Chapter Twenty Seven_Target Acquired

A younger woman and an older one stood in the pouring rain; one asking questions, the other answering amiably.

"He moved suddenly three months ago, no reasons given," the older woman said, adjusting her umbrella.

"Wow, that's surprising," The younger woman exclaimed.

"He didn't tell you?" The older woman asked.

"Yes, No... I mean he didn't tell me.

"He doesn't tell me any of the 'major' happenings in his life, if you know what I mean," the younger woman explained laughing, a bit embarrassed as she pulled on the sleeves of her rain cape.

"Yes dear, I understand. There are times we might not be comfortable in sharing the happenings in our lives," the older woman said, waving her aside complacently.

"Now the address, please," the younger woman said, her body moving in an excited manner.

"Yes, just a minute," the older woman agreed, then opened her handbag, tore off a piece of paper, and hastily scribbled a name, number, and address.
