Beiming Mountain Day 144-147 Part 5 Returning for more

Azure Feather Clan-

Ye Xinghe finished a talk with Old Xu and was cultivating diligently. Having quite a bit of a problem focusing. It all changed when a visitor arrived. Shan'guan had a way to help him most likely.

The next morning brought a rush of excitement.

As they were overseeing mock fights, Xia Yuning and Ye Xinghe were suprised at a Ye guard. More importantly those with him.

"Eh?! Xueyan!!" Xia Yuning knew the little girl.

"Lin Yin?!" Ye Xinghe was suprised the former member of the Lin family showed up. 'Is this a trick by Liang Yu? No, I am sure he has bigger things to handle. This little girl is the current concern.'

"Big sis Yuning!" An XueYan squeaked out. Her tears already running once more.

"Don't cry, take your time to speak."

Dark Moon Family-

Liang Yu had returned some days later after squashing a few uprising from those who resisted change. The concerns were brought forth and listened to of course. Then it was shut down the same as all others.

"Unification" needed a strong hand after all. Despite receiving more freedom and treated more as humans, the people couldn't give up the indoctrination influence they had. Which was to be expected.

However, the law was the law after all. If they didn't like it, they could leave the territory or forgo the protection of the Dark Moon Family. No exceptions. Most of the families had trouble with the change internally and actually thought it was a joke. Then the order that all children will attend school even more so threw them for a loop.

"Haa, no way will they advance if every 9/15 can't read or write. Let alone basic math." Liang Yu sighed thinking this would take forever. But at least the actual Dark Moon family members did the changes fast enough. Quite a few wee happy their children would be able to learn so much. "The others will have to see to these matters in the meantime, I need to get ready."

He went down to the under area checking the symbols along the wall. The treasury did not have anything of value besides the monetary way anyway. But the secret chamber within Liang Xiang's room was the important thing.

"I have the time now to use this. To busy before." The moment he made it into the burial chamber he could feel the Flame Vortex Core spinning on it's own. The body of Liang Xian was still in the process of grinding down. As well as a few other bodies. To busy to even cultivate with all the reforms happening. "It's always something when I have a reaction like this."

Steeping into the footprints on the stone stage, he rembered what it did to the actual Liang Yu. Astral Sense was pushed to the limit to keep that from happening. After all, the methods available on the wall and in the room needed to be added to enhance his cultivation.

"Ugh!" Grimacing in pain, Liang Yu's qi exploded outward. Wisps of power poured in from the surroundings as the ancient writing lit up. The bodies inside the Flame Vortex Core burst into qi faster than ever before. "This is gonna hurt..."

*Boom!* Liang Yu's body exploded. The blood and metal flakes in his bones floated for a moment before pulling back in place. Slowly his body remade itself more complex than before but not stronger.

A complete copy of the writing appeared over his bones before the qi lines that looked less like the color of Shango's and closer to the resemblance of his own flames. If one looked closer on the microscopic level, the ancient writing flowed in the qi lines.

"Ahhhhh!" Liang Yu screamed in agony as he battles the souls of the previous patriarchs that surfaced up. A long generation of souls wanted to take him down and influence his mind. "Humph! Pieces of shit!"

*Fwoosh! Fwoosh!* The Flame Vortex Core circulated all the qi available in the room. The qi lines on his body burning brightly. Astral Sense changing as Liang Yu battle against multiple will's.

Up above the Dark Moon Family, a lighting storm was present in the clouds. However, it was the strangest thing they have ever seen before for those looking up. Blue white lighting clashed against a dark purple lighting.

Bursts of booming thunder gave birth to small spurts of fire. The mixture of colors caused those outside to cower in fear. The violent qi was not something they wanted to deal with.

Unlike the past Patriarchs, Liang Yu was used to the grinding of the Flame Vortex Core. Resisting it was easy and fighting in was easier. One by one they peeled away providing nourishment for his soul and mind.

Understanding of the Soul Killing Array and ancient battle techniques flooded his mind. As well as a few secret spots in the country for later. The atrocities committed by the family were something to think about.

"The last four generations were the problem. Then again.. that is the past." Liang Yu pushed his circulation of qi faster. "Blasted trouble is higher now but nothing time can't take care of. I understand cultivation a hell of a lot more for sure!"

*Woosh!* Qi fluctuations circled the room. The stone did not change at all. Liang Yu was able to put togethor it was the same as the blasted stone in the Smelting Trial. The ancient words were all gone however.

"Well... need to leave something behind in here." Liang Yu pulled up the information of the Cultivation Technique of the first Patriarch of the clan. His fingers glowing as he mumbled the words to let him engrave on the wall. "Blasted runes! Shit is hard as hell to understand!"

The next few hours were spent at work on this. Soon as he finished he went topside. Messing the appearance of the two that appeared in the burial chamber.

Shango the man god and an individual dressed in golden robes.

"Destiny, why such an interest in him all of a sudden?" Shango asked worriedly. 'Defintely not power. Leroy is know where need that level to even appear on the higher-ups' radar yet.'

"Nothing to worry about." Destiny's dual voice caused even Shango to be weirded out. He couldn't think of a single Deity that was ok with the all-powerful individual. "Just liking his development is all. Doing better than Maxmillion, Leonardo, and even the broken Hyperion. I was thinking about introducing him to Cassandra for just a little talk."

Shango's body shook in revulsion. On occasion, he met the ascended female goddess that was tied to the Celtic Pantheon. It never ended well for anyone but her. Destiny's fingers moved across the letters that Liany Yu just wrote.

*Scritch!* The words no longer fresh but turning worn and looking no different than the original time-wise. Liang Yu would never since he never planned on coming back down to the place ever again.

