Chapter 6

After the advising session he had with Eina in one of the guild's rooms, which was more like highschool all over again for the poor man, as he was handed entire books ranging from bestiaries to law books and was expected to memorise everyrhing in there.

Well, not everyrhing, as Eina denied him permission from delving any lower than the first 3 floors and didn't let him study up on any lower than them under the excuse that knowing about them will make him more relaxed about taking them on.

She said she would not allow another adventurer under her tutelage to die like that again and frankly bashed It in his head that 'Adventurers shouldn't go on adventures'.

Which sound stupid, I mean that's quite literaly the name of the job and just going down the depths of the dungeon was already dangerous, but by that she actually meant that one should never just risk their lives like that.

For some odd reason, everyone decided to romaticise the 'risking your life to 'impress the gods' and get a level up' by calling It an adventure.

'As If there wasn't already enough death in the dungeon. They turned down the impact of it and made It sound like something easy to achieve'

After returning to the church, Jake headed straight towards the bed, which held a sleeping Hestia in its enbrace and got ready for sleep.

As soon as he laid in bed, right next to Hestia, he was out like a light instantly, the day leaving him mentaly exhausted.

Without him noticing, Hestia, started clinging to him like a bodypillow.

*KING CRIMSON*

'Zzzzzzzz' 'huh!?'

While Jake was sleeping, he was slightly woken up, again, by the feeling of something large, soft and pilowy, exeptthis time It was on the side of his face.

Not making the same mistake again, he woke up, knowing that those were Hestia's breasts.

Except, this time, insted of having the 2 fun bags of Heaven on his face, since they were on the side of his face, he woken up with Hestia's armpit in his face.

This shocked him a bit, since he wasn't expecting that, but thankfully because of divine bullshit and because the gods did not want to stink, ever, when they used their arcanum to create their mortal bodies, they made them unable to stink.

Now, out of bed, Jake got ready to finaly enter the death trap known as... The dungeon (DUN DUN DUUUUUN).

Not a very creative name for it, but a very fitting one.

As he was leaving the church, he failed to notice the slight smirk Hestia had on her face.

'Hehehe, I heard mortal men are attracted to difderent parts of a woman's body. I don't know what Jake is attracted to so, I will tease him with as many as I can'.

*A Little timeskip*

Now, he wouldn't be dumb enough to challange the dungeon with wooden weapons and no armor, so he asked Eina If he could get some starter equipment.

"Of course. Follow me" As she said this, she lead him to a room full of iron weapons, iron armor and difderent ranged weaponry.

"Do be careful of what you take, as almost all of them have been used by other adventurers before and you will have to returna them or, If they breack or you lose them for whatever reason, you will have to pay for them"

Now, Jake pricked up an iron sword, and a set of iron armour.

Just as a test, he diecided to place them in his inventory to see If they will turn into their Minecraft counterparts.

And turn they did. As soon as the iron armor reached his inventory he suddenly heard a *ding* sound and saw on the upper right corner of his vision 'Advancement complete.

Suiting up'

After that, he saw a new OPTION next to his inventory that said 'ADVANCEMENTS'. Jake pressed it mentally and saw the advancement he made, and apparently there was a reward for completing It. That reward being .... +1 XP level and a permanent +10 vitality buff. The level was claimable at any time and the VIT buff was effective immediately, without the need for a status update.

'Cool! Wonder what I'll get for completing one of those purple advancements'.

Jake equiped his armor and sword and, just as Eina said, they were very used by others. They either half durability or under half.

'I wont be able to get very far with these' And so, he left to the dungeon after thinking Eina for her help.

'I don't remember ever having that type of sword and armor before. .... Must have brought them when I wasn't here or I wasn't looking ... Whatever' Thought Eina, seeing Jake's equipment.

After Jake arrived at the tower of Babel and entered the first thing he noticed was the gigantic, gaping hole in the ground with a LOT of spiraling staircasings on the side.

' The guild should really think about placing some guard rails along those stairs. Who knows just how many fell off of them and what happened to them'

After thinking of the safety hazard that was just the entrance to the dungeon, he started carefully going down the stairway.

After reaching the first floor Jake looked behind him and thought to himself 'I'm really not looking forward to climbing those back up'

Fortunately for him, there was an elevator that would take him back up. Unfortumately, It costs quite a bit of valis.

After reaching the first room, he was confronted by 3 goblins that burst out from the wall in front of him.

'This feels familiar'

And familiar It was because after equiping his iron sword and wooden axe, the fight progressed just like the one in the forest on the surface, exept that they had 10 hearts above their heads (20 HP) and that he was better equipped.

And he also saw some multicolored green and yellow glowing orbs heading towards him and entering him with a soft *ding* noise, filling a Little bit of the green bar above his hotbar, that he didn't notice before.

After that, he noticed that parts of the walls were of a fifferent shade of Gray than the rest of the walls. Upon getting closer, he realised that It was Minecraft stone. Looking around, he also saw a few spots with stone with some black line avere It

'That must be coal. Finally! I get to have stone tools instead of wooden ones' Jake thought to himself

Upon mining the stone, he realised that stone in this place spawned in vanes just like the ores.

He also got the advancement 'Stone age' that gave him just +1XP level.

Knowing this, he started harvesting as much stone and coal as he could. When his wooden pickaxe broke, he started making his stone set of tools. A sword, an axe, a shovel and then he also crafted some furnaces and then threw away the remaining wooden tools, getting the advancement 'Getting an upgrade' and +1 XP level and a permanent +10 in strenght.

'Alright, let's continue a Little more before getting back to the surface'

As he thought of this, he started heading for the next room, as this one was mined of resources. It wasn't a very big room.

And, once again, some more goblins spawn close to him.

He prepares his iron sword and stone axe and gets ready for battle.
