Dark Hero in Tate no Yuusha

Vishwa found himself reborn in an anime world known as "The Rising of the Shield Hero" as a Morsan. At the tender age of six, he was bestowed with a cursed weapon called the Great Sword Tizona, a weapon of legendary status crafted by unknown beings. Due to his deep-rooted mistrust in others and the fear of meeting the same fate as his father, who was betrayed by his supposed friends, Vishwa chose to live as a lone wolf. As he grew stronger, he formed a team of slaves to accompany him and together they embarked on a journey to slay ferocious beasts. Along the way, he even lent a helping hand to the shield hero. *** Author's Note: I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to share my initial Fanfic with all of you, as it marks the beginning of my journey towards becoming a proficient writer. Blood Knight(10)

Morsan paid no attention to Vigeil's unusual silence and concentrated on using his healing magic on his hands.

The skin on his hands had peeled off, revealing the bare bones underneath. Despite the horrifying state of his hands, Vigeil's attention remained solely on his sister's well-being.

With another burst of bright light filling the room, Morsan's healing magic restored his hands. Although the process involved the sound of bones shifting, Vigeil didn't utter a single cry of pain until his entire arms had been healed.

Morsan maintained his silence, patiently waiting for Vigeil to come to a decision. After a brief moment of quiet, Vigeil lifted his gaze to meet Morsan's. His eyes were devoid of emotion, and the anger and animosity he had displayed earlier were nowhere to be found.

Strangely, Morsan felt that Vigeil was even more menacing and lethal than before. He couldn't fathom what thoughts had been running through Vigeil's mind during the past few hours, and he regretted bringing him along. Vigeil finally spoke, his voice tired but grateful.

"Sir Blood Knight... thank you for everything you have done for us... I will repay you whatever it costs... I promise... I know I am asking a lot... but may I ask your help for once again?..." Morsan couldn't help but look at his hollow eyes.

"What kind of help do you want me to do?"

Vigeil didn't respond to the question right away. Instead, he glanced past Morsan to where a large, overweight man was lying. Morsan followed his gaze and saw that the man who had attacked Vigeil's sister was still unconscious and partially undressed.

"I wish to inflict as much pain as possible upon him before killing him. Would you be willing to assist me with that?"

Morsan attentively absorbed the emotionless voice. Unable to resist, Morsan released a deep sigh and gently rested his arm on Vigeil's shoulder.

"Vigeil, pay close attention. I understand that you are the only one who knows the immense pain you're experiencing at this moment. You possess every entitlement to exact revenge on that wretched individual in any manner you see fit, and I have no objections to that. However, the present moment is not opportune... and the method you contemplate is not appropriate."

"Mm?..."

Vigeil appeared truly perplexed by Morsan's statement.

Morsan without answering, proceeded to approach the motionless, fat individual, firmly grasping his right arm and presenting it to Vigeil. With a small infusion of his Mana, an unusual symbol materialized on the hefty man's limb.

"Are you aware of what this is? It represents the ownership of a slave through a curse mark. Unlike the bandits and corrupt soldiers who can be eliminated at will, he is a slave trader involved in the illegal trafficking of humans to Siltvelt. Many innocent lives, including your sister's, have been disrupted because of this despicable individual. He possesses a crucial connection that we require to rescue the kidnapped victims. Moreover, I doubt that your sister would be safe if you were to kill him. He might have set certain conditions, such as the death of his slaves upon his demise. Therefore, we must proceed with utmost caution. After removing the curse mark from each individual and extracting all the necessary information, I can facilitate the necessary preparations for you all to propose the appropriate punishment for him as his victim in an official manner according to Melromarc's law. Does that sound fair enough?"

"H-huh?! Wait...what?!"

Vigeil's face went blank for a moment as comprehended what Morsan said.

"Is my sister still not released?! H-how can I possibly set her free!?"

With a desperate expression on his face, he inquired, while frustration was clearly visible.

Morsan simply smiled calmly at his flustered countenance.

"There is no need for you to be concerned about that... our helpers have already arrived..."

"Helper?!" Vigeil tried to look around if there were people other than them who had come, but he couldn't find anyone.

"Hey, how long were you guys planning to hide there?"

Morsan muttered in his annoyance at the certain direction. After a few moments of silence, a big frustrated sigh in a male hoarse voice can be heard. "How many times do I have to say? don't expose our existence carelessly."

In an instant four individuals appeared from nowhere accompanying that voice, and startled Vigeil. He looked at them vigilantly as he held his sister.

"Calm down, they are the helpers I spoke of." Without explaining further information to Vigeil, Morsan took out the two magic crystal balls from his coat and gave them to the person with the biggest figure of those four.

Simultaneously, a multitude of soldiers adorned in complete suits of armor arrived and halted before them. The emblem of the royal lineage was emblazoned on each piece of their armor.

Upon a signal from one of the cloaked individuals, they forcefully dragged the scantily clad slave trader as if he were a mere canine with disgust on their faces. A female knight, distinguished by her light green hair, approached the location where the siblings stood and kindly extended a piece of fabric to cover Vigeil's sister.

"Sir Blood Knight, these people...?"

Despite their watchful gaze, Vigeil continued to scrutinize Morsan without accepting their assistance.

"They are royal knights who have arrived to rescue all the individuals held captive in this place. You can place your trust in them. They will liberate your sister from the curse that binds her. Accompany them, as I have some unfinished tasks to attend to here."

Despite being Morsan's reassurance, Vigeil showed some hesitations before accepting their help and went with them. Morsan just smiled gently at him as they went out.

"Heh~ That kid seemed to trust you more than the royal knights, Morsan. Should I say as expected of Lord Blood Knight?..." A cloaked figure with the biggest statue of the four removed his hood and showed his wolf-like face and yellow beastly eyes before speaking with a mocking grin on his face.
