With a loud bang, the clinic's door was swung open, and Harry dashed in. Upon seeing Peter, who had just come downstairs, he voiced his confusion, "What are you doing here? I went to look for you at your house, and Aunt May said you didn't come home tonight. I've been worried."
Yawning and stretching lazily, Peter replied, "The doctor is absent, and the clinic's location is not very secure. I'm staying here to prevent burglars."
Walking swiftly to the island counter, Harry poured himself a glass of water, gulping it down, and then said, "Quick, pack up right now. Come with me to Hollywood!"
"What happened?"
"I called Mary Jane last night, and she was fine. However, just because she was okay doesn't mean my dad hasn't made a move. I found out from our family butler this morning that he sent some guy to Hollywood to persuade Mary Jane to break up with me!"
"But luckily, when my dad's guy arrived, Mary Jane was filming at another location, and he didn't find her. But we need to get there now and stop him!"
Peter didn't question why he needed to go too. Seeing Harry in such a flurry, he quickly grabbed his phone and said, "I'll go home now to pack, then we'll leave for Los Angeles."
"We don't have time. We have to leave now. I've already prepared a plane."
"A plane is too slow." Peter pulled Harry, dashing out of the clinic's door, and then pulled out a ring from his pocket, stating, "You have to know… the times have changed... Open Sesame!"
A dozen or so minutes later, Peter and Harry appeared in a small alley in Los Angeles. Harry was still in shock as he hadn't encountered magic before, let alone understood how his friend was able to open a teleportation portal.
But right now, he was more worried about Mary Jane's situation. As soon as he landed, he wanted to rush to the street to locate the man Osborn Sr. sent. However, Peter held him back, signaling him to stay calm.
"Dear God, Peter, let's stop wasting time. Do you know what horrifying things might happen if my dad's man finds Mary Jane? Do you think Mary is mild-mannered like Gwen?"
Muffling his face with his hand, Harry said, "She's a feisty girl who values independence and resilience. When I heard that she wanted to make a breakthrough in Hollywood, I subtly offered to invest in her career, but she was angry for a week because she thought I saw her as a 'clinging vine'."
"She got the roles because of her own abilities, but everyone misunderstood due to my status. I already feel guilty. If the man my dad sent mocks her with spiteful words, I honestly don't know how I could face her."
"So how do you intend to find her?"
"I…"
Harry was choked up; he realized his concern for Mary Jane was causing him distress. He hadn't even investigated who his father sent or what hotel they were at.
"Although Uncle Osborn might not hide things from you intentionally, he definitely values the reputation of the Osborn family. The person he would send wouldn't be from the Osborn Group staff nor his friends. It's highly possible he would be someone who'd received previous favors from him and could conveniently get to Los Angeles."
"But there are so many people like that. How are we supposed to find him?"
Scratching his head, Peter said, "Wait here for a second; I'll find someone."
Peter started typing feverishly on his phone. Looking at the screen, Harry realized he was inquiring in a constantly refreshing chat group. After a while, an avatar on his contact list flashed, and Peter immediately clicked on it.
"Hi. Peter 7865, you're in Los Angeles, right? My friend and I are facing a problem, and we need your help right now…"
As Peter started keying in swiftly, Harry asked curiously, "Who's this? Do you have friends in Los Angeles too?"
Shaking his head, Peter said, "This is Spider-Man from another universe. Like I told you before - the Spider Legion. They're now spread across the world, carrying out various tasks to earn academic credits."
"Stark Group's space transportation project is spreading across the West Coast. I guessed several Spidermen came to help. It just so happens there's one in Los Angeles. He's on his way now... Oh, here he is!"
Looking up together, Peter and Harry saw a shadow arching across the sky. The figure made a flip in mid-air and landed with a stylish pose. He dusted off his hands and approached Peter and Harry.
"Oh, hi, 7865. I'm Peter Parker from this universe. It's nice to meet you... Oh my gosh, who's this?"
Peter exclaimed in surprise when a tiny figure emerged from behind Spider-Man. The Spider-Man turned around and lifted her, waving to them with one hand and saying, "Hi, Spider-Man from the Central Universe, I'm Spider-Man, and this is my daughter Mayde."
The Spider-Man in front of them didn't hesitate; he immediately took off his mask. Harry made a surprised noise, as this Peter Parker was a middle-aged man, far from the young and robust Peter he was familiar with.
"Hi, does Spider-Girl really look like this when she's a kid?" Peter laughed, "She ought to come and see how adorable she was as a child. Awww…"
Mimicking childish noises and gesturing towards Mayde, Peter watched as middle-aged Peter sighed saying, "You should be able to imagine what a scene we made when Spider-Girl and I first met."
