Thank You

Marcus did his morning routine and went ti the dinning hall to have his breakfast. Like uncle Gale said the food was already on the table. They were in a tightly shut container. Marcus opened the lid and saw the dish inside it. It was all his favourites. To be more precise Olivia's favourite. He never had any interest in anything. He loved everything his beloved loved. And now, she's not here to share the joy.

Marcus started digging in. Old memories flooded in. The image of hin feeding Olivia. The image of her being stubborn due to the illness. How she craved to eat these. His eyes fell on the cake which aunty Leena has prepared. It was also her favourite. He saw a note beneath it. The edge of the note was wet in chocolate syrup. He read the note.

" Cheer up son, you are precious to her as well as for us. Don't shut yourself in the villa. Visit me once in a while. I'll make your favorite cakes and puddings for you. Son, we all miss her. I know you miss her the most bit I'm sure she doesn't want you to be sad and shut yourself up. Son.... Be strong. "

Marcus smiled a little.

He sat still for a while and stood up taking the cake and placing it inside the refrigerator. He walked back to his room and took the diary and flipped to the page where he stopped the last day. He sighed to himself and started reading.
