Chapter 72: The Great Feud (Part 6)

Once we left the abandoned church we arrived back at the Owl House in no time.

As soon as we did so I called a meeting with the others and explained our encounter with Alfia, leaving out none of the details.

"This is most troubling." Athena spoke. A serious look on her face after I finished giving my report. "For Evilus to have gained such a powerful member, all of you be prepared. Something big is going to happen very soon." She said.

'Oh Athena, you have no idea.' I thought.

Even so I'll make sure all of us whether through the coming onslaught.

I won't let any of my friends, no, any of my family die.

I swear it.

We discussed a few more things before the meeting was adjourned.

Once it was so I headed towards my room.

Ending up doing so besides Ryuu. Who has a dazed look on her face. She also hasn't put down the branch of the Holy Tree from her home forest Ryumilua since Ardi gave it to her.

"Ryuu, hey Ryuu." I said to her.

But she ignored me.

Seeing this I walked up behind her and squeezed her butt.

"Hii!!" Ryuu squealed.

I then saw a faint blush appear on her cheeks before she whipped around to face me. "Morax, what was that for?" She asked.

"Well you were ignoring, and I knew that would get your attention for sure." I said.

"Oh, was I? Sorry. It's just-"

Before Ryuu could continued I raised up my hand to silence her. "Listen, you don't have to say anything. I understand you must have complicated feelings right now." I spoke. My eyes going to the branch of the holy tree she is cradling in her arms like a newborn baby. "Listen I won't force you to talk about it, but just know that I'm here for you. Same with everyone else. Don't bottle things up or try to handle everything alone. Familia's exist for such reasons after all."

Hearing me Ryuu simply nodded, putting a small smile on her face. "Yes, I understand. Thank you."

"It's what I'm here for. As a captain and a lover." I said.

I then gave Ryuu a quick kiss before heading off on my own.

Since we both need some time for ourselves every once and a while.

(3rd Person: POV)

Entering her room Ryuu gently closed the door behind her.

She then went to place the branch of the Holy Tree from her homeland on her desk, and then moved to her bed. Once she did so Ryuu took off her armor and got comfortable.

She then lied down and began to think.

Mostly about her homeland, Ryumilua.

Although she had left it behind due to how her own people discriminated against outsiders, she couldn't say she hated the place. It was the place she was born after all.

But despite not hating Ryumilua Ryuu couldn't say she loved it either.

That's why receiving a piece of her homeland was stirring up complicated emotions inside of her.e

Putting a small frown on her face Ryuu released a sort sigh from her lips.

She then thought about the words Morax spoke to her only a short while ago.

Don't take everything on alone or bottle things up inside.

Remembering that Ryuu put a faint smile on her face.

"I really do have a good boyfriend and a good familia." Ryuu muttered to herself.

Then before she knew it she drifted off to sleep.

A bit of a the turmoil in her heart resolved.

(Morax: POV)

Moving quickly through the streets of Orario I soon found myself at my destination.

The guild headquarters, the Pantheon.

Athena and Leonmitchelli right beside me.

A day has passed since the operation we preformed with the Ganesha familia took place.

This morning we received an urgent summons to appear here at the guild headquarters.

Of course I know what it's about.

But I never thought my familia would be summoned.

Just goes to show how much impact we are making on the timeline as a whole

Honestly, it feels good.

A few minutes after arrival we entered the Pantheon and then a guild employee came up to our group and then escorted us through the building to a door.

Upon arrival we entered inside and found ourselves in a large meeting room with a circular table right in the center.

We were also not alone.

On our left I immediately noticed Astraea, Alise and Kaguya standing alongside her.

There is also Ganesha and Shakti in the room as well.

"Oh Athena, long time no see!" Ganesha happily shouted. Striking a pose after he did so.

Shakti simply sighed at her gods actions.

While I put a wry smile on my face.

I've met Ganesha a few times before and while he is eccentric he is one of the better gods in Orario.

After all, no one ordered him to turn his familia into the cities unofficial police force and law keepers. He did that all on his own.

So that makes him alright in my book.

"Ganesha, always a pleasure." Athena said. "Good to see you as well Astraea."

"Yes, the same." Astraea answered back.

As soon as she did so the door to the meeting room opened once again, and then came in our last participants.

