Dark Hero in Tate no Yuusha

Vishwa found himself reborn in an anime world known as "The Rising of the Shield Hero" as a Morsan. At the tender age of six, he was bestowed with a cursed weapon called the Great Sword Tizona, a weapon of legendary status crafted by unknown beings. Due to his deep-rooted mistrust in others and the fear of meeting the same fate as his father, who was betrayed by his supposed friends, Vishwa chose to live as a lone wolf. As he grew stronger, he formed a team of slaves to accompany him and together they embarked on a journey to slay ferocious beasts. Along the way, he even lent a helping hand to the shield hero. *** Author's Note: I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to share my initial Fanfic with all of you, as it marks the beginning of my journey towards becoming a proficient writer. Continuous Level Up (5)

The demon's playful tone had vanished as he spoke sharply to Morsan.

"Tsk, you don't even know how Mana corruption works? I failed to corrupt someone like you?! That's impossible!"

Morsan could sense the air vibrating from the sheer pressure of the demon's anger. He couldn't understand why the demon had been calm earlier when Morsan had attacked him but was now angry. It was as though he was a ticking time bomb.

Morsan answered truthfully, hoping to glean some useful information while his eyes wandered around, searching for his real body. Since he didn't know if the being in front of him was true or fake, he wanted to avoid any unknown danger.

"Why should I have resisted my anger? As I said before, I also wanted to throw my anger at something, so I played along. That's all."

The demon was incredulous.

"Played along?! That's all? For real?!"

Morsan nodded firmly.

"Yes, for real."

Demon slapped his forehead hard as he looked up to the sky while muttering some unfamiliar words, ignoring Morsan who was vigilantly looking around. After what felt like an eternity, the surroundings got a little bit calmer, after taking a deep breath the demon once again took a look at Morsan.

"Let me get this straight, you... let yourself be corrupted because you want to kill some people you hate, despite knowing they are not real but monsters. Because of that foolish decision, now you're on the verge of losing yourself to your anger and hatred, Tizona also can't help you in this situation, so what will you do to escape from here? Do you have a plan?"

Morsan felt complicated when he heard the demon as he wondered why he hadn't attacked him yet.

"I did not anticipate the situation escalating this far. By the time I realized something was wrong, it was too late. I felt trapped and believed Tizona would save me. In all honesty, it was his fault that caused this mess. It should have warned me about the danger I may face during the ritual. Despite my current appearance, I am still completely sane as you can see. I like this state of mind as it allows me to express negative emotions without constantly worrying about their consequences. I do not wish to escape, but instead, I want to level up further."

Morsan didn't hesitate to answer the demon before him.

He felt happy that the demon did not attack him, but at the same time, 'a part' of him wanted to fight the demon badly. This part of him constantly urged him to kill the demon, and Morsan did not try to control or resist it.

Instead, he let it be. He found 'this part' of himself quite cute, as it only wanted to kill everything and everyone that he didn't like, even though there were other ways to make their lives miserable.

Morsan appreciated this part of himself, as he was always ready to take action when he was confused and didn't know what to do. For instance, when the demon first appeared, Morsan was confused and conflicted, but this part of him attacked the demon without hesitation.

Although it was foolish to attack someone as powerful as the demon without a plan, Morsan believed that it was better than being controlled or dying without doing anything.

"That part" was not something that appeared inside Morsan's head from nowhere; it was an essential part of himself that was constantly suppressed by his rational side. He always held back from expressing his negative side and was afraid to show it to others. He suspected that awakening "that part" of him, which helped him to express his negative emotions while fighting, was the "Mana Corruption" the demon mentioned.

Morsan liked "that part," but that doesn't mean he would gladly give control of his body to it. It is just nothing but a tiny part of him, and it has its downsides as well. He just acknowledged its existence and accepted it.

The demon raised his eyes in surprise before laughing maniacally. "Hahahahahaha... so that's how it is!! it's not that my magic failed, but your mind was already messed up. I should have used another method, I see."

Chills ran down Morsan's spine as he heard that crazy laughter. The temperature of the surroundings temporarily dropped to a certain degree. He didn't know what that demon guy understood by his half-assed answer.

Morsan had been on edge until the demon's playful smile returned.

"Name..."

"Huh?!" Morsan looked truly confused at the sudden change of attitude in the demon.

"I asked your name..."

"Morsan."

"Morsan, huh? You don't have to worry anymore... you already won, I lost. This is going to be our last meeting. In the far future, you will meet my real self, and by then, it won't be this easy."

"Wait!! Are you not real? what do you mean by that?!"

He completely ignored Morsan as he grasped his hands together. The whole surroundings started breaking down like a stone was thrown at a fragile glass.

Morsan felt like he was thrown into the bottomless pit as some kind of force left his body. His [Berserker] skill canceled on its own. The mental tiredness that accumulated from his long battle overwhelmed his mind all at once.

Although his body was completely fine, he couldn't maintain his composure due to immense mental tiredness.
