When Ray'ven woke again, it was a dull throbbing in her head and she winced while sitting up. This proved to be a bad idea as her head swam and she flopped back against the furs she had been lying on.
"Ugh, why?" She whined, breathing through her nose to stave off nausea that decided to show up.
Kowali cleared his throat. "Because you asked for the way and I showed you the way?" And now he was to be punished because of it tomorrow morning. "Your friend escaped with the blonde, brown-eyed devil."
Ray'ven's eyes popped open wide as she looked over to where Kowali sat next to her. "Strel is gone?" She asked incredulously. A part of her was hurt by this, but another part felt that it was for the best. Her lips pressed into a frown as she thought it over. Was Strel that angry with her that she left without saying anything?
"No, she's hiding in your breasts," Kowali said sarcastically. "Yes, she escaped. Our men hit one of them in the chest with an arrow."