Shango said nothing else as his eyes watched Destiny move. Every now and then he saw a change in the golden robes. A star that represented a Dimension fluttering out of existance was enough to make him frown. Another Champion had failed to do their job.

'Oh no...' Shango's flaming eyes lost all color. The Dimensions that vanished was the one Leroy was supposed to go to originally. '.. did his friend survive the Collapse I wonder? How soon can I find out?'

As the Deities went about their business, Liang Yu was facing another situation upstairs.

As soon as Liang Yu sat down, Lian Jian rushed into the office. The weird thunderstorm was taken as a sign of something silly apparently. One of the lightings strikes revealed a small cache of diamonds. The bad news it was pilfered by another family.

"The Tianlong Treasure has been found in Beiming Mountain!" Liang Jian was excited. The idea of an ancient treasure was something else. He found it odd that Liang Yu was not excitied. In fact, he looked exhausted as he started getting dressed in his chair. "Eh, what's wrong cousin?"

"Sit down and I will tell you. I will call for grandfather as well." Liang Yu sent a message to Liang Yin using Astral Sense. It was still difficult to do, but was getting easier as time passed and the more he did it. The old man came pretty quickly. "So the Tianlong treasure..."

The next few hours were spent on discussing the Beiming mountains and clarifying that is where the resources from before came from. Which allowed them to understand that is why it was easy to remove the taxes for the next two months.

Even acting a little wasteful the funds from the Dark Moon family would be fine. Which was not going to happen. The budget was fixed pretty well. With Liang Yu holding onto funds none knew about from his travels.

After all, he needed personal funds that did not come from the family or his allies.

"So the Tianlong treasure is a trap, and you are going alone to handle it. That is just foolish." Liang Yin did not like the sound of that at all. "At least take one of those apprentices of yours. Maybe that Ye Yue girl."

"THat's right, the 7th Heavenly Layer is strong but going into a trap.. maybe if you entered into the 8th Heavenly Layer this would be ok." Lian Jian did not agree with this at all. "Besides, the old Patriarch must have heard about things now. I do not have the confidence to stop him."

"You must meet this challenge. Besides, I told you to jump that old bastard when he comes. Do not waste nonsense on one on one fighting. We are not looking for others' approval only to survive. Each of our people matter. Fighting on the enemy's terms will cause problems." Turning to Liang Yin, he emphasized the importance of winning. "Liang Jian needs more experience and you need to breakthrough soon. The Dark Moon family will belong to you both when the dust settles."

"Which is a long way from now." Liang Yin shook his head in dismay. "THose future plans of your are dangerous. Even if the North lord Mansion betrays like you say, the Imperial Family will not allow the change you are implementing."

"They will not have a choice in the matter. That is why we are training so much and hiding what we can do. 1st we need strength, 2nd we need the people on our side, 3rd we need those who are causing a problem dealt with or brought over." Liang Yu knew it would be difficult but he definitely want those in his camp on his side. If not, he would have to do something he didn't want to do. 'How many people do i have to save really? Is it just enough for the population to recover or more?'

"Then we need more people in the 7th Heavenly Realm. What about those from the Academy?" Liang Jian asked.

"Old Xu is seeing to that. Plus the people we already have are doing a fair job on hyping us up. So good job once again with that as well as Linlin making those friends." Liang Yu removed a few documents looking them over. A few more things in order that needed more time before starting. "What is troubling you both beside my decision?"

"Well..." Liang Jian looked to Liang Yin to answer, but the old man looked the other way. Basically, tell him it was up to him. "Tch, well it is about Lin Yin. Word is, she is at the Azure Feather family. Doing what, we do not know."

"Hmm, nothing to worry about." Liang Yu waved the concern off. "She is acting on orders and her personal feelings. Not a threat to us. But if you find anything out.. proceed how you see fit if you think it will be troublesome."

"Fine, just do not die when messing around." Liang Jian no longer wanted to talk about it. "The Imperial Army... how many will survive everything?"

"I have no idea at this point.." Liang Yu really didn't know. Movement outside the door got his attention. "Come on in Ye Yue." The young teen walked in with a report for him. She then stood to his side diligently after.

"You should really take someone with you. Provide experience for them." Liang Yin commented. "It would make this old man's heart more peaceful if you do." He eyed Ye Yue a bit. 'While he was away she trained diligently and didn't neglect her studies, makes a good battle maiden if anything.'

Ye Yue was only at the 3rd Heavenly Layer but she reached it by pure effort. Never asking for a single resource but more pointers on how things work. The oddest thing was her Flames as a Flame Martial Artists. The flames were clear close to see through.

Off in the mountains-

A few days later had Liang Yu in disguise at a campsite. As well as Ye Yue who managed to sneak along. She was able to hide even her qi from him. Several others from various families banded togethor to get the treasure, so at least they looked ok when traveling togethor. Traveling with the group he was not suprised to Ye Xinghe and his party arrives. They even had the old man Ling Jiu with them.

Walking forward the group stopped at a field full of bodies.

"Xinghe.. who could have done this?" Xia Yuning was dressed in some black robes. Her posture was somewhat distant from Ye Xinghe. Something must have happened in the last few days. "I know some of these guards. They belong to the Imperial Army."

"There are so many corpses..." Ye Xinghe moved up to her somewhat scared. ".. of the Imperial Guard. This cannot be good at all." His eyes caught the other people moving. 'Everyone wants the treasure it looks like.'

"Hmmm, not waiting for a better time." Liang Yu's hand stretched out as ring on his finger shined. "Can not leave you all to be devoured by demon beasts." The ring contained a rune that he was able to link to his Internal Space.

One by one he moved along sucking the bodies up. Ye Yue doing the same as him with a bracelet she had on. Most of the people that they were just robbers tacking the valuables before they themselves did.