First to enter was the flat-chesred trickster Goddess herself.

Loki.

Her pallum captain, Finn Deimne right beside her.

Who honestly is one of the most dangerous characters in the series in my opinion.

Not becase of his strength. Well that is a factor. But the real reason I rate Finn so highly on the danger scale is because of his mind.

He's basically the Sherlock Holmes of the Danmachi universe. Give him a few clues in regards to a mystery and he'll piece the whole thing together and unravel it in no time at all.

It's one of the reasons I'm glad he's on our side.

Actually Finns' fighting-style is how I want mine to be one day. A super powerful individual who can lead from the front, but also be a strategist who can direct his allies from the rear.

The first part is coming along nicely, but the second part is taking quite a bit longer to accomplish. Even so, I'm making my way step by step.

Moving on.

Following Loki was the childish semi-yandere Goddess herself, Freya.

Looking at her up close and personal for the first time I can't deny she's beautiful.

But there's also this aura around her that says she's separate from everyone. She's also sporting a bit of a sad look in her eyes.

Probably because Freya has no one she is truly close to.

Not the other gods and goddess's, and no one is her super simp familia.

I find it highly ironic that the goddess who can basically get anything and everything can't ever claim the one thing she wants.

True companionship.

Now I can see why she was so obsessed with Bell in canon.

Even so the way she went about getting close to him make my stomach turn.

Also if she even thinks of coming near Ryuu or gets any ideas regarding her I don't care if she's a goddess or not I'll bitch slap her so hard all that beauty will come right off her face.

Same goes for the rest of my familia members and friends.

At Freya's side is her ever faithful captain, Ottar.

Looking at him I only one word comes to mind.

Strong.

Not just because of his height or his massive body, no. Ottar's entire being just screams strong. All the way from his very core. I can see it and feel it.

So now I can see how he is able to become level 7.

Though this time he's not going to be the only one in that category.

Lastly, the person to close to the door to the room is the head of the guild.

Royman Mardeel.

Looking at him I'm doing my best to keep a frown off my face.

To be honest Royman reminds me of Cornelius Fudge from the Harry Potter series.

A fat and lazy fuck who doesn't do anything but try and hold onto his power.

Why Ouranos keeps him around is beyond me.

Going to the head of the table Royman took his seat there.

The gods in the room then took seats at the table as well. While us, their children stood behind them.

"Thank you all for coming here today. Let this meeting begin." Royman spoke up.

Things then proceeded like I remember from the original work.

Loki and Finn explained how the stolen factory devices were being used to make explosives. Ottar spoke about the mysterious high-level adventurer who attacked the factories, which I know is Zald.

Then Shakti explained how the raid party of the church encountered Alfia, with Leonmitchelli and I adding in our own accounts since we were present.

Once everything was said and done Finn nodded.

"Ok, now that that's out of the way let's get down to the main business of today's meeting." He spoke. "We've received intel from the Hermes familia on three new evilus bases. I proposed we launch a simultaneous attack and stomp them all out at once."

No one objected.

"Good. So Loki familia will take one base. I will ask Freya familia to handle one of the others on their own." Finn spoke.

"That is fine." Ottar spoke.

"As for the last base, Ganesha and Astraea, and Athena familia will handle it."

"That is acceptable." Athena spoke up.

Astraea and Ganesha also nodded their heads in agreement.

Our familia, and Royman, then hashed out the details. Until everything was said and done.

"Well that's it." Royman spoke up. "Now all of you can leave."

"Watch your mouth Royman." Athena told him. "Also, make sure to keep that mouth of yours zipped shut." She told him.

As Athena did this Royman looked like she just slapped him across the face.

While Loki and Freya chuckled at this.

Astraea simply sighed.

While Ganesha laughed out loud.

As did I.

"How dare you talk to me like that!" Royman shouted.

"And why shouldn't I?" She questioned. "After all since gods aren't allowed to interfere in guild affairs besides Ouranos yours is the most likely organization with traitors working for Evilus amongst it."

"That's..." Royman got red in the face with anger but couldn't deny Athena's claims.

"Yes, that's what I thought." Athena said. "Now then, good day." She said.

Athena then stood up and walked out of the room.

Leonmitchelli and I following behind her.

Proud smiles on our faces.

Our goddess really is amazing.