Peter showed an understanding smile, "Let me guess. You must have been against her becoming Spider-Girl, and she thought you had no right to meddle since you weren't her father."
"That's it." Middle-aged Peter replied shrugging.
"Hey, can someone explain to me what's going on here?" A puzzled Harry finally asked.
"As you can see, this is me from another universe, this is my daughter from another universe..."
When Peter got to this point, he suddenly realized something, and an awkward expression appeared on his face.
Harry knew Peter very well, when he saw Peter with such an expression, he squinted in confusion, but was more concerned about Mary Jane's matter, so he asked, "Alright, what should we do next?"
"There are a few more Spider-Men in nearby cities that I'm summoning, and on their way here, we can go check on Mary Jane's movie set."
Peter stroked his chin and speculated, "There must be a lot of journalists around the set, so that person would absolutely not dare to reveal his connection with the Osborn family, or it would damage the Osborn family's reputation."
"So, we are going to rush to the movie set first and see if there is any suspicious character around, but we shouldn't be discovered by Mary Jane, so we need another hand to distract her attention."
At this point, the middle-aged Peter who heard a familiar name frowned and asked, "You guys came here to find Mary Jane, why would she be in Hollywood?"
"She is shooting a film in Hollywood." Peter hurried to explain, he pulled a forced smile on his face, pushing the middle-aged Peter forward, and said, "Let's hurry there, or it will be too late."
Harry folded his arms, watched the backs of the two Peters with skepticism, and wondered what game they were playing.
In the corridor of the New York Stark building, Stark walked ahead while another Peter chased him from behind
"Wait a minute, wait a minute! Mr. Stark! You can't just barge into the lab of the central universe, we agreed before we came!"
"Shiller tricked me!" Stark turned back and raised his voice, "Peter, you foolish boy, this cunning psychologist fooled our universe's resources, I'm just coming to take back what belongs to us!"
"But, but he also saved everyone, he is the one who resurrected the people who died because of Thanos..."
"But he dared trick me, I have to confront him!"
Saying this, Stark strode off to the lab, slammed the door of the lab open with a "bang".
In the lab, a figure was busy in front of the lab table with his back against the door, Stark stormed in and yelled at him without hesitating, "Hey, stupid Iron Man from this universe, where did you hide that damn psychologist? You... Howard??!!!"
Stark froze on the spot, because the person who turned around at the lab table was not himself from another universe, but looked like him, it was his father Howard Stark.
But Howard seemed to be even more surprised, he opened his mouth in astonishment and said loudly, "Why are you still here?!! Didn't I tell you to go to refuge immediately?!!"
After he said it, he began to messily gather the materials on the lab table, then pushed Stark out, saying, "Get out of here quickly, find a place to hide, don't you know..."
Suddenly, a hurried sound of high heels came from the corridor, then a "bang", a beautiful lady in a professional suit walked in from outside the door, her gaze fell directly on Stark without looking at Howard and started yelling at him.
"Anthony Stark! You better explain the issue of Helen's origin to me immediately, what relationship do you have with Loki Odinson and Pepper Potts!"
"Also, among these two people, if Helen Stark's mother is present, why aren't you married?!!!"
Stark had turned into a statue, because the lady who appeared before him is Howard's wife, his mother — Maria Stark.
And another sense of crisis replaced his shock at seeing his parents again in a matter of seconds, because Maria was glaring at him with an extremely unfriendly gaze, Stark was very certain, if he couldn't give an answer within ten seconds, he was as good as dead.
But at this point, Howard took a step towards Maria, looked at Stark with a stern expression and said, "That's right, Tony, you should really explain it to me and your mother, there must be some misunderstanding here, you definitely wouldn't be that kind of person who will be an irresponsible man who has a child out of wedlock, right?"
Howard was winking and making faces at Stark, Maria glared at her husband unhappily, Stark kept opening his mouth, completely at a loss for how to respond, he was still in shock from when the female version of Loki showed up in front of him with a child.
But besides the shock, he couldn't even imagine how the story happened, because no matter how you look at it, Stark from this universe having an affair with Loki was shocking, even more shocking was, it might have been him who had an affair with Thor, or Thor had an affair with Loki, it might be...
When Stark recalled these matters, his genius brain was filled with these terrifying ethical relations that left him dazed, he opened his mouth and made a few "ah"s but couldn't even make up a story that wasn't too outrageous.
At this moment, Peter turned to Stark with a naive look on his face and said, "Oh, Mr. Stark, no wonder you gave Loki a few weird looks after he was resurrected..."
"Shut up, I was..."
"You even told me before, you didn't expect that Loki would look quite pretty after turning into a woman..."
"Peter!"
When an angry Stark turned his head back to meet Maria's gaze again, the storm in her eyes could have shredded him.
