deadly Sins have become an integral part of humanity and all other beings… they can be fought but not destroyed. The only way to completely kill them is destroying all life in the universe."

"… It was I who released them, and I will fight them for as long as it takes. The Seven Deadly Sins have tried, are trying, and will try to corrupt my mind, infiltrate my desires, play on my weaknesses… but I will stand firm as a rock and not falter."

"You recently released invaders from another universe into the world. They could have become a bigger problem than the Seven Deadly Sins at the moment."

I said, looking at the sealed Seven Deadly Sins.

"I… didn't mean to."

She looked away.

"But the Sins must go. I don't know how, but… without them, it would be better."

"Not anymore. It is impossible to get rid of them completely…"

"What do you propose?"

She turned to me.

"I can strengthen the seal and keep them here for a long time."

I began.

"I can even help seal them back into your 'Box,' but that won't eliminate all sin. They will regain their strength over time."

"... I agree."

She said after a moment's thought, taking out Pandora's Box and handing it to me.

As my Will was strong enough to interpret into a "strong heart," I took it in my hands and opened it.

I then began to seal the Seven Deadly Sins inside and began to shriek and threaten with divine retribution.

"They haven't disappeared..."

Pandora observed.

She was very sensitive to the Deadly Sins and realized that although they were now in the Box, their presence had not vanished from the world.

"But thank you... I have been working towards this for a long time."

She looked at me.

"You're welcome. It wasn't hard for me."

I shrugged.

"What do you plan to do next?"

"... I don't know."

She replied simply.

"Don't you want to become a protector of the world against evil? You've been fighting the Deadly Sins for millennia and are as strong as Archmages. Evil in the world doesn't only come from the Sins..."

 I began to persuade her that if she did not join the League, then she should at least agree to help when necessary.

I achieved my goal, and she decided to assist me in helping her.

After that, I focused on the work of LuthorCorp and expanding the corporation's influence worldwide.

The corporation's authority significantly increased when people learned about Atlantis.

There were many comments about this event on different forums, where people speculated about whether Cthulhu was there and much more.

Mera acted as the queen of Xebel, while Atlanna was the queen of Atlantis, and together they represented the marine people.

This was not done randomly, as there are other underwater kingdoms whose rulers look somewhat off-putting to humans.

I also took the time to create a space base that anyone with a small magical tattoo in the form of our "Justice" symbol can teleport to from the League.

Everyone who participated in the recent battle has this tattoo.

After this, Flash didn't mind becoming a member and staying informed about what was happening through communication with Cortana.

Currently, Lena and I are in the dimension of Azarath, where Raven comes from.

After a portion of Trigon's released power caused many casualties here, Raven sought help against her tyrant father.

However, it didn't change the fact that this place was incredibly beautiful.

"Sweet wine from a tree, I think I've seen it all,"

A genuine smile adorned Lena's face after she tasted the "juice" flowing from the tree which resembled Earth's wine but was of much higher quality.

"Oh, I wouldn't be so quick to say that. But yes, the wine tree is quite a nice feature. But here, even the clouds are denser than on Earth, and you can stand on them for a while."

"Really?"

She glanced up at the sky.

"You can fly, shoot lasers from your eyes, see and hear things happening on another continent... and you have a sun god's soul in your ring, yet you're surprised by clouds?"

I put my arm around her.

"One must still find things to marvel at. It's quiet here..."

She whispered, leaning on me.

"The absence of a large population, progress that pollutes the environment, and overall pacifism work wonders"

I hugged her, and we spent some time in pleasant silence in each other's arms.

"You're planning something, aren't you?"

Lena broke the silence as we watched the beautiful sunset of two moons.

"You know me so well."

I chuckled.

"It's just... we've been through so much together in these short eighteen months, and it's only the beginning. There are still countless dangers in the world, but many wonderful things. And I would like... well..."

I hesitated under her intense gaze.

"In short... to strengthen our bond even more."

A beautiful ring appeared above my palm.

"Is this a proposal?"

She suddenly became excited.

"Well, yes, that's exactly what it is. You wanted a family, maybe children... so I'm not against solidifying our bond with marriage."

"Yes!"

She hugged me tightly and kissed me.

At that moment, the ring flew up and merged with the one she already had on her finger, slightly transforming.

"But... in our world, it will be..."

"I don't care about them. I recently destroyed star systems with strikes. Why should I care about people's opinions?"

I raised an eyebrow.

I did experiments on the bodies of Syndicate members sometime between hanging out with each of the girls and going to other planets.

Ultraman's body was like an inside-out version of Clark. The Kryptonian genes were similar but differed in fundamental places.

If Clark's powers come from yellow stars, then Ultraman's come from Kryptonite and his home Krypton.

