Mel woke up when she heard Max's voice. Her whole body felt sore. Slowly she got up and sat on the bedside. She sat quietly looking at the large glass window, amazed to see the blue sky outside.
"Boss... you get a lot of missed calls."
She was annoyed. Max has spoiled her moment of enjoyment when the sky outside looks beautiful. She took her cell phone from the nightstand. She saw a lot of miscalls from her Grandma, instantly she feels worried.
She checks new messages that had just come in.
[MyGrandma] Girl, call Grandma right away.
She immediately called with a worried face, " Morning, Grandma. Are you alright?"
"Girl, What's wrong with your voice? Your voice sounds so hoarse. Are you sick?" Grandma's voice sounded worried on the other end.
"No. No. I'm fine, Grandma. Just woke up." She glanced at the clock on the table; her eyes widened, 9.20 AM.
'Damn! I've slept for a long time!'
While hearing Grandma speaks, she got up from her bed and strolled to the bathroom. But before she passed the bathroom door, she stopped. "REALLY? You will move to city J?" Her face looks happy.
After talking with Grandma, she went into the bathroom. While taking a bath, she sings cheerfully, something she always does whenever she feels happy. Fifteen minutes later, she came out of the bathroom, her body wrapped in a bathrobe. Her hair fell to her back, and her face looked fresh.
She feels comfortable after soaking in warm water. She hummed a little while walking towards her spacious wardrobe. Today, she has decided to wear casual clothes; she will meet Grandma at her new house.
Mel is so happy.
Grandma finally moved into her town. She has asked Grandma to move to City J countless times. Grandma always refused. But today, she has moved to City J out of the blue. She bought a luxurious Villa in the Green Forest Estate, at the Green District, about half a month ago. Grandma is so efficient.
Her grandfather used to have a villa in the Green Forest Estate, but Grandma sold the mansion and moved out to the S city after he died.
Now, after deciding to return, Grandma chooses the same place. It looks like she still can't forget the memories she had with Grandpa when they lived in the Estate.
The location of the Green Forest luxury housing estate is right on the edge of the city J. Not too far from Mel's Apartment and office. You only need 30 minutes of driving without traffic.
She has arrived in front of the main gate of the Estate; her car stopped by security. Not everyone can enter this area; only residents or residents' listed guests with a specific access card are allowed. The level of safety in the Estate is very high. Moments later, she got permission to enter.
It's the first time she comes to Green Forest Estate. The moment she passed the gate, she was stunned by the tree tunnel in front of her.
Large trees lining up neatly on the right and left side of the road forming a canopy along the road she was passing along. This place will be lovely when spring comes, she thought. It feels like she is entering a magnificent forest, very quiet. There is no sound of passing vehicles on the freeway even though it is right next to this luxury estate. The trees are probably blocking the traffic noise.
The road was empty; she did not see other cars and did not even see anyone walking on the side of the road.
Not long after, she saw a few magnificent and large houses. That is a sign that this area reserves only for rich people. The housing price in this area is astronomically high; only wealthy people with particular connections with developers can buy property in the Estate.
When Grandma was looking to buy a house, her best friend offered her a newly renovated villa. Grandma's friend had to move to another country with her husband. Without having any second thought, Grandma immediately bought the Estate. Grandma only needs to call the interior design to furnish the villa according to her taste.
Mel stopped right in front of a three-story house. She looks at a sturdy iron black door and number 9 stuck to the wall; from the outside, the place beautiful with a modern classic but aesthetic exterior, dominated by white paint.
The gate opens as soon as she got out of the car. She saw Grandma walking towards her.
"Grandma! You surprised me. I thought you would only move in next month." She hugs Grandma, and they walked into the front yard holding hands.
Her eyes glimmer as soon as she entered the house. She saw a spacious and bright living room "Grandma!" She screamed, "I love this house. The interior is classic but modern. The design is my style." The living room is very spacious, with white walls and French windows that lead directly to the garden behind the house. The park is vast, with traces of snow is still visible scattered around.
Grandma takes Mel for a house tour. Downstairs, used as a gathering place, a vast and comfortable family room. A dining room with direct access to a beautiful kitchen. Then, they went to the second floor; Grandma exclusively uses this entire floor. As for Mel, she got the third floor.
"Grandma? Why is this floor still empty?" Mel pouted.
"Girl, Grandma did it on purpose. I want you to design this floor yourself according to your taste."
Instantly Mel's mind filled with interior design ideas fit this floor. She made a note to call her interior designer, who lives in country M, to work on this small project.
She happily laughed as she hugged Grandma, "Thank you, Grandma, I love you so much. Please never stops spoils me." Mel said it with chuckled as she was only joking.
Grandma hugged her back even tighter.
Once they returned to the living room, Grandma asked her, "Girl, you're going to live with Grandma, right?"
She didn't answer right away.
Grandma frowned. "What's wrong?" her eyes narrowed. "Don't tell me you don't want to live with me?"
Mel smiled at her. "I will stay here. But, only for weekends. Is that okay, Grandma?" Mel pleaded with her puppy eyes. "Grandma, you know the distance from here to my office is quite far. Earlier, it took me 30 minutes to come here, even though the roads were not congested. If I had to go to work from here during rush hours, maybe I need 40 minutes to 1 hour on the street."
Grandma saw her spoiled granddaughter with a smile. "Grandma understands. You can do as your wish."
"So, you agree? Yeay!" Mel childishly exciting and also because she couldn't believe Grandma had agreed so quickly. She thought Grandma would be mad. She stood up from her chair and sat beside Grandma; she hugged her tightly with her head lean on Grandma's shoulder, expressing her love to Grandma. "Grandma, you are the best in the world!"
Grandma rubs the top of her hair. "But!" Mel's body tightens when she hears 'BUT'... she peeks to look at Grandma, their eyes met "There is no bargaining, every weekend you must come back and sleeps here." She said seriously.
"Considered it done!" she said happily, then buried her head in Grandma's chest. The thing she liked the most when she met her Grandma.
