Miyuki's shock

After a horrendous day, I came back to dorm only to find miyuki on his table.

' Ah miyuki-senpai you're back? how's the game? '

*sigh*

' we won but we barely out-hit ichidai, 13-9'

' Well it's not my place to say this but senpai if our team keep playing like this, we're bound to have a hard time in the summer' Mio continue.

Miyuki was silent by my opinion. I sat down on the bed and look at him. He know seido batting lineup is top notch even in the national level, what they need right now is a reliable pitcher and ace. He aren't saying that their current ace, Tanba-san were less skilled or talent less. His problem lay with his mental fortitude. Tanba-san is good but he break down easily. Maybe the team also know this.

*sighs*

Mio look up and try to ease the tension.

'Well I know coach know this tho' He glanced at miyuki.

'Wanna help me try my new pitches?

'Ha, why are you so cute Mio-kun' Miyuki gave his signature grin.

'Don't smile like that! Your smile is disgusting '

Miyuki feel betrayed by Mio honest reaction.

Mio left the dormitory after confirming that miyuki won't catch his pitch tonight. He head to his usual place for practice. Now that the summer is around the corner Mio was trying his best to prepare himself. There's only three spots left for the first string.

In the anime, three first years took that spots. There might be a difference now that Mio was here. Mio shake his head and focused his attention to practice. One week ago Mio learn a new breaking ball, after he confirmed his control over his splitter and forkball has increased, he add change up in his arsenal.

He also want to try cutter. His fastball consist of four-seam, two-seam and his splitter. Adding forkball and change up can increase his quality. Mio actually learn to throw cutter long ago but he can't find a suitable time to hone his skill so he let it slide for a while.