This makes his body more efficient at absorbing energy. 

He needs about two hundred grams of kryptonite to recharge for decades and become even more powerful, but Clark needs to fly into the Sun for such an effect.

Owlman didn't interest me much—just a guy in an owl costume.

However, he is nearly as brilliant as Bruce, and his knowledge might be helpful somehow.

It was only he who didn't notice that his beloved Superwoman was cheating on him.

She was quite the slut, having slept with John Quick a few times, not to mention Alexander Luthor and Ultraman.

Speaking of Lex Luthor, he had acquired quite interesting powers from Mazahs, the opposite of "Shazam."

He could absorb the superpowers of meta-humans, divine powers, and even energy and psychic abilities by simply killing the being and holding its body for the Mazahs lightning to strike.

I also studied the body of the evil version of Aquaman. I learned nothing new, so I destroyed all their bodies and took Mazahs's powers.

Thus, the Syndicate was completely dead... unlucky for them.

"Administrator-kun will soon be a married man... hehe, and I'll be having fun with him behind his wife's back, hehe."

Shinoa grinned mischievously.

"That's all you can hope for."

Lena looked utterly superior at her to show who was in charge here.

"I'm seventeen, so I'll manage without that for now but I do have a ring too."

She showed off the ring I had given to all the girls from the chat.

Hermione Granger: Tony, I'm ready; I'm waiting for you!

"It seems Hermione is about to take her step."

Shinoa smirked, having also read the message in the chat.

"She asked for help with the Dragon Veins of her planet to normalize the magical background. She's already managed it under Hogwarts, but there's a concentration of these Veins under the Pacific Ocean... where giant monstrous creatures have appeared. She handled one on her own, but help with the Veins is still needed."

I shrugged.

"Yes-yes, go ahead. We need to gossip here."

Shinoa waved me off, earning a slap on her behind, after which I immediately found myself in Hermione's world.

Hermione was currently at Hogwarts, peacefully sitting on a bench, reading a book belonging to the Dark Lord of the fourteenth century, detailing rituals related to Dragon Veins.

"Tony, I'm glad you came."

She immediately noticed me and stood up from the bench to rush and hug me.

"Oh, I'm glad too."

I hugged her tighter, then ran my hand down her waist.

"..."

She fell silent, burying her face in my shoulder.

"You used to jump away from me, embarrassed by my actions."

I teased.

"Well, time has passed, so I've changed a bit. Dumbledore is now at the World Council of Wizards, discussing one of the huge monsters that recently emerged from the water. I helped destroy it."

Hermione told me.

"Well, I'm more interested in you than him."

I admitted.

"Hmm... let's start by helping me with the Veins."

She stepped away from me and raised her hand, instantly changing her clothes to something more practical.

"I've already found the location of the most powerful Dragon Vein, but one of those monsters is likely there, and it should be much stronger than the last one."

"So, I'm here as backup?"

I understood her plan.

"Yeah, I just don't want people to suffer because of my overconfidence. So, if I can't handle it, you'll help me... alright?"

She turned to me.

"Oh, my help doesn't come cheap these days..."

I chuckled.

"I... I'm ready for anything."

She blushed, surprising me.

"But let's deal with this problem now, before Headmaster Dumbledore has a heart attack."

She transported herself with me and hovered over the ocean.

The planet's largest energy flows were located underwater... where some Cthulhu-like monster dwelled.

It noticed our presence and opened its eyes.

"Um, there's a seven-kilometer monster down there."

I informed Hermione.

"That's good. It means my spell wasn't wrong."

She smiled.

"I thought it might have been interference from the amount of mana down there, but apparently not. Though seven kilometers... that's a lot."

She bit her lip.

"But I'll try."

She said confidently.

However, that confidence wavered when the monster emerged.

It may have sensed Hermione's magical power and wanted to devour her, or perhaps it sensed danger.

She possessed quite powerful abilities and an equally impressive destructive force, so the Cthulhu couldn't hit her with the water jets it controlled with its magic.

Also, due to its huge body, it moved quite slowly.

"I am the one who will awaken soon!"

She began to enter the Balance Breaker mode, which surprised me.

Apparently, she had diligently trained her sacred gear to be able to harness a significant portion of its power.

In this state, she attacked the monster, and the results of her attacks were already visible.

Cthulhu, or whatever it was, began to cry out while trying to hit the agile girl somehow.

Still, with each attack, she only increased her speed... so it decided to swim away underwater.

However, I didn't let it do that and completely pulled it out of the water to allow Hermione to finish it.

She promptly consumed part of its life force with her spell and further enhanced her attacks, capable of easily wiping megacities off the face of the Earth.
