Chapter 49

Suni shook her head, disobeying, "I am scared."

"Don't be...There are no sharp objects here, and he won't use your magic anyways. We don't even know if he would come out or not." He said, remembering the last time Abeloth didn't appear when she slept. 

She sighed in defeat and snuggled closer, wincing in pain, "Ah!" 

"Ugh, I can't even hug you due to the bruises!" He sulked. Not getting any response, he turned to her to see her staring off into space. He raised his eyebrows and read her thoughts. She was thinking about how her wings and back hurt, and the pain had shot through the whole body. 

He waited for her to ask him and after a few seconds, she did. 

"Val?" 

He hummed in response. 

"Did something happen to my wings?" 

"No, Not that I am aware of." 

"It hurt very much before, so much that it was unbearable...If-If I show you...would you check them now?" She stuttered.
